AutoCad :: Cursors Colors Set To Be Tri-color?
Jan 11, 2013The cursors colors are set to be tri-color and the are but when i open a second viewport the cursor colors in the second viewport are white.

Photoshop :: CS5 Paint Bucket Colors Do Not Match Selected Color Picker Colors
Jun 28, 2012I recently installed CS5 on my laptop after first removing it from my previous machine.All licences were validated so no problems there.Now when using paint bucket in Photoshop, the colors that I select in the color picker are not the colors that result when I use the paint bucket.
If I create a new black canvas then the colors selected in color picker work with paint bucket.But if I attempt to recolor the background in an existing image that I import into Photoshop, I get the mismatch with colors when I use paint bucket. My method for selecting colors is the same in each case, I select 'set foreground color' and set the color using html values entry at the bottom of the panel.

Apr 14, 2008I am running Photoshop CS3 on Windows XP
when I use photoshop the cursors are 'Normal brush tip' and 'standard' as I have set them up in the preferences and sometimes they revert back to what I assume must be the default settings. The only way I can get back to the settings I have set is to close Photoshop, close windows and start again.

C:Program FilesAdobeAdobe Photoshop CS6 (64 Bit)RequiredPlug-Ins contains a File Formats folder. I copied the .8bi file for .cur files and it still did not allow me to save anything as a .cur. I am using Windows 8, 64 Bit.I also copied the file to the Adobe Bridge CS6 Plug-Ins folder.

May 15, 2008I can change the default cusor in XP Pro but it doesn't carry over to PS. The preferences/display&cursors tab is limited.
What I need is a heavier cursor or full cross hairs. I'm running 1920 x 1200 on a 22 inch Sony LCD screen. With aging eyes it's too difficult to pick up the tiny cross cursor on various photo backgrounds.
Photoshop :: CS3 Cursors Not Working
Oct 17, 2007I'm running CS3 Photoshop on an Intel Mac, OS X.4.10
I set the cursors in preferences to:
Painting : Normal Brush Tip
and
Other Cursors: Precise
However when I use the Brush tool, healing tool, clone, etc. I only get the "Precise" crosshair (the cursor that looks like a plus). This really sucks because I can't see how large the brush is nor the area I'm painting. Holding down shift key doesn't help either. I reinstalled PS and the problem persists. Only when the brush tool is below 40 pixels does the Brush cursor that I want (the brush circle) show up. Photoshop into using the brush cursor?
Illustrator :: CS4 - Certain Cursors Appear Invisible
Aug 10, 2013Certain selected tool cursors are almost invisible on my workspace. The lasso, type, rectangle, line tools when selected and moved into the workspace are almost the same colour as the background so it is impossible for me to get any accuracy with these tools as I can't find where they are on the page.
The other cursors, pencil, pen, eyedropper etc are coloured in black so it's fine. Is there a way of altering the other cursors so they are black too? Or finding another solution?
i'm working with CS4 on a brand new Macbook Air 11 inch.

Nov 12, 2012I cannot stand the CapsLock key. In fact, I modified my registry to remap the caps lock key to ALT-NumLock or something. But every time I use Photoshop, I have to be able to toggle the capslock key to enable disable precise cursors. So, then, I switch back to my primary app (InDesign, Illustrator, Dream weaver, anything ) and I type about 30 words before I realize I still had the CAPS Lock on.
there is a way to remap the precise cursor toggle to another key.
Paint Shop Pro :: X4 Use Precise Cursors Is Broken?
May 29, 2012I upgraded my Paint Shop Pro from X2 to X4 recently and now I find that the precise cursors seem to be broken.
The crazy thing is that it has broken X2 as well so I'm a bit stuck. I know that it used to work because I use PSP for digitizing vector curves and have existing drawings where the vector node is not at the center of the pixel grid.
Photoshop :: CS6 - Reverting Cursors Which Have Arrows In Top Left Corner
Aug 12, 2012I've been using photoshop CS6 since it came out of beta, and I've been happy with 99% of the interface changes, except for some of the the new tool cursors which now have arrows in the upper left corner. I've been meaning to post this a while ago, but it seemed that the forums were offline.
One example is the crop tool, but what mainly hinders me are the lassos and paint bucket cursor icons. Is there any way I can replace those with the original ones from cs5 and prior?
When you pick up a tool, and it has an icon of an object (i.e. a lasso), your instinct is to look at and use the tip of that object, not some little black arrow in a corner.
For example, you wouldn't want to have an arrow next to your text cursor, or next to your magic wand cursor, would you? You'd want to use the tip of the wand.
I'm not sure what part of the user community suggested these little arrows be added on those tools, but I find it to be a bad design idea. And it's an annoying choice imo, beacause it doesn't make sense from an interaction design point of view, and not because it would be hard for me to get wrid of my habit of using the tip of the lasso, and to get used to the arrow instead. It's bad, because now, there are two conflicting pointers in the same tool: the icon tip and the arrow tip.
[EDIT] I'm sure people will say that they prefer the new design, arguing about "design consistency" and whatnot. So this is why I ask if there's a way for me to replace the cursors in my photoshop, not everyone's.
Photoshop :: CS5 - Cursors Changed / Clone Stamp Icon
May 29, 2013I don't know what I pushed but suddenly my cursors have changed. My clone stamp now has a clone stamp icon instead of a circle and my spot healing tool has some tiny icon too instead of a circle.
What did I do to create this problem and how do I go about resetting it to what the cursors were? I'm using CS5 but then I had the same problem with CS3 too and never figured out how to fix it there either.

