I went through APIs and got some useful suite like AITransformArtSuite. But I am unable to use it's method TransformArt. since I don't know how to create appropriate AIRealMatrix.
I have a question regarding the best way to reduce the size of a drawing from possibly 8” x 10” to 1”x1”. I am going to hire an artist to draw a characture of one of my clients
and use that as buttons for the website. I am thinking my options are to scan artist’s drawing into PS and reduce image, but I will definitely lose quality. Or I can retrace the drawing in Illustrator and develop a vector drawing, which I can resize . . . but how do I trace color?
when i bind the xref's the file size is increasing up to 50mb. the size of the file before binding is 4.5mb. i tried all the options whic ppl given in the discussion here. purged(all regeapps, zero txts etc.),wblock even some lisps. but all in vain. even i tried to audit but it took 2hrs and nothing happened. this dwg containing only lines poly lines, blocks, txts etc. no images and not even dence hatches also. 1500 drawings like this. i have to submit the softcopy soon.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've heard that you can reduce file size using polyline instead of line while drawing (or vice versa... don't remember) is it true and what exactly should be used. I think, why we would need the line tool at all if polyline more convenient.

View 7 Replies View Relatedi wanted to reduce size of cdr file. I wanted to know whether we can change resolution ,colour ... its it possible to compress images with and without use of any software.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI use this feature often, but I'm not sure I fully understand it, because I don't know what the number setting (1-100) refers to, and I can't find an explanation of it.
Usually I'll select all the nodes in an object and move the slider to the right until I can get as many nodes to disappear as it will let me. (I don't worry so much about distorting the object because I like to do the final shaping manually using as few nodes as possible...) and I find that at a certain point on the scale it won't reduce further, so at that point I remove the remaining unwanted nodes by hand.
My question is, does the 1-100 scale refer to the percentage of nodes that are removed, and what's the reason it won't go beyond a certain percentage?
Sometimes when I power trace a bitmap there are so many nodes that i spend too much time getting rid of them all...It would be nice if I could get the "reduce nodes" feature to remove more.
may i knw hw to reduce an thickness of a particular text to a line.. i have attached an screenshot on hw it is.. and wt output i need. Â #mce_temp_url#Â
View 14 Replies View RelatedUsually the reduce node tool will reduce the nodes easily, but I have had a few issues where an imported shape or vector - usually a dxf file or plt file has thousands of nodes but the reduce node tool does not work.
When I select a node on these files it only reduces the node I select? is there a way of smoothing these without redrawing ?
When I create a drawing with Mtext and my co-worker opens the drawing the width of the box defaults to 0 and the grips to enlarge the box are all snapped to the insertion point. How do we get the text boxes to stay the same??
View 8 Replies View RelatedMost imported designs are 100%. I'd like a code that at a push of a button reduced to 10% or any other setting i can change it to. Reason being, we all use different scale modes and sometimes artwork is huge. I need to shrink it down. Â
Is this possible w/o manually typing in the values?
how is possible to reduce the printing usage? a friend of mine told me that I have to reduce the percentage of each colour in the image, but first of all I don't know how to do that, and second I don't know if it will modify the image.

i used those code can get all text font on the drawing...but i only want to get text font which were used.and i dont know how to get the text height and widths on the drawing.
How do I globally change the defined width of a group of mtext entities in a drawing? If I select a few mtext entities that I want to make the same width then go to Properties, the Defined Width box says "varies" and is not editable. Seems like long ago I used to be able to do this, but not now. I'm running 2011 autocad.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having a problem with enlarging and/or reducing sizes of objects. When I set the height or width to something, the object usually becomes much smaller. If I wanted to blow up something (anything) from 8" to 20", it would become about 3". I would have to put in the 20" again and then it might grow to the correct size.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I create new mtext in my drawings I normally like to have a zero width.
Instead I'm creating new mtext and it has a set width that I am unable to change in the properties window.
I have no problems with changing the justification point.
Is this a setting that I can change?
Plus is it posible to change the default so that I don't have to worry about changing it every time?
I have 2 issues to deal with. I have a poster I've created in 11x17 but I want to make sure that I get a full bleed when I send it over to the print shop, how would I do this?
issue#2: I will need to reduce the size of the 11x17 to a 5.6in width 7in height. How do I do this? The reason for the size reduction is because I need it for newspaper printing so I need to make sure to keep my 11x17.
