View 2 Replieswhen i'm going to print may files with 36 layers, corel x5 will close and nothing happen in printing.
note: the file is edited in corel x3 but the printing will done in x5.
I have AutoCAD 2009. When I print a PDF, all the different layers come out looking the same. In other words, in my drawing I have layers that are say green and other layers that are cyan. Supposedly, the green layer is darker and thicker than the cyan layer. But when I print the PDF, all the layers come out with the same thickness and darkness.
But if I plot the DWG file, the lines show up the way they should be. The problem only happens when plotting PDF's.
From the 10+ layers there are only 3 layers that are printing. How can i print them all? + they are all enabled.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI didn't create the drawing and I'm trying to troubleshoot for a co-worker, so I'm not sure of the specifics of the system that did, but here's what's going on:
The drawing appears to be fine, with the lines, hatching and text appearing in the designated colors. When I hit print, the drawing seems okay, but when rendering to print, the text, some hatching, and any text boxes become gray and print out that way. Once printed, the layers do not revert back to the color they were, even though the layer has retained the color. If you open up the text editor, the text selected will return to the color (magenta, in this case), but once you finish editing the text, it turns back to gray.
It's creating problems for printing out, and sadly too much work has been done at this point to start over. Every person who opens this drawing experiences the same thing, so it must be an issue with the particular file. This issue happens when using AutoCAD Map 3D 2008, 2010, and 2012. I thought it might be because it was used by different releases, but they're all saving back to 2004. I thought it might be that the text was created in a higher version and then edited in a lower version, but it's been worked on exclusively by the same person for two months and every time she has this issue.
When a drawing is printed using PLOT the drawing is printed fine. If I batch plot (or publish) it prints all the frozen layers of the xref and also prints the layers as assigned by the XREF drawing and not the new colours I have specified for this drawing.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if I need to "trap" all 3 layers of color in this design which will be screen-printed as a 16x20 sized poster. In some parts of the design, I purposely made the colors a bit offset. But the printer says I must use trapping. I watched a bunch of video tutorials, but none of them seem applicable to this particular kind of artwork, in which I WANT some of the background/paper to show through. But not everywhere. I work in Illustrator CS6.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSince yesterday all of a sudden my OKI color printer shows white areas in a sandy color, when I use CMYK as color modes. Other colors are shown in false colors, too. This effect is also shown in print preview, what means for me, it´s not a printer issue.
Refilling areas with colors in RGB works, but I don´t want to live with this workaround. Nearly all my Corel graphics are made using CMYK.
I use Corel to print name tags and sublimate products. I upgraded to X6 from X4 and now none of my colors print as previously set up. I am using the exact same printers, materials etc. The only thing that changed is the version of Corel. I tried the various color profiles and palettes available with no luck. How can I get my colors to print like they did from X4??

View 13 Replies View RelatedWhen I print from Corel Draw X3 some of the objects do not print. They are in the art and show up fine on the print preview but then when I print, those objects are missing. It's almost always with customer art that I've imported. I can't recall it ever happening with art that was designed in X3.
It's the strangest thing. If I change the color of the object that won't print it will then show up in the print preview for the corresponding color. But it still won't print. I usually end up having to recreate that object and then it prints fine. I don't understand why it wouldn't print if I'm able to view the object and change it's color.
I'm using Accu-Rip software, an Epson 1400 printer, and Windows XP. We print separations for screen printing.

My CorelDraw X5 is working perfectly. I have received some artwork from the client for business cards and the second page is just not printing. Artwork attached.
When you do a print preview it clearly shows that the artwork will print. I've tried to print it to Adobe PDF but no luck. I then tried to use Enfocus Pitstop and interesting enough it reports on the errors that the second page is blank.
I can print it if I convert the artwork to a bitmap but what is the point of having your text in curves if you need to make it a bitmap? I hope it's as easy as changing a setting/properties of the vector to enable it to print.
I have some art work that is 18" tall by 36" wide. How to create this print size as the program does not identify that as a print size. Once the program identifies it I will just select PDF as my printer and print it as a PDF file. Question is, how do I do that?