Jul 16, 2012When capturing screenshots with Corel Capture X6, the captured cursor always defaults to the Windows arrow pointer in the screenshot. For example, say you were taking a screenshot while using the Pen tool in CorelDRAW. The cursor is a fountain pen tip. In the screen shot it shows as the default Windows arrow pointer. Another example, you take a screenshot in Photo-Paint while using the Paint tool and the cursor looks like the brush you are using, but the screen shot shows it as the arrow pointer.

Apr 14, 2008I have scanned our baseball teams calendar schedule which has the days colored-coded; red for home games and white for away games. Also, they certain special home dates colored in a light blue. I want to replace all the light blue days with the same red that is already in use on the rest of the schedule.
I can find no way to use the red as the sample color, or transpose the RGB values shown into corresponding Hue, Saturation and Lightness values used in the Replace Color tool.
I do this every year and in the past I kept a old copy of Paintshop for this single task, but have finally deleted it and want to figure out how to do this simple task using my Photoshop 7.0.

Sep 3, 2011I'm trying to work with linked colors. I understand and can successfully manipulate both "Tint of another color' and "Shade of another color." I'm having a difficult time getting "Linked to another color to work as expected. The help document doesn't seem to offer much.
+ I create a named color called "S0" ('s'-zero). It appears on the left of the color pallet as a square.
+ I create a 2nd named color called "s1", and instruct that it's to be "Linked to another color". The color that I select as the Parent is "S0".
+ I see no way to control what linking attributes are to be assigned, aside from simply checking on/off the H, S and V option boxes.
GIMP :: Color Adjustment - Curving Certain Colors?
Nov 9, 2011I draw images by hand and then scan them and digitally color them.
The white of the page is not a solid white, but full of variance.Also, there are many tiny specs of dust and things that show up as grey specs on the image.
Prepping a black-and-white line drawing is easy; I just use color curves to set the mostly-white areas to pure white, doing the same with black, and tweaking the curve how I want to make my black lines sharper or smoother and cutting out those grey specs.
But I've been trying to work out how to add a second level of detail in these drawings. This comes in the form of a light blue. This light blue can be used for so many great things, like points to line up an image that was drawn on multiple sheets or to represent lines that will becomes shadows or highlights that I don't want to show up in the final image.
Previously I had been scanning my pages as greyscale images to completely wipe out extra color variations that I didn't want. If I do that with the blue lines they turn grey and they get eroded when I adjust the color curves. If I scan it as full color I now have subtle color variants that throw things off, and adjusting the color curves still erodes those blue lines even worse.
If I try adjusting the color curves by color channel I turn the whole image to a particular tint.
How can I adjust the colors of an image to turn anything mostly white into white, mostly black into black, and mostly light blue into light blue; and preferably be able to adjust the scale it does this by so that I might prevent dust from becoming black spots and even maintain the greyscale range at the very edges of my lines?

Jun 17, 2013I can add my own colors to the strip at the bottom of the screen, but time and time again I need to use grayscale that has to be just gray and its not! For instance if you pick 50% black and then click on CMYK scale it turns out to be C:49% M:45.5% Y:32.5% K:11%...Why is it not 0 0 0 50?
if you send something off to the printers with what you think is small grey text that looks sharp on your RGB screen it may well be fuzzy when you see it in hard copy from an offset press.So it would be great to redefine the standard strip, or at least be able to load a user strip every time the program starts.

Nov 29, 2011I was trying to learn about naming colors. I named a color, only to find it was now in my default color palette, which was now 'Untitled1'. I did not want to have the default palette that opens on the Color Line when I open the program changed and requiring me to rename it every time I named a color. I tried to undo my actions but had only partial success. The new named color is gone, but the color palette is still 'Untitled1', and how to restore the palette name. How can I correct this?