I'm working with a production house to generate transparent PNG files of pieces of content. These output images must meet a fixed height and width (in pixels). We're providing a MS Word file with a template that has both text and a MathType equation. The vendor uses this as a starting point, and will export the same equation as a transparent PNG file.
The vendor is using CorelDraw to: transfer text and MathType equations out of a Microsoft Word document into a template in a CDR file select and export the resulting component(s) as a transparent PNG file
FONT MISMATCH: We have a reference PNG file that we've generated as pixel map directly from an XML version of a piece of sample content. We've found that the vendor's sample PNG file is much larger in filesize than the reference PNG file, though it has the same dimensions.
I'm wondering if it is related to a settings issue in CorelDraw due to a weird font size mismatch. Viewing our reference PNG on-screen on my MacBook Pro (OS X Lion), the font matches 26pt in my text editor at 100% view, which is the same font size we use in our source Word document. The vendor (using a PC overseas) has to shrink the font size after transfer into CorelDraw to 6.2pt font, which visually matches our reference on my screen.
TECHNICAL DETAILS: I've used the "identify -verbose" command in ImageMagick to isolate a few other key differences between our source PNG file and the vendor's sample PNG file. In addition a significantly larger number of rows of Histogram information (source=65 rows; vendor=256 rows), there are a handful of other discrepancies (in bold):
Source PixelMap PNG
Resolution: 72x72
Print size: 6.94444x3.31944
Units: Undefined
Channel statistics:
  Gray:
    min: 0 (0)
[code]...
I've attached a text file with the ImageMagick details for each PNG file. changes to the CorelDraw settings or process to better align the output file with the source. I'm also open to exporting the selected component(s) in a different format (e.g., EPS or TIF) and then converting to PNG with another utility.
I have a problem in polyline width. when i set polyline width in one drawing shows solid line & in another drawing shows blank lines.
View 9 Replies View RelatedCurrently I'm converting one of our machines from AutoCAD to Inventor 2009.
This machine can vary from 1200mm to 1600mm and has a couple of options to choose from for our customers.
These dimension changes are all driven by a single excel file and the options are controlled in the an IAssembly.
Some of the 2D drawings will have a variable width, in our ERP system they are marked width dependable as followed: "partnumber/1200" or "partnumber/1410" in which 1200 or 1410 is the machine width.
Is it possible to have the 2D drawings automatically update the partnumber? so if I configure my machine as a 1200mm machine it automatically changes my drawingnumber to the actual machine width?
I want to change the color, line type, width and layer of all my blocks in my drawing. is there a way to do this with out opening all the blocks for editing? I am using AutoCAD 2009.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with my table in Corel Draw X6.Â
So, my table has a few rows and a few columns. I want the width of the first cell of the last row to be wider by 1 cm than the width of the first cells of the other rows.Â
When i select a cell and resize it with my cursor, the whole column changes width. I want the column to stay as it is, just its last cell to change width. How to do this?
I'm trying to export an image of a certain width and height but when I click on export, the size doesn't remain the same. I try to change it back to the normal size but it's impossible as one number gets altered if I change the other.
I have tried with the "maintain aspect ratio" option checked and also unchecked. This has never happened before, I've always been able to export with the exact size I want, although very often I find the width and height change when I click on export but I have been able to change it back until now.
I set up a text box, for say the word "Tractor". Â Let's say that with the font I select, the width of the text box is 2 inches. Â I want to be able to replace the text, with say the phrase "Green Tractor" and I want the text to automatically compress in width to be no longer than the original 2 inches and I want the text height to be the same as the first.
I know I can select the text box handle and re-size manually but I am entering many fields for each print job and I need it to do this automatically. Â Also if I entered the word "toy", I would not want the word to stretch to fill the 2 inches but retain standard proportions.
My Engrave Lab program does this on our engraver and I am basically trying to do the same function in Corel for our sublimation printing operation.
I know it is easy to tile objects using the Transformation - positioning and then click on the "relative position" and choose the direction.
But if I want to only shift it half the width to create something that may looks like bricks tiles.
One way to do it is to look up the width and height of the object, bringing up the calculator and divide it with 2 and then enter the result into the positioning manually.
