Whenever I type a url or web address Corel insists upon underlining and making it a link; how do I turn this off. I highlight the url and remove the address from the url field and click apply and it takes numerous times repeating this process to remove the link. I want to turn it off so it does not automatically create a link.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have created a symbol in CorelDraw X5 on a Mac using parallels.
The symbol is on a layer which is not locked, and the object which has become a symbol was grouped before I made it into a symbol. The boundary marks changed from black to blue.When I try to select Edit/Symbol/Break link, the Break link command is greyed out.
Can I get text in a symbol to change based on file / tab name or other attribute?
View 2 Replies View RelatedDraw froze yesterday and I had to force close it. When I started working today, I noticed that the 'Edit bitmap' link in the tool bar and drop down menu is grayed out. I've tried F8 and all that did was delete all my darn preferences. Beyond F8, are there any other options?

I use corel draw to assemble jpeg images I have exported from another application into a presentation which I then publish to pdf.
My problem is that whenever I update the images I have to re-insert and position/scale each one again in the corel presentation.
I've been trying to work out how to do this with linked files or OLE objects, but without success.
Is there a way to link or embed jpegs so that if I update the original jpeg it will update in corel draw?
I've tried to follow corel help but it doesn't work. Inserting an OLE just puts a box with the jpeg filename on the page, and it prints as just a box with a filename as well.
I had several CorelDraw documents that crashes on me, and the auto-backup did not work.
In all these documents, if I open the text paragraph window and typed on it, the entire program will crash if I exit that window after finishing.
I discovered that if I typed directly on the text paragraph, it will not crash. That means do not open the text paragraph window to do editing. But this makes editing very slow since it seems to be more memory intensive.
Strange the auto-backup directory/folder always do not have my backup files too.
How I get an automatically opened PDF file just after saving it? In the PDF settings in CorelDraw X5 there seems to be no option for this.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen setting a URL link to selected text in a text object, the link style (blue w/ underline) is not preserved after save, close & reopening. The url is still set if you select the same text.The biggest issue is when publishing to PDF, those links do not get published as it did in previous versions of CorelDRAW. This breaks thousands of our documents when publishing to pdf since we have upgraded from X3 to X6. This is a show stopper for us using X6.

How to bypass the print preview?
When I create something with an outline, the outline will increase or decrease in thickness as I resize the image. So if I have something at say 10" X 10" at 4pt outline, when I resize it to 2" X 2" the outline is like 5X thicker and messes everything up.
Is there a way to combine or something with a vector so the outline auto changes or never changes thickness when resizing the graphic?
I have CorelDraw 11. and I want to turn the Auto Caps off.
So if I type MHz Corel wont turn it into Mhz.
I had saved several X6 files to x5 and x4, and found that the text within had converted to curves.

At some early point, before I was at all familiar with CorelDRAW, I closed the document palette, and ever since then it does not open automatically when I start the program or open a document. I have had to open it manually, and I can't seem to find a way to make it open by default.

Later on, I'll want to change it but the increments have changed to millimeters. The only way I can change it back is by pulling up the full outline options window. Is it possible to assign a type of link to an object or text where the user can open the document and click on the object which is on the first page and it will take them to a specified page set by the link? This is kind of like web design but not, know what I mean?

Issue: When I select a bullet, the first one works - I then hit return and the next bullet is a ? with box around it. Looks almost like the program lost it's source path for the bullet to me?

if you have something selected and you press the minus key on the numberpad, you get a copy and paste of your selection. Unfrotunatly, I do not see a place to change this ANYWHERE under customization. how this can be turned off?
