Aug 9, 2013how to import a large number of .eps files that are templates into corel draw x3 so that when I click create new from template, these files come up in the list?

CorelDRAW X6 :: Templates And Some Imported Vector Files Crash
Oct 4, 2013After the last couple updates for Coreldraw X6 (now running at v 16.4.0.1280) my version of Draw has been crashing when-ever I go to open any of our custom templates. The templates are rather complicated, and we've been using them for years... probably since Coreldraw 7 or so, and they've gracefully worked with every version of Corel up until now.
Each model year we create a new version of the template with the new model features and file the old ones away, which also ensure that the version of the template is not too old... ie, not still trying to work with CD7 files in CDX6.
I tried doing a workspace restore (F8 at start) and that would allow me to open the template through the File -> New From Template menu the first time, but once I had my workspace set-up again, the next template would crash Coreldraw.
Opening a template via the standard File->Open menu does not crash Coreldraw.
I've now figured out that if I close the Object Manager before opening a template Coreldraw does not crash.
There was also a similar problem with importing some components that we had created as separate files, and with the same result... if the Object Manager is closed the files import alright.
I understand that there may now be "bad objects" in the file that upset the import feature, but I also don't think I can mine my way through 1940 objects (29436 points) in each template to find the issue.
CorelDRAW X5 :: Why Can't Import PDF / DWG Or DXF Files
Mar 2, 2010This is very troubling. I work with Autocad files, currently Acad 2010 is being used in the office.
I'm trying to import a siteplan for coloring, and I can't get the darn thing into X5. I import as a .pdf (created from Autocad) and I get a "file is corrupt" error. I'm used to that in X3, with Adobe upgrading the .pdf standard, but X5 should be able to read these files, right? This is the solution I'd prefer as it would be a one-step process, all lineweights and text spacing, etc. shouldn't change from the original file. At least one would think so.
If I import as a .dwg or .dxf, I get the expected dialogs, but after the font-matching dialog, CorelDraw shuts down with no explanation! Poof! I've gone back 15 years saved the .dxf as release 14 and still, poof!
I'm going to have to use X3 until this gets resolved...

CorelDRAW X5 :: Way To Import / Open SVG Files?
Dec 23, 2010I've got an SVG file, it was generated by a program which generates such things, its completely valid according to the W3C validator. If I try to open it or import it into Corel X5, X5 crashes. I send off a WER to Corel hopefully (it says it sends it but one never knows for sure.)
My system Win XP (32 bit, SP3), 3.5GB of RAM, 500+GB free hard drive space..Corel X5 - I am pretty sure it has SP2 applied it calls it self 10.2.0.661 in the About menu.
CorelDRAW X3 :: How To Import Docx Files
Apr 8, 2013I just noticed that there was a specific help option in DRAW X3 for issues re Office suite programs, and therein was the claim that it is possible to easily import files from MS Office apps. Having had little luck in the past attempting to do this, I was skeptical. So far, all I get are msgs to the effect that this format file cannot be imported using the available filter. I'm just assuming that this means that perhaps doc files can be imported, but not docx... Is there a fix for this? The company is planning on buying X6 soon. Does it support docx imports?

CorelDRAW X3 :: Import SVG Files - Size Of Object Different
Oct 26, 2007When importing .svg files into draw and illustrator the size of the objects is different. The svg files have been created with a dpi=72. Illustrator reads the file at that dpi so objects are the correct size. Draw appears to read the files with a dpi=96 which scales the objects down to 3/4 actual size.
Any SVG attribute that can set the dpi so that both programs import correctly Or is there a way to tell Draw to use a dpi=72?

Nov 18, 2013I'm looking for Garment and Hat Templates to create a virtual sample proof for customers to approve art. I've found some, but they don't have sweatshirts. I found one for T-Shirts that had all the shading and allowed to with one click to change the shirt color.
I've even tried Advanced Artist Design program by it lacks sweatshirts and is very limited on garment types, even the add-on purchase package.

Aug 29, 2013we have just upgraded from Inv 2011 to 2013. I am trying to create the drawing templates in 2013 by using the blank 2013 template and then copying our border from 2011 onto it. This works a treat apart from 1 thing.
The i properties do not get copied over as well so the sheet is blank from drawing number, title and the custom properties etc.

May 17, 2013I try to move all of the AutoCAD templates and configuration files to Sharepoint.I added the path to a common ACAD.LSP to the AutoCAD - support paths.The problem is:
AutoCAD does not find the folder.
Only after I open a Share point folder in explorer and restart AutoCAD, it will have access to the ACAD.LSP and everything is fine. It does't matter which Share point Folder/Space I open.

Lightroom :: Keeps Changing NEF-RAW Files To DNG Files Upon Import
Jul 31, 2013I am currently using a Nikon D7100 and recording my photos in the Raw/NEF-RAW format. Recently, whenever I am uploading my photos to Lightroom 5, my photos are changing to .dng files rather than staying in the NEF file. When I go and look back at my previous imports from the past few times, they are in NEF and NOT in .dng. Why is this doing this and how do I turn this feature off so that my files remain the same going from my camera to my computer through importation.
