I made this two different small project yesterday. Now, opening them and I see nothing in the content area and no time line at all, no assets or symbol shows. It is as a new satring file. I tried opening the html file as well but got the same result. I still can run the html file and see my project but can not open them in Animate and do any modification.
I am on a Mac and installed all the software a few days ago.

Ok I've read about 8 articles on this forum on Youtube videos and stopping sound using the
sym.$("blah").empty();
BUT, once I've emptied the container, I want to be able to access it again and play the symbol. I don't know how to load the container once it's been emptied. I tried
sym.$("blah").empty().append (youtube);
but doesnt work.
I just need the video to load again from the beginning, I dont need youtube API integration for remembering where it stopped, I just want to reload the symbol "blah" after its been emptied.

we are using adobe animate to make medical related flash type cards, we have completed our work BUT
problem is this when job is done edge animate created multiple files to including Scripts, images and HTML files, which becomes very difficult to upload on a server when we need to uplaod thousands of edge files on our site.
is their any way that all the files are compiled into one file? so it will become really easy to uplaod thousands of flash card. secondly, is their any way to encrypt all stuff?
I have this button that, when clicked, opens a new URL - window.open("http://www.xxxxxx.xxx", "_self"); - after playing a 1000 ms animation. The problem is that it changes to the new URL too soon, before completing the 1000 ms. I tried a setTimeout, and it worked great, but it's not so elegant as it depends on the user's computer/net speed...

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to work on a project I created a few months ago in Edge. However, when I try to open it in Edge Animate CC, it just displays a blank screen (See image).
The timeline, the canvas, the properties, nothing seems to be populated. If I drag the time line back to 0:00, an alert pops up saying "An error occured. Please save your work and restart Edge Animate." The exported HTML file still seems to work fine though. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Edge, but that hasn't seemed to work.
EDIT: This seems to be an intermittant problem. Sometimes, the file displays correctly, sometimes it doesn't. If I close the program and open it again, the issue re-occurs.
I am including an animation I built using Edge Animate into Dreamweaver. I can't use an .oam file because of some other JavaScript I'm using so basically I'm limited to an .html file with all my edge includes java, and other supporting files.

I have an existing HTML page (created in Adobe Muse) and I am trying to draw some Adobe Edge objects on top of the page (e.g. a rectangle or an image). When I look in the layers panel, the Edge objects show as top in the list. However, visually when I look at the page, the elements show behind the pre-existing HTML page from Muse.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe user has Autocad 2014 64 bit Service Pack 1 running over Windows 7 Pro. Everything is working fine until she receives .dwg files from a supplier that uses Autocad 2010. When she opens those files, the screen is empty, no crash/freeze, no error message, just a black background. The other opened files are still there in the background.
The only way she can open the file is by asking a colleague, also running Autocad 2010, to open the file and convert it using the WBLOCK command. After the conversion the Autocad 2014 user can open the file without issues.
How do you insert PHP code inside a window.open method when in an Adobe Edge animation?

The PHP code is not parsed. In order to have it work with Wordpress, I am using "Edge Suite" plugin, which requires you to import the animation as an OAM file, then I am firing it like this inside one of Wordpress' PHP file:

I have several book cover designs that I've been working on in CorelDraw saved as CDRs, but now when I go to open them, they open as CDRs in Corel Photo Paint, I don't understand why? I've tried the Open from File Menu and then Save As CDR , but it doesn't work either. Is it possible I clicked on something I shouldn't have? Also, I need to separate the background from one of the designs in bitmap, the image is as if its all grouped together and won't ungroup or let me edit it, I did not save in layers or masks (any other way I can still try and edit it?

My co-worker uses CS3 and can't open the template I made using CS5. I haven't found an option anywhere to be able to downsave the template file to an earlier version. allow my co-worker to open the template file without having any compatibility issues?

View 11 Replies View RelatedI have imported an OAM file into the first page of an app I am making in InDesign. The OAM looks correct on load but once the animation begins it gets really big and all I see is a tiny portion of the animation.
I have other text and graphics on that page I was wondering if that could be the cause.
I have cdx5 (fully patched) running on a windows 7 pro x64 machine (c++, directx, updates all current) that has an issue when saving a file to a mapped network drive. The file will save error free but when you try to open the file again at a later date it gives a c++ runtime error (this application has requested the runtime to terminate in an unexpected way).
If i save the file locally then move it to the network share it seems fine. It can be opened and edited with out issue.
CDx5 needs to save to the mapped drive as the server runs onsite and offsite backups. There is a large volume of files that are changed/created daily. Saving locally and then copied to the server manually is also not an option as the user cannot be relied upon to ensure the files are copied to the server.
Are there any good tutorials on reading/parsing text files and databases out there? I've been looking around, but I can't really find anything.

Just about finished with a project and now all of my code has disappeared from Edge, I can't see any of my triggers on the timeline or events on the buttons. I can still open the html in a browser and everything still works but I can't do any more edits inside of Edge because I can't see the code in there.
The edge actions file has all the code, but Edge does not see any of it inside Edge. I tried pasting the full code back into Edge but it would not save it. How can I get edge to see the code again?
Do I have to write a CSS rule for every symbol and element in a presentation or can I just specify a general rule for the whole thing?For example, how can I specify that all images should have a red border, or all links should change color on hover?
Shouldn't I be able to create a separate CSS file as in Dreamweaver and just attach it?
I have built an EDGE file to the size of a full page iPad layout (1024 X 768), with a few elements that animate. I have set it up correctly, and, published to "Animate Deployment Package. However, when it plays in DPS, there is a hesitation (or delay), then, a white - stop in the action - then the animation plays fine. I have not coded in delays or stops.
I am not a coder.I have done a number of tests with a variety of "Poster" images, but, I still get the play "Hesitation" (of delay).
I've mondified an existing edge animate animation and want to renew the oam file.
Tried the location where the former one is stored, as well as a new location on my desktop.
Either way, I get the next error message:
"Edge Animate encountered error(s) publishing: OAM publish failed.
Could not create output folder /Users/peterriemslagbaas/Creative Cloud Files/Kohenderiks.nl/illustraties/publish_animate package/.
Make sure parent location exitsts and is writable."
Of course, I did make sure the parent location exists and is writable...........
However, the error message keeps coming......

Even after I have removed all references to those files. What is the proper way to remove unwanted files completely from a Edge animate project? It was suggested that there is a right click, but this only shows you where the file is in the finder.

I have an SVG file with text inside, if I open the file in the browser I can select the text, but when I import the file to Edge Animate and then exported as html I lose the ability to select the text with the web browser.

still I try to reopen the issue about an error of "Edge Animate could not find the associated html file" for me, this error remains even after opening and saving corresponding html file. in fact I don't remember any successful launch of .an file for all my projects working at win 7, 64 bit
i'm doing a large project that requires me to import 40 to 50 image files into separate edge documents. (about 30 documents each with 40-50 sequenced images.) each time i import a batch of images, the order gets messed up. in finder they are labeled as filename01.jpg, filename02.jpg etc. when i import them into edge, it scrambeles the files for no apparent reason (see image below) and i have to delete them and re-add them from the images library to get them in order.
why don't they just import in order?
as you can see, i moved file _10000 to the top (it was somewhere in the middle) and the rest of the files are in no apparent order. this is extremely annoying as the files were named as such to keep them in order!! is this a bug, or just the way that edge thinks importing files works?
