Sep 18, 2013I am trying to replace multiple instances of a multiline text entity throughout several drawings and can’t seem to find a good way to make this come to fruition. (must use carriage return to differentiate between other instances of the text) ie
Replace:
Name
Location
Date
Vs
Replace:
Name
I need it to replace the text in the instance that has multiple text lines, and not the name where the text is on it’s own. I have seen mention of using “u+000A” as a carriage return in older versions, but I can’t get it to work.

Apr 3, 2013I am running CorelDraw X6 and I am having a strange issue. I have it installed on a PC with windows 7 64 bit, and CorelDraw is also 64 bit. The issue is that when I have a string of text and I try to edit it via the "edit text" box, it wants to shift the text down a row after closing the box. so if I open and close the edit text box lets say 5 times, the text will be dropped down 5 spaces. This problem does not occur if I use the text tool on the left side toolbox, only if I use the edit text box. Also, I have another PC with almost identical hardware, and it does not have any issues. I have tried installing .NET, C++, and many other tricks to try to fix it. I have reinstalled CorelDraw, and I have up to date drivers for my graphics.

Oct 30, 2011I need to take a word, and edit each letter individually. This includes changing shape, color, and slanting and twisting a letter. I want the "i" to be one color, and the dot over the "i" to be another color.
In my old drawing program, I converted the text to curves, then ungrouped the set of letters. I can't seem to be able to do this in Corel. Once converted to curves, when I select the text, the option to ungroup is greyed out.
i am posting this only after doing fruitless research online.

Sep 28, 2006adding text to an image.... No matter what text type, style or font I use, when I'm done with one line and carriage return to the next, the cursor doesn't go completely below the first line and the second line letters are typing half way into the line above it. What I'm having to do is hit reutrn twice. I'm assuming that this is a setting somewhere that I have accidentally enabled or disabled. I believe it's a setting in CS2 because I've opened a Word document and the return works there (I was thinking it was a setting on my machine, but this only happens with CS2).

Aug 14, 2006I need to enter text using the Type Tool and include carriage returns (I want to choose where to break the line, as opposed to having the program make that decision). At this point I am entering each line as a separate layer. Is there some way to enter my own carriage returns without creating a separate layer for each line? I am using Photoshop 9 on a PC.

Sep 18, 2013I am wondering if there is any way to 'find & replace' a carriage return; specifically to add one in. I have figured how to take it out.
the reason I want to do this, is because 'tcount' will increment, by the amount specified, for each line of mtext; I have multiple lines of 2 line mtext, and I want to 'tcount' one number in the first line of each instance of mtext.
Now, I know I can do it manually, and in fact I would have had it done almost an hour ago if had, but this issue crops up every now and again, where if there was a fix or work-around to the 'tcount' issue (such as somehow inserting a carriage return) my efficiency could be increased.. for example I could get through renumbering 30 instances of 2 or 3 line mtext across 15 different drawings..

Apr 12, 2012Transitioning to CD X6 while try to get work done is a chore. I just loaded the real CD X6 box version. It deleted the downloaded test version. But now I made a new poster and I am using Ctrl-E to export it and there is no Export Dialog box. It just saves the JPG in what it thinks I need!! How do I get the Export Dialog box back to control the parameters of my Export?

Aug 5, 2011Noticed the mis-alignment that occurs in some of Corel's dialog boxes? For example in the New Document dislogs (both Draw and Photo Paint). The Draw dialog looks like this on my machine:
Notice how the labels are out of line with the dialog controls - e.g. the label "Preview Mode" is much higher than the drop-down list it belongs to - way out of alignment. Also, notice how the 'Height' and 'Width' spinners cut off the second 'm'. It's the same situation with Photo Paint too.I mention this because in the Scott Georgeson Video Tutorials, his New Document dialog boxes are not misaligned
CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 :: Export Dialog Box Crashes?
Apr 14, 2010We have CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 installed on a Windows XP SP3 32-bit machine and when attempting to export a CorelDRAW file to anything (i.e. JPG), the applications crashes after the export dialog box opens. This happens for any file we try to export.
We have reset the workspace using F8, but it did not resolve the issue.
Exporting the same file in CorelDRAW X4 or even X3 works perfectly, this is only an issue with X5.
CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 11 :: Certain Dialog Boxes Don't Display Correctly
Apr 7, 2012currently getting by with v11 on winXP..Having a recent problem which I hope one of you can identify. I undoubtedly caused this problem myself by while trying to set up multiple monitors with different screen resolutions, dpi's, font viewing sizes, etc... but now I don't know exactly what setting caused it or how to get back to normal.
Here's the problem - two dialog boxes are displaying very skewed as shown in the screen-shots below. It's only these two dialogs I seem to have trouble with. It's like their popup windows are wrong proportions. No settings I change in my monitor setups seem to correct the situation.

When I try to set up my ppd-file in the printer dialog window, I can chose the ppd-file but the OK-button (öffnen) doesn't work. Clicking by mouse or by Enter button at the keyboard: nothing happens, the ppd-file won't be accepted. It seams the OK-button is out of any function in this window.

Apr 4, 2011I print spot color separations using CorelDraw a lot. Just ungraded from X3 to X5. One problem I am having is in the printing dialog. When a file has, say, 4 colors showing up in the separations section I may only want to print 2 or three of them. I deselect the ones I don't want - but all 4 seps come out. I am wasting a lot of expensive separations.

Dec 3, 2012How do I go about saving the settings on the open dialog box? It keeps moving to different locations and it keeps changing the Name / Date modified / Type / Size columns very narrow where it only shows the name and nothing else.
I do have the dialog box very large across so it can accommodate what I want including the preview.

The actual image is about 5.5" x 2.8" and in normal view is fine. when I open the dialog to adjust the whole image is collapsed into a few pixels.
I have shutdown and restarted Photopaint but the problem is still the same.

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 :: Cannot Edit And Then Save CDR
Jan 30, 2012I have a CDR project I am working on. As I work, I occasionally click the "save" icon to save the work. When I am finished for the time being, I am unable to click on either the "X" or "Exit". The program doesn't respond, and I have to go to the Windows Task Manager to shut down CorelDraw. Because of this, the work is not saved. I have Windows 7, and I also have all of the X5 updates installed.

After reading your posts here we have tried the following which we find quite annoying for a new program.
Surely this is something simple we have missed. All we have done is installed the X6 and run the program , clicked on a bitmap and nothing ??? This has really left a bad experience especially when we just purchased this program and it cant even edit an image. The customer support was terrible , I had to ring back because the person couldn't hear me about 8 times. It was only a search on the web that led me here.
