I'm creating an image for a webpage, I'ts a statue with a blue cloudy sky behind it. I'd like to smooth the edges of the image so that the sky blends nicely into the white web page.
I was hoping PS had something like a sponge that an artist would use on a canvas to diffuse any sharp edges at the edge of a painting.
How can I delete a blue sky and white clouds in the background of a picture? I am using Adobe Photoshop CS6.

I tried a mask and a cut'n'paste but the blur brings in unwanted stuff at the edges. What's the best way to do this cleanly?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI seem to be having problems when I lasso round a specific part of a photo taken with a white background and then try to add that part of the image to a plain #000000 black background.
I always seem to get a white outline around the image when I place it on the black background, even when its on ZERO feathered. I don't like using feathered as it adds a smudge round the outside of the image.
I have some text documents in PDF format and would like to edit it in photoshop CS5, but each time I open them up in photoshop, the background seems to be transparent (tiny grey and white tiles), which is very eye tiring when editing/annotating with a wacom pen, how to fill the background total white?

View 9 Replies View RelatedBasically I've got the cut out that I want to blend into a picture, and what I do is get the images as near the centre of the canvas as I can, then copy and paste a new layer. Take the new layer and reduce it in size by say 95%, then try to centre it within the original image behind is as best I can. Select round it with the fuzzy select tool, then delete the smaller image. Move back to the original image and then add mask layer and use gradient blur to introduce a gradually fading of a few pixels round the edges.
The trouble is this method is not really good for complex shapes and often involves some iWarping to get the smaller image within the boundary of the larger one. So my question is, is there an easy way to fuzzy select round an image boundary that can introduce an arbitrarily chosen margin, say 5 or 10 pixels?
Anyway this is the kind of thing I am working on at the moment, making trippy fantasy images using dead animal's skulls.
How do i blend a picture into a background? It's like this. I make a picture of an anime char and the background is all gray or white, but when i put it onto the background, the gray or white part of the pictures shows up and blocks the background a little? How do i Overlay the background onto the picture gray background? For example:
Picture 1 is what happens, but I want to learn how to do it like Picture 2.
I would like to draw parts in 3d view which look very basic, i.e. out of a book.
Example:
white block with black lines so you can see it is 3d.background should also be white.
How do i set autocad (2012/2013) to do this. I would like the model space to be the same and not just for printing.
I am using a pdf underlay to trace over and whenever the crosshair or pickbox enters a white area it does not shift color to black to remain visible. This leaves me picking randomly trying to guess where the crosshair or pickbox is. If I change the 3dconfig to disable hardware acceleration, the color shifts, but the pdf is whited out. Not to mention the fact that by disabling hardware acceleration, I'm wasting the expensive video card on the machine. Is there a workaround? updated driver? service pack?

I currently make an A5 magazine using corel draw x3.I am looking to make a full page advert with a photo at the bottom of the page (3rd of the page landscape) and then I would like to match the colour from the top of the photo and use it for the rest of the page.However I would like it to blend.

It shows up off-white or creamy. I thought it might be the screen, but the images print with the creamy color. I reset the color picker to 255-255-255, and also reset my preferences.

But then when I Select All/Copy/Paste Special into my Word documents, it comes over with a white background. I do not want this, especially because the Word document has a gray background.
