I currently make an A5 magazine using corel draw x3.I am looking to make a full page advert with a photo at the bottom of the page (3rd of the page landscape) and then I would like to match the colour from the top of the photo and use it for the rest of the page.However I would like it to blend.

I have a curve fill with K100 and 50% transparency placed on top of a solid color background. [TOP]But when I turn the proof color on, or export as CMYK JPEG, or PDF, the result is as below. [BOTTOM]

I have a picture that has a dark boarder which I want to blend evenly into a black background. I've tried the gradient tool but can only seem to blend a small part of the picture and not all four sides evenly. Is there another way?

When I add the 2 people to the group shot however it's clearly visible that they were photoshoped in because the coloring, saturation, etc of the individuals are different from the group shot.

View 9 Replies View RelatedBasically I've got the cut out that I want to blend into a picture, and what I do is get the images as near the centre of the canvas as I can, then copy and paste a new layer. Take the new layer and reduce it in size by say 95%, then try to centre it within the original image behind is as best I can. Select round it with the fuzzy select tool, then delete the smaller image. Move back to the original image and then add mask layer and use gradient blur to introduce a gradually fading of a few pixels round the edges.
The trouble is this method is not really good for complex shapes and often involves some iWarping to get the smaller image within the boundary of the larger one. So my question is, is there an easy way to fuzzy select round an image boundary that can introduce an arbitrarily chosen margin, say 5 or 10 pixels?
Anyway this is the kind of thing I am working on at the moment, making trippy fantasy images using dead animal's skulls.
How do i blend a picture into a background? It's like this. I make a picture of an anime char and the background is all gray or white, but when i put it onto the background, the gray or white part of the pictures shows up and blocks the background a little? How do i Overlay the background onto the picture gray background? For example:
Picture 1 is what happens, but I want to learn how to do it like Picture 2.

I try to shoot all my pics same light, etc. I want to paste all my designs on this uniform towel (no background).As you can see the square pasted on with basketball is on the same cloth but looks unmatched.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am trying to create a rhinestone template of my company logo. I have it as a PNG image as well as text because me logo is of the letter "V" in a downloaded font. I have converted the text to an outline. I created two circle shapes with the diameter of 4.3mm, the exact size of my rhinestones.
I use the blend tool on the two circle shapes, select option "New Path", select my logo, and then select option "Blend Along full path" but it doesn't. Its supposed to create an outline of 4.3mm circles all around the letter but it doesn't.

I am trying to change the background of a photo. Not just change the color but change the color AND make it keep it's original shading, etc. I have some family photos we had made recently and they used a beige color draping for the background. The ones we had made before had a black draping. I was wondering how I could go about using some sort of additive coloring to transform the varying shades of beige to the same varying shades of black.
I have already used the masking tool to separate the background from the rest of the photo.
Is there any freaking way I can change the background to be solid each time I start or reset 3ds max without having to create a maxstart.max file?
Because each time I switch project folders I lose my maxstart.max and the ugly gradient comes back again. I don't need it and I don't want it.
I have AI in CS5 and a PC running Windows 7 and am struggling to get this to work:
I drew a horizontal line across the artboard. On top of this is a large circle, and then I centered a smaller circle atop the large circle. I need the small circle area on BOTH circles to be transparent so that the line AND the color background I've chosen (for when this is imported to InDesign) will show through.
I looked around the forums for answers, and decided to select the smaller circle, go to the Transparency palette and select Knockout Group. But the center of the larger circle doesn't show through where the smaller circle is. I then selected both circles (because the line under both circles needs to show through) and then clicked on Knockout Group. Still no change. There is something else I need to know, so here are my questions:
Is there something about the formatting of the circles that needs to be done? (Like perhaps the smaller circle needs to be formatted with no color in it?)
Do all three objects need to be on different layers? And if that's the case, can I group objects on different layers? Also,...
All objects are grouped on one layer right now, AND I have a needed warp effect on them. Should I remove the warp effect before doing this and then restore the warp? I've tried doing this from Isolation Mode, but perhaps IM is in the way?
I'm trying to make an image I have which has a solid background (and a few other details inside it) transparent? so I can still see behind the graphics in the image yet the background at the same time... I know I've seen it before where the image sort of floats above the background... But I don't know how to accomplish this in Photoshop.

The problem is, the one at the top always reign and doesnt let other stroke effects on masks to appear. I reckon the problem is the background of the solid object. If this is the problem, how can I change the transparency of the background. If not, what might the problem be ?
