View 6 Replies View RelatedI just recently purchased Video Studio Pro X4 and found it to work well in most respects except when I have no audio when working with AVI files. I have wanted to burn to DVD but can not hear any audio. I have tried installing the KLite codec package as well as any other codecs I could find that might be relevant onto my Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit system.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI use audacity to record audio from my microphone. Everything was working fine, until I changed some settings for my sound card. Nothing was changed for audacity or X3.
However, the length of my file in audacity (and in iTunes) is 33:08... but in X3 it imported as 33:34. I was so confused the first time that I re-did everything... and I have the exact same issue the 2nd time around. Since the length is fine in audacity and iTunes, it has to be an issue with X3 importing it.
The file is an mp3, 128kbps, 44100 Hz, stereo.
I have just loaded X4 (previously used VS 11.5 Plus); however, I can not seem to get the sound working properly inside the X4 program. My sound card is fine and when I play/select the individual files using windows explorer they all play fine. Is there a global mute setting that I have to turn off/on?
Also, I have a lot of audio, transitions(burger, etc) and animation files from VS 11.5+ that I would like to make available in X4. How you upload these file into X4? How to load the Bonus Audio content that came with X4 (animal, cartoon, etc)...

I have a video file, I have an audio file. Video is loaded in the video track, audio in the Voice track.
HOW in the ... do I sync them? I have the mixer on, I can see the wav graphics, I can see where I want them to line up but either the Video track must slide forward ( and it won't, it's locked on 0 ) or the audio track must slide backward (but it won't slide below 0 start) I've tried splitting, clipping... I can't get it cut just right. All I want is time frame 0 for the video to start at positive time frame within the audio.
I tested yesterday creating a video using "same as first video". All inserted files were AVCHD. The created video file, typed mpg, was missing audio no matter what I tried: tried mp4, avi, etc. I then turned off Smart Render in the options that pop-up when creating the video and it worked ( I have Smart Render turned off in the Preferences, BTW). This appears to be a bug or am I doing something wrong? In any case I am happy with this "work-around" Al
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have recently upgraded my old VideoStudio 12.00 to VideoStudio Pro X4 and have only just started using the program again after a couple of years of absence so I am still on a learning curve.
Can I extract the audio from a video clip and if so how and how can I convert it, if necessary into an Audio Interchange File Format, so that I can export it to a program such as Audacity for removing background wind noise before importing the Audio back into the videoStudio project.
I have tried using all the audio filter functions in VS to remove the background noise, to no avail.
I can't find an easy, out-of-the-box way to create a 1920x1080 file from my clips. My clips are shot in HD (1080p) and I can output in 1080 via .mp4, but not .avi. I've been producing in .mp4 and converting through an external tool to .avi, but quality is lost a bit.
I tried using "custom" and user-defined resolution, but the file size was enormous and didn't playback correctly in WMP. When I select the compression types, it locks out user-defined resolutions.

I am interested in saving my projects for both uploading to the web and for storing on my hard drive. I'm having some issues
I get by ok with the actual editing part of the VS 4 program. However, I am really struggling to figure out how to create the files in the most efficient format that would balance both quality/file size. I use two HD cams that record in the mp-4 format with h.264 compression 29.97fps. One is a Sanyo Xacti, the other A Kodak Playful. I like to record with the 720p/30 setting, and would prefer to retain the same frame resolution when I create the finished projects. Also these cams record at a rate of about 9000 kbps or so, but would like the finished project to be reduced to about half of that or maybe even less.
OK, so to this point I have experimented in saving my finished project to several different formats. And based on my first impressions, the AVI format looks best (when selecting ffd show and h264 compression). Only there's a problem...the audio is out of sync. About 1-2 seconds ahead of the video I have tried several times always with the same result. If I instead select xvid or h263 or h263+ as an alternative to h264, then everything seems fine. I have also tried creating a movie template with these parameters, as well as just going into the create custom file option and selecting AVI. Can't seem to solve the audio-video sync with h264 as the compression, no matter what I try.
Oh, and now that I've mentioned "Creating Movie Templates" I have another question dedicated just to that.
Why is it that when I save my project using my newly created template, the result is that I end up with several short saved files (portions of the complete project) instead of one single and complete file of my project? Have tried with both an AVI template in h264, as well as a WMV template. Doesn't happen when I don't use a template.
When I select Create DVD in X4, I get a pop-up dialog that allows me to insert my files into the "timeline" for creating the DVD. I can Add, I can change the DVD type, but I don't know how to continue. The Next button is grayed out, the tab for setup 2 is also grayed out, and there is no way for me to figure out What to do to create the menu and continue.

