I was hoping PS had something like a sponge that an artist would use on a canvas to diffuse any sharp edges at the edge of a painting.
when i go into the editor and pull up a picture and blue background appears behind the picture and circle enters the screen. how do i get out of this?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have about 200 pictures that have a white background that I need to change to blue. Normally I would use the wand, crop it with the pen or do a color selection. The only one that is working is the pen but it is taken way to long and was hoping someone would know on a better faster way to change the white background to blue and possibly even making it a action so it wouldn't take that long.

It's creative commons, so I guess I can post screen shots...
The cat is from [URL]...
A general idea of the selected area
What happens when I take out the selected area
So how can I take the pieces of the cat out of the selected area so when I try to delete the background I don't get an invisible cat?
i have 1000 eps files to work with and i dont have the time to go to each one and change the color from blue to black! all are different shapes so i need a batch command that will keep the white, white and change any other color to black!

1 - How to take a pic with a white background, and make it transparent.

i have been trying to cut the white background out of a picture. But when i select the picture after cutting the white background out of it and putting it on a black background the picture surrounded of a part of the white background.

I just started using Paint.net, and while I love it, I am functionally useless with it as of now. I am making a pair of shoes on another website, and I need this image as a picture for the shoe, but no matter what I try, the image always saves as a white background, when all I want to save is the picture itself WITHOUT the white background.

In elements 11 layers is there a way to create a white mobile template that sits over a background picture? I need to create a white boarder around a standard 4x6 picture, to create a picture with very specific dimensions, to expedite the trimming process on the final print. This "mobile white template" would allow me to select part of the picture. This White boarder would act a little like a mobile picture frame.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to change the white background on a picture of myself to be transparent. When I use the "Color to Alpha" tool, it works, but when I paste the photo into word/powerpoint/etc not only does it turn the white background 100% transparent but it also makes the whole image slightly transparent.
How can I make the white background disappear without making the whole image transparent? I want to use color to alpha because if I simply use the magic wand tool and delete the white area there is still some white showing through my hair.
I just learned how to remove an object from the pic. Now this is my question.............i have a pic of a flower and i removed the background. I want to put the pic. on a solid white background. How to do this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just want to cut out/lasso an item in a pic and not have a black or white background..just the item itself..
I have *picked a photo
*click layer
*chose transparency
*added alpha channel*
*cut/lasso item out
*selected invert
*pressed delete on keyboard
*pressed select and none
I then get this picture which looks perfect right???
But when I copy and paste it or open file in paint or anywhere else it ends up like this? I want just the cut out and not the background too but no matter what I do the stupid thing comes with..
Is there some kind of tweak I can do so that when I scan in full color, the white paper scans as white, not light blue or yellow?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm using PSE8. I was using Filter>Render>Clouds and it was working for me. I must have done something because the clouds that are rendered are black & white not Blue and white. My photo is of course a color image. How I can correct this or what I need to do to get back to the default setting that will render blue & white instead of black and white?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using CS5 to edit DSLR photos, I want to do a big radial zoom blur on the stormy clouds in the background without touching the building in front of it. I tried a mask and a cut'n'paste but the blur brings in unwanted stuff at the edges. What's the best way to do this cleanly?

My whites and light grays seem blue. For example, if I create a gradient from white to black, the lighter grays, will seem bluish. (See link)
It's not my monitor or color settings because when I save the images, they export in the correct shade of gray. (See link)
Also, the canvas itself doesn't come up blue. It remains white, like it should. The blues occur in shades of gray such as e6e6e6,
I would like to create like a blue filter to cover my picture to make them "blueish". so for example, a picture in black&white will become somehow a little more blue. if i have a picture representing a garden, everything should turn to blue tints.

I'd like to change the white background to sky blue, to the left of the woodpecker in this photo I took.
I've been trying selections and then refining the edge with various settings. I've tried a selection with the barely recognizable branch on the bottom left and without the branch in the selection.
Once I have a selection with a refined edge I've been using Image>Adjustments>Saturation to change the color with the Colorize option checked on.
I can't get the white background to light blue without making it obvious. The blue sky and edge of the tree just doesn't look right (I forgot the term).
Would anyone have some advice on how to change the white background to a natural blue sky color and have it merge well with the bark edge? Removing the left bottom branch from the photo would be fine.
I attached the full photo scaled down to 500x375 and a larger section of the left hand side.
I understand the technique for changing colors of an object (New Adjustment level | Hue and Saturation). The question I have is I am trying to change a t-shirt color from Blue to a white color. I have used all the adjustments and cannot get close to white.

Have great pic of Christ Of The Andes. Huge statue in foreground (gray color), and all white sky in background because of overcast day. I want to change the sky color from white to blue. Formerly, in Elements 4, I could do it easily with the Magic Wand tool. I recently upgraded to Elements 11 and, to my shock, find there is no Magic Wand tool. I am running Windows 7. I tried the Brush tool and, while it selects the correct area, I can't get it to insert the blue color. It is not a choice of color offered. Only gray. I also tried via a new layer, but could not get that to work either.

At first I thought maybe it couldn't'nt work with the dng format and then I tried opening a jpeg in the liquify filter, same problem.I've had no problems in CS5 and I'm working on the same computer.
I have this photo taken in tungsten light, but there remain reflections from the outside light (the sun) which of course appear blue-magentish.
I thought maybe mixing with yellow-green could eliminate them. Actually I only need to decrease their saturation and thus become like other whitish reflections..
