Mar 28, 2008Is it possible to create an animated gif file in draw x3?

View 14 RepliesPrimarily I am using Corel for basic typesetting and simple graphics for sign making. My problem is that when I save the drawing something simple saves as a massive file. Many of my clients don't have space in their in-boxes for large files and large files are also slow to trasmit over the internt. I find that I have to import the jpg or pdf file into Illustrator and re-save the file whereas it becomes a normal size. A file this morning ( a rectangle with some text inside) was 7.4mb when I saved it as a pdf. Opening in Illustrator and re-saving using the same file name the file size became a managable 110kb????

I am trying to generate some graphics for my I-phone App. Most of the images can be SVG files which works out great but some of what I need has to be PNG format. So, I need a graphic that is about 50px square and has to be a PNG file.
I have attached a CDR that is a resolution of 10000dpi but when I export to PNG and make it 50px wide it looks like ca-ca :). The problem is in my App i will need to zoom in on the 50px wide image. How can I create small PNG files that I can zoom in on and still look crisp?
I am trying to put together a document with about 20 illustrated pages which are created by others in pdf format, They are all A6 size.I wanted to know if Coreldraw x5 can do this (as I have a copy of this) and how - I may need to make some changes to these pdfs, but would be minor editing only (hopefully).
I know this is possible in Indesign - but wanted to do it in Coreldraw as this is the package i have.
We are having an issue with Corel filling up the hard drives on machines because of the number of temp files being created in c:users<userid>appdatalocal emp - Is there a way to prevent Corel from creating so many temp files or to get Corel to clean up the files when it closes? There are over 12 GB of temp files being created per day for some users.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have created identical images in both Photoshop & .gif versions and can't get any of them to work.
The images are saved in an 8 bit format. There are 8 layers. the largest version is 761px 760px.
When I get the dialog box for "save for web," no matter which version of the images I try, the animation choices are greyed out. I do not see a check box for "animate" like there is in my Elements 10 dialog box on another system. What do need to do to be able to save as an animation?
I've been subscribed to Hallmark's website for a long time. I paid them the fee to select and send any of their 'Premium' cards for the 1-year rate. However, I'm extremely disappointed in Hallmark's website, their Ecard offerings, etc. Their list of choices is very small, and many of the cards do not even fit the categories they are placed into. Hallmark has fallen way short of the reputation for quality that it used to have years ago. I'm referring to its website's online greeting cards.'
So, I want to know how I can use Video Studio X5 to create my own personalized animated "Ecards" (including sound) that I can send as Ecards. I have found no animated GIFS in the downloadable stuff from Corel, although I can create my own, if necessary. Neither have I found any quality 3rd-party programs for creating online Ecards; most are junk (according to reviews I've read).
I would be working mostly from very short avi files, jpg images, and adding my own text and sounds. An objective is to keep each filesize smaller than 25MB's so that each Ecard can be E-mailed.
So I want to to create an animated header like the one on the link below. I would prefer to use Paint.Net but I also have Photoshop if necessary. So my question is what would be the best route for creating this effect without the use of flash? (I expect that there is going to have to be code thats going to go into my website for this to happen whether that be html or javascript)

