View 9 Replies View RelatedDocument colors in Corel Draw X3 have changed. Example: dark green is now black on my designed object; Teal is now light green.
I thought it might be color management had switched somehow but all management settings do not make a change as they did before or at all. Basically I think the problem lies in the color management. I re-installed the program but the problem remains. Color management does not affect color appearances as they used too before.I run windows 7 and have had it for a couple of years with no problems.
I recently installed CS5 on my laptop after first removing it from my previous machine. All licences were validated so no problems there. Now when using paint bucket in Photoshop, the colors that I select in the color picker are not the colors that result when I use the paint bucket.
If I create a new black canvas then the colors selected in color picker work with paint bucket. But if I attempt to recolor the background in an existing image that I import into Photoshop, I get the mismatch with colors when I use paint bucket. My method for selecting colors is the same in each case, I select 'set foreground color' and set the color using html values entry at the bottom of the panel.
I would like to make a color selection and then make a mask of that color. How on earth do I do that?

What I want to achieve is have a swatch of the colours/hues of an image. Of course, the number will be limited, but is offers a great starting point to use for painting etc.
I remember that .aco files had something to do with it, but even Help can't teach me.
Any ideas are more than welcome!
I rememebr from my Photopaint days that in that app it was only one click on a button, but that in PS it was more complicated.

View 4 Replies View RelatedTo create a special effect (but not TOO garish!) I'd like to change this brownish meadow so that it looks much more like one of the swatches from my color swatches panel.
Do I need to create a new adjustment layer, or are there other approaches? Below is a screen shot.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have scanned our baseball teams calendar schedule which has the days colored-coded; red for home games and white for away games. Also, they certain special home dates colored in a light blue. I want to replace all the light blue days with the same red that is already in use on the rest of the schedule.
I can find no way to use the red as the sample color, or transpose the RGB values shown into corresponding Hue, Saturation and Lightness values used in the Replace Color tool.
I do this every year and in the past I kept a old copy of Paintshop for this single task, but have finally deleted it and want to figure out how to do this simple task using my Photoshop 7.0.
I have been using Adobe since CS3, now using CS5. Why is there still no way to have the color swatches FILL the panel.
I rarely use more than, say, 8 to 12 colors in a document. Why can't I set the Adobe products (I mostly use Ps, Id, and Il) so that the swatches panel has no blank space. I would like to have the colors will fill the entire space with LARGER tiles/icons. I find it very frustrating to have to click on a micro-sized square to pick a color. Or, try to discern small changes in the shade between 2 colors by squinting at such a small sample (again micro-sized square).
So, I'm having an issue. I'm working on a file, there are colors already on it, and when I try to eyedrop the colors again to use them Photoshop doesn't give me the same color.
For example: I have a red square and blue square on page. I eyedrop the red (after I've finish painting the blue) and start painting, but it's a shade darker. The same happens when I go to the blue. I eyedrop the new shade and it becomes even darker
I want to adjust the colors in this image so that "Red" is red, "Blue" is blue, etc:
(I have a larger version of the image that I am using,)
I designed a UI for a small screen device. The assets need to be exported now, with 256 and also 1024 indexed colours.I have never heard about 1024 color pallete. How can I do it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI would like to replace a range of colors with a single color in an image.
I know there is the replace color adjustment, but this replaces a single color e.g. 190,190,190 with another color e.g. 200, 200, 200. I would like to replace a range of colors e.g. from 185 to 195 with 200, 200, 200.
I've been playing around with the gradient map tool, and love the randomize and noise option to give me nice looking gradients for my images.... my question is, is there a way to "extract" or "split" the colors of the randomized map into its separate colors as if I was creating them manually with the "solid" option?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI want to make this same exact BG but using different colors than what is in this (my own colors) gradients won't work as the colors are not completely across the image, they are mixed up a little... doesn't look like a gradient was used in this because of the varyness off the colors that go across... I cannot think of a good way to explain the color layout in this image, but I'd like to know how to make this using colors I want.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAny way to change what colors make up an image. I have a palette of 400+ colors that I'd like the image to be composed of but I can't find a way to convert it to only use those colors. Changing the mode to indexed mode doesn't work since you can only index 256 max colors.
Is there any plug-ins or tools I am missing that can do this? (Basically it will change every pixel in the image to the closest matching pixel from a large [400+ color] palette.
So I am creating this website, and my customer wants a header banner similar to this:
(I don't know if it's clear enough, but there are multiple lines going through the image, with different gradient colors and so on)
Now I can't use this image, since it belongs to another website, but I want to make my own. So, I have no clue about how to make these lines in GIMP. I know GIMP's interface very well (been cropping, coloring for years), but not advanced features like this.
And it's not only the lines, but also the shadowing/coloring in between the lines that I seriously have no clue about how to make.
What is the tool called used for making this? Is there a video tutorial on how to make something similar?

View 3 Replies View Relatedhow to use the match color tool to automatically convert one grayscale image into multiple output images based on a collection of color swatches? Or a better process to achieve this automated?
I have all the swatches in psd files in one directory. I can do them one-by-one but I was wondering if there was a way to automate this process and have it spit out and save the different images automatically based on the saved swatch colors.
I still use Corel Draw 12 and my question is is there an easy or automatic way to make the outline color of an object the same color as the fill color? I do it the hard way of trial and error until I get the right outline color from the color dock/pallette.
