I am making new business cards using CorelDraw. When I save the business card to a PDF file and download it to Vistaprint, the text does not look sharp as it does in CorelDraw. Is there a way to download without being blurry?
View 7 RepliesI'm designing business cards and made my image to scale but when I try to print it says there are resolution problems. I'm not sure what to do. I set the print size to 3.5 inches wides by 2 inches tall but every time I upload it to the print company it say low resolution poor quality.

To print business cards, I selected Label AVERY 5371 - 2X 3.5 BusCr. Print preview looks good. There is no any visible alignment problems.
When printing is completed (Linen paper AVERY 5371), there is about 2 millimeters alignment problem for each card. I created my own template and the print is with the same results. The printer I use is Canon MP830 ink jet.
I have CorelDraw Graphics Suite X6. I have created what I want in the end to be a double sided business card. However, when printing I am unable to get what will be the back design to align with the front design. Does Coreldraw have a option of sort to make this happen automatically? Or is there a technique to make this happen?

Problem: All images are poor quality. I've tried clicking on enhanced view. That didn't work. This is across Draw, Photo Paint and Connect. I tried to alter a logo in Paint a year ago. I thought maybe it was just my machine causing the problem. But, I emailed to my brother and it was just as blurry on his machine. I've tried to look at Clip Art and the vector images are really bad--especially ones from previous versions of Corel.
When I export the image quality is poor. I tried all settings but it does not get better. E.g. I used JPEG, progressive, highest quality. What is the reason for that?

Then in print preview i have chosen to print the business cards in the center of the page. But the cards are on the bottom left corner and what ever i do it will not change.
maybe i have to change the margins in page setup-customize label? But don't know the inches.
How can i put my 4 business cards in the center of the page to print?

How do i align/position the two sides so i get specific elements where i want them on the back side,
the problem is not with the front and i only need to position the back and specifically, i have checked out the print preview imposition tool and only seems to just print duplicate copies however many times need, unless i used it incorrectly,
I mean i could manually try to set them up and waste a lot of ink and paper positioning the two sides but i believe there is a faster/smarter method to accomplish this.

What's the best EXPORT settings to get high quality for a .jpg website banner. I have played around with the settings and got no where. :-( I want the text to stay clear and sharp, and my dark colors actually dark. My setting so far give me faded colors and blurry edges on the text.
View 4 Replies View RelatedListing on ebay some clocks i do, looking at the latest requirements. They want a jpg image 1600 pixels on the longest size, ok its big but fair enough.
They also want it to be 90 on the 0-99 JPEG quality scale. Someone has shown me that scale in Ifranview but where do i find it in Corel Draw X4 blowed if i can find it, I don't really want to add another program just to sort this out, i am confident Corel Draw X4 can do it.
I am interested to know why with Corel Draw the quality of many of my images and text looks very poor on the screen, but when I publish to PDF they are how they should be. Is there any way of changing this so I see on the screen what the real quality looks like?

View 3 Replies View Relatedexporting my CorelDrawX6 files as a high quality jpg for large scale printing purposes. In X4 it was very easy - just export as usual to the highest quality cmyk jpg and open in Photo Paint... now when I export this way it takes forever to bring up the preview page and most of the time it ends up being blank. Sometimes even crashes. I have played with all options in the filter dialog menu that I can find but nothing works. Thought it might be a file size problem but never had that problem in X4 and anything under 200dpi will not be high enough quality.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI am trying to do a bitmap trace of an image. The resulting vector is OK, except that, between every shape of a single color, there is a line, and that line is made a color, either transparent, or a specified color - and thickness.
The preview creates a desired result, but the end product is the problem. When I click on the vector, I can change the color of the lines between the colors in the vector, and in the dockers, I can change the thickness to "none" but a line still exists between the shapes. The previews are just fine, what can I do to make this guy not look like a puzzle? Its as if the shapes in the vector do not touch each other. The previews show no lines between the shapes/colors, except in the final output.

How do I set it up so that it will print out on those business card sheets correctly?
Long-term user of CorelDraw, and have just found Xara P&GD, which is quite a revelation. I've re-designed my business card and how to print to A4, pre-perforated card. CorelDraw can make use of Avery templates for printing the single business card design, multiple times, on the same sheet of card, but I can't find a way to do this with Xara without physically copying the design to make a composite A4 layout. Can Xara do this the "template" way?

Create your business card and then set it as a LIVE COPY and repeat it on page. Now if you need to make a change later to the business card all the other copies of the business card change automatically.

I am designing my Business Card in PS. Now my business card has a back and front...In illustrator I would create two Artboards. What would I do in Photoshop? Do I extend the canvas to double the size? Or do I create a seperate file for the backside?
What is the correct way from a printing perspective?
My printer (digital printer) tells me that they dont recommend having any borders on their cards as during the printing /cutting process the edges may be trimmed 1mm in a random manner and thus offsetting a nice even border.
Is there anyway to combat this or do I need to go to a specific type of printer?
Or do I just setup the file and hope the random edge cut/print/positioning goes my way?
Id love to get a small white 1mm/2mm edge on the left and top of my card if possible, bottom doesnt matter as its allready white and right edge there doesnt need to be one.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have some Ai files that I need to open in X6 but they use linked images which I have, but when opening in CorelDraw all I get is the basic Ai stuff but not the linked images, is there an easy way to open the Ai file and see it as it was intended?
As a sub note I can't go back to the supplier of the Ai file to make any changes.