I don't even have any single experience in editing images but I can do simple image manipulation like cropping. So what should I do to learn Gimp quickly?
And I am in an urge to create an animated .gif image like the one in the attachment. I have to post to my blog to illustrate a process. So how to create an image like that?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am new to PS6 and creating animated GIF's. I am trying to put the following animation together and very confused when I try to get the section and also how to add new things to it. I am running the trial version of PS CS6 on a WIndows 7 environment. I want prior to purchasing the product. The following is what I want to do:
1. With the logo, have it be as if there is a spotlight moving back and forth at medium speed, shining on the logo. Wherever the light hits, have that section sparkle.
2. Have the "CLICK HERE," words alternate starkly (not blending) between white and pumpkin orange. Again, medium speed. That will be garish, but is okay because it's not part of the designed section.
I am having trouble trying to select just the "CLICK HERE" portion of the logo to have the words alternating color. how to get a spotlight function to this logo. Then how to have it sparkle when the spotlight hits the other section of the logo and not have the spotlight going over to the "Click Here" part of the logo.
I used to be able to create animated gif's easily from unsaved files. I would simply select all the layers I wanted to use and process them.
After upgrading to CS6, I'm totally lost. I've followed half a dozen tutorials, but nothing works. The only way I can even load a frame into the Windows Timeline feature is to first save several images from my unsaved file, then reload them by choosing File > Scripts > Load Files into Stacks. But even then I can't find a Make Frames from Layers option when I click the down arrow on the right side of the palette.
Is there a simple way to create animated gif's from layers in an unsaved file on CS6, or do I need to reinstall my older Photoshop version in order to created animations?
I am trying to animate a small thing. A smiley face which bounces up and down. I have set it all up etc. but when I preview nothing happens. On the right hand side, in the movie docker, it shows the correct frames, (all 6 of them).
In the main window, when I click through the 6 frames, they are all frame 1. And when I press play, nothing happens (it says processing in the bottom corner, and keeps filling up the bar and starting again (assuming it is playing, but playing the same frame repeatedly?)
Not sure what to do with it? When I saved it, and opened the file, it kind of worked, all though frame one stayed there throughout the animation, the others did appear and do their thing, just behind frame one.
I use AE CS5
The Issue as the title suggests is light source flickering off the asteroids... the asteroids were created using VCP plug in "Element 3D"
I havent had much experience using element as this is the first time I have tried it.. The light source is just standard AE light set to spot. It doesnt seem to make any difference changing it to "point" light or anything else.
I tried a few renders with different settings.. quicktime with sorenson 3 codec and animation codec didnt seem to do anything but I dont know alot about codecs to be honest
I've also posted a 4 sec vid for you to see my issue.. the flickering only seems to exist directly on the edge of some of the asteroids.
UPDATE --- Now that I have uploaded it to youtube for this forum post alot of the flickering seems to have dissapeared.. theres still a little I hope you can see it.. The anomoly is still very strong tho before uploaded....strange !
Animated GIF files, are they generally created within imageready? Or is there a better application for this? Essentially, I'd like to have something that can convert a .mov or .mpg to to an animated GIF file and I wasn't sure if imageready was capable of doing this.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have Elements 10. Whenever I try to edit, brighten, enhance in any way animated GIF files with Photoshop, after I save the files again on my computer, the files no longer are animated, I.E they don't move no more.
I save the files as GIFs. The files were originally saved to my computer right, they moved like they should. How can I edit animated GIF files and still have them be animated?
I have a not-moving .jpeg image and I want to put 5 different animated .gif images on top of that .jpeg image background but I don't want those 5 .gif images to stop moving.
how to make .gif images like these using GIMP 2.8.6
Trying to create my first animated gif. I have 8 .ico files that i converted to .png to open them. once all are open i try to combine into one file with 8 layers but am unable to do it!?!? If I click on the main layer in any file it shows as locked and says "Indicates layer is partially locked".
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have just recently installed AutoCAD LT 2014 on Windows 7 (Running on an intel iMac through Bootcamp). Ever since then i am receiving notifications when performing a save.
AutoCAD is telling me it cannot perform the save and is creating a .tmp file in the same location on the server as the file should be.
this is causing major performance issues and happens almost every second time I attempt to perform a save. The issue is that we are getting multiple versions of the same file duplicating on the file server which is very quickly going to cause capacity issues considering most files are 2-4mb in size.
Resetting the User Setting with the the F8 key didn't solve the problem. Once the user gets caught up on a couple projects I'll try to update the version to SP3 and the hotfix.
View 14 Replies View RelatedWhy is a basic feature like creating QR-Codes (can be done by thousands of websites for free) not a standard-feature in Corel X6, a software having the ambition to be the most professional solution for graphic editing? I mean most advertises today contain a QR-Code.
I don't even speak of dynamic codes etc. but just importing a standard static "URL" QR-Code. Can I expect this to be a standard feature in upcoming versions of CorelDraw?
I just installed a fresh CS5, we are using some scripting that's installed on 5 other CS5 machines and this never happened before - when files are being saved (using 'save as', overwriting the original) this particular setup is saving xml files too!? See below
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to make a round monogram such as this:
Round Monogram.htm
I have seen an old post about using the line tool and making it by hand but i am having a hard time doing that. the monogram will be cut out in vinyl (car decals) so i need to be able to make all the letters. I have tried the envelope tool but that just wraps the letters around the circle like a sphere shape.
Is there an easier way to do this? It would be nice to be able to do triangles also but I need to conquer this one first :)
I just started working with a sublimation printer - We have a lot of different products and I am wondering - can I create a library where I can layout/create all my (box, circle, etc) containers to place my photos in on a specific size page. We may use several diff containers on each page. I would love to create one library and work from there?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have created an 18 layered object on Corel Draw X4 using vectors and I would like to make it blur and streak from the back, to create the illusion that it's actually in high motion.
I have tried looking for the answer to my question on this site and elsewhere and only find the answer if it were a bitmap, yet I don't necessarily want to transfer it into bitmap as I would like to keep the smooth edges.
I am trying to create a pattern like this [URL]... in CorelDraw x4.
It's not something I have tried to do before and I am a newvie to CorelDraw as my new job requires me to use it. My old job required Illustrator CS4/5.
After this error when I click cancel to delete the files and start again shows the same error deleting the remaining files.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI can't find an easy, out-of-the-box way to create a 1920x1080 file from my clips. My clips are shot in HD (1080p) and I can output in 1080 via .mp4, but not .avi. I've been producing in .mp4 and converting through an external tool to .avi, but quality is lost a bit.
I tried using "custom" and user-defined resolution, but the file size was enormous and didn't playback correctly in WMP. When I select the compression types, it locks out user-defined resolutions.
I want to create some MP3 audio files from my videos to use in a new car stereo. I thought VS X5 pro would do it but I cant find a option for it....