View 5 Replies View RelatedJust recently we upgraded to CDR X5 from X3. Now when I print from Corel to my black and white printer, it looks more like i printed from an old dot matrix print (looks as if its made up of little dots instead of a solid object.) I use corel to print out silkscreens and the objects and text need to me a dark an "filled in" as posible. I never had to change any plot settings with X3, what changed? What do i need to change to correct this? I know the printer is fine, because when I print to it from any other program the black objects & text looks the way it used to.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've learned from the forums that it's best to separate drop shadows from their objects for printing, and even better to then convert them to bitmaps. Since this is a very old solution, I was wondering if X5 has a way to do this to all drop shadows on a page (or all in a document) instead of having to do it manually one by one.
How do Corelians get around losing the editability of the shadows with this workaround?
In previous versions of CorelDraw, a vector graphic could be saved as a WordPerfect Graphic with a .wpg extension.
When you pulled this graphic into MS Word, it printed as a vector graphic and was perfect. This was great for such things as signatures, and looked realistic.
BUT with subsequent versions of MSWord, the .wpg graphic is no longer recognized, so one is left having to export a .cdr vector graphic as an .emf file which is NOT vector graphics and looks pixellated.
Interestingly, I can copy a .wpg image from a file made with Office 2007, into Office 2010 and it takes it!
Any alternative format that one can use to get Word to recognize as a vector graphic?
I have a problem. I am trying to print an image that is 108" x 94" on 36" self adhesive vinyl. This should be easy right? After all it's just three 36" panels 94" long. ... tell that to x 5! I click the print icon, go into layout and from that point onward I am more spectator than print manager.
Everything I do to try to get the image tiled with 3 x tiles and 0 y tiles is futile. The scale of the image keeps changing, why isn't the scale 100%? I preview the print and the number of tiles keeps changing almost with every effort to print three tiles, at times it looks as if x5 wants to print the image in 8 1/2 x 11 tiles!
Do I need a Phd in computer programming to be able to perform this task which seems to on par with creating the universe in 6 days?
I was making a bussines card, colors in corel looks perfect, exported to pdf file colors stays the same, but when i try to print all colors are off. Deep purple turns pink and black fading objects tuns into lines. Furthermore, when I use 'collect for output' pdf preset 'prepress' colors are off to and when I try to use 'current proof settings' corel just shuts down.
colors in corel
colors in pdf after 'colect for output'
and when I print it, colors are way more off, you can't even see the red, because all purple turns pink.
A single black filled square prints perfectly. When I place a color filled box beside it in the document and print, the black prints greyish.
As a workaround I am publishing to pdf and then printing is fine. Other programs (paint) prints correctly.
I have a fiery controller on a Canon Imagerunner Advance.
All my print jobs were working perfectly sunday night. Monday morning they were not. I re-installed Corel - no effect.
When printing separations, you're having issues printing more than three plates. I've got the OPPOSITE issue: When I'm trying to print only one or two colors of a graphic, it prints all of them.Example:I have black, PMS-A, and PMS-B in my graphic, but I only want to print PMS-A and PMS-B.I deselect black in the separations window, and that should be it, right?Hit print, and all of them print...black included.
I've tested it on multiple printers, and get the same results. This only started happening after my X6 upgrade.
P.S. I should add that when I take the same steps, and then print to file, it still saves all of the plates, not just those selected.
I have install a HP Laserjet 1020 & 1015 printers that connects to USB under windows vista ultimate. (Sp1). In our printed output we need graphics to be printed in 300 dpi. but only two options (600 dpi &1200 dpi.) are available. I had solved this issue earlier in windows xp by using a different driver can't remember which (HP 4, 4L, 6 or 6L). Tried using all these in VISTA with no results.
(Here is what I am trying to do. When we fill a object with a shade of Grey say 20% grey. It prints in light black under 600 dpi and higher. But my requirement is that it should print in visible mesh of dots which can only be attained by printed under 300 dpi.) How I can graphic output of 300 dpi or any different drivers (vista) for these printers which can print in 300 x 300 dpi.
I have files which I wish to print with particular settings - Layout > Imposition Layout = Book ; Preference > Features = Landscape. I 'Save As' these settings as Print Style 'BOOK'. When I open a new file and select 'BOOK' from the drop down menu, nothing changes. The print style remains the same as default.

I have a design on one layer, and a boundary line around the design on another layer. visually on the screen they both line up . However, when I print the images, they do not line up - they are significantly out of line with each other. It is as if they have been printed to different paper settings., for example the registration marks are not line up.
