I have an SVG file with text inside, if I open the file in the browser I can select the text, but when I import the file to Edge Animate and then exported as html I lose the ability to select the text with the web browser.
View 1 Repliesthe project I am working on is using a default.css and I would like to assign styles from the file to elements in edge - how can I do that?I already tried the "class" setting in the GUI next an element but the elements do not use the styles defined in the default.css.The default.css is linked in the html file properly. In the js file which edge creates I see that the value userClass: 'slideTitle' is assigned and slideTitle is defined in the default.css.

I have an existing HTML page (created in Adobe Muse) and I am trying to draw some Adobe Edge objects on top of the page (e.g. a rectangle or an image). When I look in the layers panel, the Edge objects show as top in the list. However, visually when I look at the page, the elements show behind the pre-existing HTML page from Muse.

The PHP code is not parsed. In order to have it work with Wordpress, I am using "Edge Suite" plugin, which requires you to import the animation as an OAM file, then I am firing it like this inside one of Wordpress' PHP file:

The stage size you see above is H: 400px, W: 550px.
I would like for the stage to be smaller, say H:50px./W:400px
Ok so if I change the size of the stage the animation text will not show, so I need to adjust the position of the text in order for the animation text to be visible, but in doing that, I am disrupting the timeline and the animation goes all funny, is there another way of doing this without disrputing the timeline?

I have imported an OAM file into the first page of an app I am making in InDesign. The OAM looks correct on load but once the animation begins it gets really big and all I see is a tiny portion of the animation.
I have other text and graphics on that page I was wondering if that could be the cause.

I'm using Animate to create a lesson/course and I would like to be able to click on a word in the text and have a new text box open with a definition/explanation of the word clicked. Is there a way to do that in Animate? I haven't been able to figure it out.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am working on my first Animate project. The project has several screens with short paragraphs of text on each screen. Within several of the paragraphs, I need to set up multiple links rather than linking the entire text box to one URL.
If it can't be done, I can set up transparent boxes with the links to sit on top of the text - not the best way to do this but it seems to work. In that case, is there an easy way to "stop" the link just before the user moves to a different place in the timeline?
I just need to create a simple animation to be dropped into a MUSE creation and I think Edge Animate is the right way to do it. For the life of me I cannot figure out how.
Basically, I want to create a simple animation to explain the dimensions of a product. A line with arrows on both ends would grow to the length of a line drawing symbolizing its height for example.
Accompanying that would be a text box that I would like to simply count up from 0.0" to 3.5" for instance. how do I dynamically update the text from 0.0 to 3.5 across a 2 second animation in Edge Animate?
I can create symbols on the stage using "sym.createChildSymbol" command. But how can I cretare textFields with script?

In Straight HTML (CSS) I can create a inline block div, place text in it and the text stays in the div, returns when it needs to at the end of the DIV, and expands the bottom/height of the div to fit text.
I can't figure out how a to get that same effect in animate. Can you do this with settings or do I need to code the Css into the div?
Is it possible for text or an object to overlay another object that is interactive but not inturupt the interactivity of the object below? As if the the text interactivity was trasparent.

Working with Edge version 1.5.0 and Visual Studio 10. Just about finished with a project and now all of my code has disappeared from Edge, I can't see any of my triggers on the timeline or events on the buttons. I can still open the html in a browser and everything still works but I can't do any more edits inside of Edge because I can't see the code in there.
The edge actions file has all the code, but Edge does not see any of it inside Edge. I tried pasting the full code back into Edge but it would not save it. How can I get edge to see the code again?
Do I have to write a CSS rule for every symbol and element in a presentation or can I just specify a general rule for the whole thing?For example, how can I specify that all images should have a red border, or all links should change color on hover?
Shouldn't I be able to create a separate CSS file as in Dreamweaver and just attach it?
I have built an EDGE file to the size of a full page iPad layout (1024 X 768), with a few elements that animate. I have set it up correctly, and, published to "Animate Deployment Package. However, when it plays in DPS, there is a hesitation (or delay), then, a white - stop in the action - then the animation plays fine. I have not coded in delays or stops.
I am not a coder.I have done a number of tests with a variety of "Poster" images, but, I still get the play "Hesitation" (of delay).
I've mondified an existing edge animate animation and want to renew the oam file.
Tried the location where the former one is stored, as well as a new location on my desktop.
Either way, I get the next error message:
"Edge Animate encountered error(s) publishing: OAM publish failed.
Could not create output folder /Users/peterriemslagbaas/Creative Cloud Files/Kohenderiks.nl/illustraties/publish_animate package/.
Make sure parent location exitsts and is writable."
Of course, I did make sure the parent location exists and is writable...........
However, the error message keeps coming......

the fontFace APPEARS to go to some other sans font and seems bold from that point forward. Do I need to reset all the css properties of the fontface every time I change html text in a textbox.
I'm new to the Edge Animate and I have been working on a project that requires text input. The code does not 'recognise' the value entered into the input field. The action is quite straight forward, Correct Answer (360) play label 02, Wrong Answer play label 03. Ideally I would like allow three attempts.
