Since installing version 16.3.0.1114, I have a new problem. Every time I edit a body of text (Ctrl-T), a new blank line is added at the top of the text.
I hope Corel has been informed of this most annoying problem and will fix it very soon.

I'm trying to create a banner with a line a little down from the top, the line must look engraved/sunken. I'm not sure what to call the effect. Here's an image with text that looks engraved:

expanding it, I can see the bottom line of text but when I let go of the corner it reverts back to showing everything but the bottom line.
i'm new to this, is there a way to split a paragraph text per line but will still be an editable text?
I have to select each line, cut. then paste each for me to do it, is there an easier way to do this?
Ive got Coral draw 12. What I want to do is to change normal text to a line so that my laser cutter can pick up the fact that its a line to cut and not an engrave. Or is that not possible? if so what program would i need?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased Graphics Suite X5 and find I'm having difficulty in getting an accurate sizing to my text height. When I set the text height to be 3" and then start typing, the letter height comes back to me around 2 1/8". I did find another place to set the height but that is only after I finish my lettering. How to resolve this so I don't re-invent the wheel each time I set the lettering to my designs?
I am also having some difficulty with line spacing. I need line space in inches and the software seems to be set on a pt setting with no way to change it to inches.

When i use margue select i get the blue dotted line but it disapears when i let go of the mouse and nothing is selected, this happens no mater what i'm trying to select. Do i not understanding how it works?
Second dumb question.
I have hit or miss luck with the weld feature some times it works and other times it simply will not work. I'm trying to make a small metal sign and need solid numbers (not Stencil) I draw a rectangle and add text above it and move it down to the top of the rectangle and select both and hit weld, some times it works and some times it doesn't. I have also tried to weld text to a 2 point line and cant do that at all, I suspect the 2 poing line is considered a demensional line so that may be my problem there. I have spent the greater part of a day trying to figue out thes two problems I have watched Graphics unleshed and read all i can find and still haven't figured out if it is me or the program. I have the problem with any of the fonts that come with X5.
when I switch tab once at the end of the line sits the line break outside of the paragraph text frame..The background color so then runs out of the frame.A wish at left line intent (or right) it should be possible to fill these also with the background color and a function that assigns every second line is a background color..
View 2 Replies View Relatedadding a page baseline grid! I love it, but I have one problem with it. For example I set the baseline grid to 13 pt, i have text with line spacing specified to 13 pt. I right-click the paragraph text box and select "Align to baseline grid". Then the text surely is aligned to the grid, BUT the lines are spaced to every other line, instead of every line.

I have checked the remove blank lines option in the data merge drop down menu but it doesn't seem to work. I also did the find/change option once the file was created and it also didn't work. I am not sure what possibly could be going on. I am using INdesign CS6 on a mac. Here is a screen shot of the file before the merge, the setting menu, the file after merge and the csv file.

I'm trying to create a line graph in Illustrator CS5, with a data set that contains some numbers, but then has gaps before a final number at the end. The graph needs to show a general trend between the gaps.
Is there a way of forcing Illustrator to draw a line between those figures, as it's just leaving a gap in the graph at the moment.

Before long I was up to 100 pages, looking fantastic. But then the thought come to me, I have set may page colour to BLACK and all my drawing and text are WHITE as I said looks fantastic until you go to print a page. How much black Ink would you use printing 100 pages black.
SO MY QUESTION IS CAN COREL REVERSE THE LINE ART TO BLACK AND THE PAGE TO WHITE SO I CAN HAVE A PRINTABLE VERSION ?

through some difficulty I'm having in getting the leading (ie, line spacing) I want with artistic text, in CorelDraw 12? I have three lines of text, the first line of which has a font size of 20 pt, and the second and third lines having a font size of 13 pt. The default leading is greater between the first and second lines than between the second and third -- probably due to the font size difference. I would like to make the leading equal for all lines, regardless of font size, but can't figure out how to do that. "Format Text - Spacing - Lines" seems to offer leading only in relation to character height -- which automatically makes the leading between the first and second line larger (due to the larger font size used in the first line) than it is between the subsequent lines.

I am working in CorelDraw X3 and when I publish to PDF they are coming out blank? I have made many before and they are fine, I know to position it in the page, but still nothing? I am using Windows 7? By doing it through the 'prepare to bureau service' they work fine except the file size is massive?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been working on a 32 page project for a week now and while working I noticed that the miniature preview was lost and replaced with a "pen" icon. It's usually a sign of something bad and after closing the file I tried to open it again.
Even though windows says the file is 173 MB, the file is blank. Nothing appears in the object manager either. What do I do to reveal the content? I have deadline tomorrow? The backup is corrupt too for some reason. A backup that gets corrupt - whats the use of it?

It crashes without warning, it just closed... that's all.It happens whenever I try to:- Save (either clicking on the save button or using CTRL+S)- Group (with CTRL+G or by clicking on the Group button after right click), I've tried to remove the "Pattern" and I can group finally, but still closed when I try to save.I try to remove any fillings but still closes when saving (but it didn't got saved at all)I've browsed through the forums and tried everything... nothing works. Even un-install and re-install didn't work.
It even closes when I try to save a blank page (with only an object like rectangle or something on it)
We have imported a .dwg file from our engineer into CorelDraw 5 under Windows Vista (64-bit). The file appears to import all elements since the layers and objects all appear in the 'Object Manager' docker. We can also select ALL objects and a rectangular marquee or extent shows up on the screen, which is presumably the bounding box for the imported drawing. Unfortunately, there is nothing displayed there (no topo, no streets, no buildings, not anything). We even tried selecting all objects and changing the color to black, but there are so many elements it appears the system will never stop processing or is locked up.
Why our imported .DWG file appears to be there, but displays nothing?
There was a small dot on our screen near the side of the page, just a small spec on the monitor. When we selected the dot and resized it to a full page, there was our complete drawing. However, we do not know why the drawing was imported as just a spec, nor why we had a larger edit marquee that appeared as wide as the page, yet appeared blank.
Just upgraded my X5 to X6. So far so good, except pop up menus are blank. See image below. Am I missing a setting somewhere, or is this a Windows XP Pro problem? I have my screen resolution set to the Corel recommended 1024x768.
