Photoshop :: 3D Transform Not Installed By Default In CS
Jan 4, 2004
I recently found out that in CS, the 3D Transform filter (Filter -> Render -> 3D Transform) does not install by default. But it IS included. Check the GOODIES folder on the the install disc (extras & resources), you'll find it there. Drag it to your Plug-ins folder.
I've been using PS CS6 (Creative Cloud) on a Windows 7 workstation and have liked the feature that shows transform box when a layer or layers is selected. On my new Windows 8 workstation I'm getting PS CS6 x64 configured with my preferences. I'm not seeing the selection box unless I manually invoke "transform" (ctrl+t) on my selection. I haven't found a setting that enables the transform view by default.
The Transform Reference point indicator in the options bar is set by default to the center point. I need for it to be upper left, but am having to manually change it with each use. How can I change the default setting on this?
I'm using CS6 and can't figure out how to make the transform size lock be turned on by default. See below:Â
Every time I hit CTRL+T to transform something I have to go up there and click on the lock so it locks the dimensions as I transform. It's unlocked by default as seen in the photo above.
I am using W 7 and PSP X3.My printer crashed and I have replaced it with a new one.It is an HP 8600.I have it connected to my laptop using a wireless connection which is the way my previous printer was connected.I have prepped 2 photos that the Mrs wants a 5 x 7 copy of each.I then click on File > Print Layout and get an error message saying There is no default printer installed.
The printer is known to the computer as I have printed from MS Word and I have scanned from the scanner to the computer. How do I get PSP to know the printer?
I want to delete the default brushes in Gimp, like the famous green pepper and others that I find not useful to me. I know how to do this but is there's a reason why the pre-installed brushes cannot be deleted with the brush editor?
In Photoshop CS6, if using Free Transform to change the size of a newly-made selection, you have to click 'Maintain Aspect Ratio' option every time to maintain the aspect ratio. How annoying is that! Why isn't this 'Maintain Aspect Ratio' option selected by default? Certainly in my case, there are vastly more occasions when I want to maintain the aspect ratio, and so, in my case at least, it would be much more user-friendly to have 'Maintain Aspect Ratio' selected, by default. Or, alternatively, why isn't there an option in Preferences to either have 'Maintain Aspect Ratio' automatically selected, or unselected, by default, leaving the user to toggle from this starting position, if they want?
I am using Paint Shop Pro X6. I am an experienced Paint Shop user. Today, I must have done something strange, because now when I use the clone tool, instead of getting what normally occurs, the cloned area consists only of large dots--similar to what a half-tone photograph looks like under high magnification. The dots are the proper color.
Is there a way to reset Paint Shop Pro to default settings as the software existed when it was installed? That might solve my problem.
Ps CS6 OSX 10.6.8  Problem: Transform applied to Smart Object fails to transform an attached Smart Filters Mask.  I mean a Transform, including Free Transform, as found in the Edit menu. A simple move by the Move Tool is OK.  A workaround until this bug is squashed is to encapsulate the Smart Object + Smart Filters + Filter Mask inside another Smart Object and transform that. However, that will not be a satisfactory solution in some cases. If a filter has size parameter(s), e.g. Gaussian Blur radius, a scaling or warping/distorting transform applied after the filter will obviously differ from the filter applied after the transform.  In any case, the workaround is inconvenient to subsequent editing and experimenting with filters and masks.
I am using Photoshop CS5. I've tried adding brushes to the presets folder for both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions but when I load Photoshop, only the original brushes are showing.
I installed cs3 creative suite on my new mac. Photoshop opens but I get an error message.l that it can't connect to Adobe... so the program thinks it isn't registered...but it is.
I downloaded the installer for the trial of Photoshop CS6 Extended, however upon installing it and using the trial, I do not have access to the 3D menu or any other Extended features. When the program starts up, it only reads Adobe Photoshop CS6 and the About Photoshop popup in the Help menu reveals it to be CS6 instead of Extended. Have I taken a wrong turn somewhere? I had problems with the download manager too in that after signing into it with my account the download did not immediately start and instead I had to select Photoshop CS6 from the list within the manager.
I installed Photoshop CS6 (International/English language) 9 days ago (upgrade from CS4), I can use it, but when I try to open MiniBridge, I get an Error message which says that it can’t be launched because the MiniBridge extension is not installed. I have checked the install log, and the summary shows this:
- 0 fatal error(s), 6 error(s), 0 warning(s) Payload: {92D58719-BBC1-4CC3-A08B-56C9E884CC2C} Microsoft_VC80_CRT_x86 1.0.0.0 ---- ERROR: Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly component {98CB24AD-52FB-DB5F-A01F-C8B3B9A1E18E}. Could these problems be caused because I still have CS4, which has not been uninstalled? I am using Win7 (last update two days ago).
I am a relatively novice user, but not totally new. I have CS4, loaded from a disc, not downloaded. Mac, with 10.5.6 loaded, have greyed out filter gallery, and only a few filters available but more are there, but greyed out.
I have located a person who bought a CS3 upgrade, not realizing it was an upgrade. He has said the store would not take it back because he had tried to install it. He now wants to sell it so he can use the money to put towards the full version.
If he tried to install the upgrade, is it registered during that process, even if he had to stop at the point Adobe asked for proof of a previous version?
I just /L'd the CS4 Extended and installed. when I try to run it I get the screen that asks if I have a serial or want a trial. I have now tried the serial 8 times (each time getting the green check mark) and tried the trial option as well. As soon as I hit "ok" nothing happens. All of the other programs that came with it, like Bridge, all fire up no problem. Vista Ultimate Sooper Dooper or whatever the top one is, 32 bit4 G RamNVIDIA CardMega ton of disk space.
I have PS CS3 Extended installed and would like to know if I can install the trial of PS CS4 Extended at the same time? In running XP and would naturally use a different installation folder.
(like the EXACT error message or the exact steps to recreate this). I was just hoping that someone may have run into this and know a quick fix., they've run the DropletFixer.vbs, and it showed no errors.
This isn't an upgrade, as such, but a new install of CS3 where we used to have v5.5 (about time, I know!)... I've tried to set up droplets (the main reason for upgrading, as I do a lot of photo processing), following some tutorials both from Adobe and on the web. Dragging a photo onto the droplet just gets an error where the droplet "has encountered a problem and needs to close".
I recently installed CS4 upgrade on my laptop and would now like to uninstall the version of CS2 that I have been using. Will removing CS2 remove any shared files that are necessary for CS4 to work properly? The reason for removing CS2 is that I am quickly running out of available disk space on drive C. As a side question, is it possible to delete CS4 from my laptop and re-install it on my D drive (how wil that affect my activation?)
I just installed Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5 CC onto my computer. Lightroom had no problems getting set up and is ready to go. I had an old demo version of Photoshop CS6 on my computer and was told to delete it, which I did. Unfortunately, it also damaged Photoshop 6 CC and I had to unistall it also. Now CC is saying it is up to date and won't reinstall it. I really need to start working on something I promised I would have ready by Monday and can't do it because I don't have Photoshop again.