In order to create a video file in the AVCHD 1920X1080 format, I have the following options in the VSP X6:
AVCHD (1920X1080)
AVCHD (1920X1080, 24P)
AVCHD (1920X1080, 25P)
AVCHD (1920X1080, 50P)
What is the differences between those formats, so I don't know what to choose. My original clips are 25 frames/sec, does it means that I have to choose the 25P?
I'm having a hard time creating MP4 HD files. It's always gone well, but recently it seems that I get to around 99% rendering, and then it crashes. I get the message "The program has encountered an unspecified error and has stopped functioning"
I'm running an older dual core intel T2080 CPU with Vista, nothing fancy. It seems to happen with videos that are around an hour and a half. If I keep my videos to around an hour it will complete the rendering process. I am able to see the final 8GB file that was created, but it won't play as the rendering wasn't 100% finished with the longer video. This whole thing happens on different PC's so it's not my program installation.
Photoshop CS6 Extened won't play or process Dolby Digital (AC-3) Audio Files from my AVCHD video files. The video plays fine just no sound at all. When processed still no sound. Are there any (AC-3) audio codecs I can download and install. How would I install them. Do I need to convert audio files to another format & if so how & what format.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to recreate an audio/visual feature that was built in photoshop/indesign (with hundreds of individal frames, that took hours to complete) in Edge. I've started it and gotten about half way, but I've run into a roadblock and can't figure a way around it.
I need the animation to start onclick with a play button that switches to a pause button. This single button needs both play and pause functions associated with it, and the background image has to change accordingly. I've got the animation to go as far as play onclick, and pause, but I can't figure out how to get it to play again after the initial pause.
I'll need to add in an audio track to go over the whole thing, that will also play/pause. The entire thing has to be timed to the audio track. I have never done much javascript.
When creating slideshows in Adobe Photoshop Elements 9.0 I do not get any audio/music in the .pdf file.
I can get audio in preview and if I create a .wmv file but not in the .pdf file.
I have tried to add the document as a trusted document in the preferences.
I have tried with Adobe reader 7.0, 9 and X. Nothing works.
Note: My music is longer than the slideshow since I would like music during the whole slideshow. It is one music file. I run on a PC, Windows XP, service pack 3.
I have on .avi video file from friend, that I can play OK with sound in VLan player, I just installed X3 and tried to make DVD from it and got it without sound, same thing if I play this loaded .avi in X3, don't have any sound ? Is there any secret encoding I have to look for ? Somebody told me that X3 will eat any format.
I"m running W7 with trial X3?
I am having a problem with way slow audio in Ulead Videostudio 11.5 plus. I know it's an older version, but the format is similar or the same for some of the programs and maybe someone else has had that issue on even a new software version.
I managed to make some music videos with the software, after going to Youtube, as the manual for the software really isn't that great in all honesty. it simply doesn't tell you much detail on doing things. Putting in a music track to the video clips and then turning the sound on each clip all the way down wasn't a problem, but now that I want to do a normal video-I'm finding the sound in the virtual clip or whatever(which I recorded into my digital camera-mov. files), plays like Jabba the Hut off Starwars!
What do I do here to make it sound normal and be able to edit properly and share it in normal sound?I tried splitting the audio and then it sounded normal, BUT it still had that nasty slow sound on the audio. No matter if you mute it or pull the sound down in the video/audio clips in editing. How do I get rid of that slow sound or change it to make it right? Do I even need to split audio there?
So I go to edit some video and now all of a sudden there is no sound/audio playback in any of my clips. The files are fine. They play fine in other software, and in other editing software as well. But this is the my software of preference and I can't use it. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED. The same thing has also happened to my DVD Workshop 2 software. And the same thing happened to at least 3 previous versions of VideoStudio. Everything works great and then one day BAM, no audio. The data is there because if I go ahead and render it again and play the new file on something else the audio is still there. So the problem is only on Corel/Ulead products. As a matter of fact I just downloaded the VS X3 demo. I cannot find anything about it online anywhere. If I cannot figure this out I am NEVER going to buy another Corel/Ulead product again. And I am a longtime user, way back to version 3 or 4. And for some idiotic reason I keep buying the new versions.

View 8 Replies View RelatedSlideshow Creation: I'd like to make a slideshow DVD for Xmas to give out. I've made a lot of movies with VS but never a slide show and in fact i've never created a slideshow in any program.
Is this possible in VS10 or would it be better to use DVDLab Pro for this? If VS10 is sufficient to do this (just a fairly basic slideshow NOT HD). I really can't grasp it from the Manual since it really isn't covered in detail there (or did i miss it?) I'm looking to see what types of photos/graphics files and what resolution as well as a HOW TO. I'm clueless about slideshow creation.
Audio DVD Creation:
I do seem to recall that i did this once in VS10 - or was this a dream? Is there any tutorial on this as well?
When using the audio fade in and out to activate the fade should the bars be highlighted or dimmed? I don't seem to hear any difference between them. (Vid pro x4)

Again it seems, audio plays fine when playing a clip from the preview window but not when playing on the timeline. (I had a similar problem with X10 and reported it in an older thread.)
Am searching now for more patches (and yes, I'm aware X6 is now the current version) but nothing obvious at the moment. Have found the SP 1/2/3 downloads on Corel's pages, but as it already upgraded to SP3 just after install, I'm guessing SP 1 and 2 are already covered..

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy PC got a virus and I had to reinstall VideoStudio 11 afterwards.
For the first time since, I've burned a multi-chapter DVD and when I play it there is no audio on Chapters 2-4 but it sounds fine on the menu music and the first chapter. Each chapter is an AVI and plays fine in VS and then in the menu preview.
I've reinstalled the software a couple of times and tried a different DVD+R but still no audio on half of the disc.
Can I record audio from a mic with pro x4
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been using VS11+ for a few years, and have never run across this problem until now. I am trying to import DVDs recorded on a specific machine and am getting video but no audio. There is audio on the DVDs. I have tried importing both as mpg and as avi (in project properties) but neither works. Although I've been using VS, I am self-taught and not very knowledgeable about codecs, recoding, etc. I mainly use VS for importing video from DVDs, editing, rendering and burning onto DVDs. I am not certain of the make/model of the DVD recorder, but I do know it is new. (I did a keyword search for "import DVD no audio" before posting, but it returned over 2,000 results).
