I want to delete the default brushes in Gimp, like the famous green pepper and others that I find not useful to me. I know how to do this but is there's a reason why the pre-installed brushes cannot be deleted with the brush editor?
When I right click downloaded brushes the options Duplicate Brush and Delete brush are greyed out and when I click Edit Brush I can't change anything. That is a problem because from the more than two hundred brushes I have right now I only need/like about 20 or 30. Those options are available only in brushes I created myself, by the way.
so i thought i was smart and created some new brushes. added them no problem (or so i thought) but to my dismay i cannot find my default brushes; the only available ones are those i created. did my saving the new brushes somehow delete the core collection?
I rarely use a green pepper in my work! I found the folder to add custom brushes but where is the folder that contains the default brushes. I am running the latest version of GIMP with Windows 7.
Im sick of writing the value of brushes i want to use like example: brush size 10 or brush size 20 or brush size 5 or less..
Whenever i touch to adjust brush size by mouse it always is like this: brush size 334 or brush size 554.. Why it is so easy to pick 400size brush and almost imposible to pick 40 size brush?
Brush are? its like 500px wide.. since when small brushes are obsolete?? i never use bigger brush than 50! and most of the time i use brushes that are less than 10(value)
So its pretty important for me(i hope not only for me) to easily pick small brush sizes..
I am using Photoshop CS5. I've tried adding brushes to the presets folder for both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions but when I load Photoshop, only the original brushes are showing.
i put them in the brush folder, and inside the brush folder there is another folder called "adobe photoshop only" with some other brushes that came with it, i tried putting them in there too but still, they don't show up when i used the brush tool :(
I recently found out that in CS, the 3D Transform filter (Filter -> Render -> 3D Transform) does not install by default. But it IS included. Check the GOODIES folder on the the install disc (extras & resources), you'll find it there. Drag it to your Plug-ins folder.
I am using W 7 and PSP X3.My printer crashed and I have replaced it with a new one.It is an HP 8600.I have it connected to my laptop using a wireless connection which is the way my previous printer was connected.I have prepped 2 photos that the Mrs wants a 5 x 7 copy of each.I then click on File > Print Layout and get an error message saying There is no default printer installed.
The printer is known to the computer as I have printed from MS Word and I have scanned from the scanner to the computer. How do I get PSP to know the printer?
I am using Paint Shop Pro X6. I am an experienced Paint Shop user. Today, I must have done something strange, because now when I use the clone tool, instead of getting what normally occurs, the cloned area consists only of large dots--similar to what a half-tone photograph looks like under high magnification. The dots are the proper color.
Is there a way to reset Paint Shop Pro to default settings as the software existed when it was installed? That might solve my problem.
I've made a custom brush library and want to delete some of the brushes but there is no little garbage can icon in the lower right hand corner of the brushes pallete. How do I delete the unwanted brushes from the cusotm library? The little garbage can IS on the regular brushes pallette.
how do you get your default brushes back? I just got sets of new ones, which I was adding them at the time, and I accidently replaced my old ones. I tried uploading all the files that I could, but I never got those Circle brushes back. I may have missed one, I was able to get the Square brushes, but not the ones that PS(7 in this case) came with. Are these in the same brushes folder? Do I need to download them to get it back?
I created user defined AI brushes which I can't find to delete within MAC Lion. They are not in Library>Application Support>Adobe, because Adobe Illustrator folder does not exist there. They are not under Users either. Any clues as to were these custom brushes are buried?
I've recently installed CS4 on my new Vista machine. After setting up my Wacom tablet, installing all the appropriate software I find Photoshop is not responding to me pen sensitivity as it has on my previous machine (Mac with CS1). Specifically I'm thinking the default brushes are incorrect, specifically I use the hard brush that by default should go from small - large- small. Thinking I was missing a setting I compared both side by side and sure enough my settings for default brushes are the same on both machines but I'm not getting the dynamic brush that I had on my Mac. Below is a screen shot I found online of what i'd like to have in my setup. in yellow is where I'd like to get to but at the bottom of the image is where I'm at currently. Any help would be appreciated. I just know the solution is going to be so simple that I'll bang my head on the desk when I get it.
I'm using CS4 and am searching for a particular brush - Oil Medium Wet Flow. This brush is already loaded in my pallette but I cannot find out which Brush set it belongs to. Someone asked where the brush is located but am unable to answer, and have spent quite a bit of time looking for it. I have downloaded many brushes so I have a huge list, but I know that it is a default brush. I wondered if there is a list of the default brushes available as I've trawled the internet to find one and so far haven't been able to. What I'm looking for is something that gives me each default brush set and the sub-category of individual brushes within. For example, Assorted Brushes, then all the brushes within that group. It would be really nice to have a list of these I can refer to without having to select the brush set first. Also, is there any way of knowing where brushes are from that are loaded in your pallette?
find new brushes? Isn't it great when you actually get them installed? Isn't it also great when you are worried about how to get back to default brushes when you're done using the new ones? lol Yeah, I'm still new to the Photoshop thing, and still have a lot to figure out. So, can anyone tell me how to use the new brushes I've downloaded, and also how to get back to the default brushes?
Twice now, upon a restart of my computer, Photoshop has reset to factory settings, and deleted all my custom brushes I've made since a particular point in time. I've had to remake some brushes for my digital art course twice, and now I'll have to do it a third time. This is EXTREMELY DISTRESSING...
This started happening only recently. I can only guess perhaps an update to Windows or something has really jerked up my Photoshop, not sure.Â
Installed the latest 2.8.4 build for WIN 32 bit. This newly installed version only recognizes the .xcf file type; it will not save to, or load any of my numerous files saved as .xcf.gz
The message I get is:
The given filename does not have any known file extension. enter a known file extension or select a file format from the file format list.
The file format list only contains .xcf
I've uninstalled and reinstalled with a fresh download, with the same results.
Basically, there you can see a selection of default brushes, and how some of them appear like just small circles, rather than a smooth, hard round default brush like they should. The second one is the one highlighted in the window. Â When I use other brushes with my Wacom Bamboo they too look just a bit less effective than they used to. I don't want to reinstall
I'm creating a Construction Template in Revit 2014. When I create new levels these appear in Floor Plans and automatically generate a new Structural Floor Plan view with the new levels but the previous levels don't appear (those that come in Revit by default). Â I dont want to delete the level 0 which comes by default.
Im trying to delete unsued document profiles, but after deleting they are recreated every time i start Illustrator. How can i delete them permanently ?
is there any way to put Remove from disk as default action when hitting del and deleting a picture ("remove" from LR catalog is normally set as default). Lightroom 4 on Windows 7 OS.
I have a problem with autocad visual styles. In my visual styles manager I have the same styles:It causes confusion and when I'm going to delete one of them, delete is not available.
I love deleting my photos from both the catalog and my disk but the default "lit up" button on LR3 is only to delete from the catalog. Why to do that and then have an uncataloged picture sitting on their drive.  Is there any way to shift the "default" highlighted button to the delete from disk button so I can just press return when I go to delete my rejected pix?
I have gone through the correct procedure for downloading new brushes from Deviantart. On my computer they appear now in my Gimp/brushes folder with the Gimp icon, so I know the file format is correct. I have closed Gimp and restarted..even restarted the computer and cannot get them to show in Brushes with Gimp open on a new project.
I would like to clean up my gimp. I want to get rid of all the fonts and brushes that I have previously downloaded. Is there a way to do this without having to reinstall gimp? (I do not remember which fonts are the default and which ones are not.)
