I'm working with ACAD 2011. How can i change the line tool to pick a polyline every time i press the line button?? It's simply because I'm tired of the pulldown menu. I know the shortcut but I would like to be able to pick it in my ribbon as well..

The line tool can change a line to dashes but this is a bit too uniform for hand stitching. I have seen a tutorial on doing this in Photoshop where a brush is made with a few small different length strokes. this is then spaced out and made to follow a path. how to create a hand stitch effect using X5 that looks like natural hand stitching...
View 4 Replies View RelatedI like that Autodesk now allows us to just pick a command's option from the command line instead of typing a letter in the option. For example, when drawing a rectangle we're prompted to "Specify first corner point or [Chamfer Elecation Fillet Thickness Width]" and if we wanted to draw fillets on the rectangle we can simply PICK that option from the prompt in the command line OR enter an "F" and return.
Is there a way we can use this functionality in our custom programs?
we just upgraded to acad 13 at the office and now when i pick single line text to edit it the transperancy of the shading is so dark i cannot see the text line to place my cursor where i need it to be to change say.. one letter or whatever.

but the command doesn't seem to like my PT1 value
BLK and VAR1 are set in another lisp routine.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm running GIMP 2.8.4 on a new Macbook Pro (only 4 months old, that's new in Mac years) running Mavericks.
When I click the eyedropper to sample a color from an image already in GIMP, the whole 'Change Foreground Color' or 'Change Background Color' window just freezes. I neither get the little floating eyedrop curser nor can I even close the box for a couple of minutes. It eventually lets me close it, but only after some time has elapsed, not because I've done anything that I can determine. Needless to say, I never get to actually sample a color
I have been scrolling through this forum and google, and have not found an answer.My Illustrator CS5 has been working all day, and I went away from it momentarily to pack some boxes for moving and the eye dropper tool started picking up colors that didn't exist in the placed image i'm grabbing from.(clearly not black within that circle...)
I "found" a solution on this site where you go into your eyedropper options and make sure your appearance boxes are checked, and they weren't so I did that, and now the eyedropper tool won't pick up any color at all. I have a project deadlines that require this program, and i've tried just about everything but re-installing.
Here are the way my settings are now:
When I go to pick a color in Photoshop CS6 I receive an error message saying that "Could not complete request because of program error"! Why did this happen now when I've been using photoshop for months? I've not added any plug ins recently... All worked fine with all plug ins installed for months.

So, I'm a dyed-in-the-wool Adobe user who is somewhat new to the Corel world. In CD12, I was able to successfully create a workspace and workflow that mimiced AI. In CDX4, I've run into a snag assigning the "v" key to the Pick Tool. I get a msg. in the dialog box that describes it being already assigned to a nebulous "tool modifier". Because of this, I am unable to re-assign "v" to the pick tool.

But it only will pick up white as a color and fill the other object with white, and not the actual pixel color I am trying to grab. View 11 Replies View RelatedThe current shortcut for toggle pick tool is ALT+SPACE BAR, but CorelDRAW X5 do not allows to change to CRTL+SPACE BAR (as I´d prefer it). There´s any other shortcut using this key combination.

Disregard what I wrote above. But for some of these mysteries of the computer, I´ve got it: CTRL + SPACE BAR works!. Do not ask how that happened, because I did nothing different from what I had been done before. It just worked. I guess that myself or CorelDRAW were not in a good day. (But still think it was the CorelDRAW - lol).

The background is a gradient mesh(ignore the crosses). I used eyedropper tool(shift-click/normal-click both gave the same result) on the background and it gave me a strange result. As you see the back ground is blue-to-black gradation but the color picked is green-ish from nowhere.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm using corel draw X5, I can't move object if I select "Traditional CorelDRAW" option for ctrl/shift keys, under Pick Tool menu in options window.
If I choose "Windows Standard", I'll be able to move the objects. But I don't like this behavior, because the way it draws new objects, anchoring them in center, instead of upper left corner.
This bug started just after I change this option, "just for curiosity". I wish I never discovered it. How can I solve it? I want to set ctrl / shift behavior to "Traditional CorelDraw" AND be able to move objects.
I am ready to print my stuff. But I have to manually use the pick tool in the print preview window to move my pages around so that they will print the stuff in the center of the pages.
I do my print run. And then save the "Print style".
Come back the next day and I have to re-do all the adjusting of the work again so that it all gets printed. I would have thought that saving a print style would make it so that next time everything is the same as before.

Currently I get all the properties from the line, create a new polyline with it and delete the line. I fear data may get lost this way. What is the best way to convert a line to a polyline?

It is a drawing from an house designer, I am adding structural members and notes over the drawing. I could xref, but I need to move/erase some of their notes as well. It becomes cumbersome to switch to the source dwg, edit & save, move to current dwg and refresh, to have the note where needed.
This is a pretty strange to me drawing file. It seems that a bunch of system variables are altered and hopefully it doesn't migrate over to files originating from my machine.
I am working on drawing supplied by someone else. In this drawing virtually all the lines are polylines whereas I just want to work with 'ordinary' lines. It causes problems with filleting lines as it automatically turns new lines into polylines. Is there a way to turn a polyline into an 'ordinary' line or do I just have to redraw each line or put up with the problems it causes?

I've been working on a floor plan after which I wanted to mark the border of a particular area. So, I drew a polyline surrounding the space and used a 2 (inch?) lineweight. It appeared on my screen to be very thick so that was great. The problem is I can't seem to draw any other polyline without seeing this big thick line on my screen - even if the linewieght is set to something thinner. It still "shows up" huge. It's like my viewing setting is frozen to only show polylines real big.

In this code line:

always catches the same Exception "the value is not within the expected range" .I have translated it because I get "El valor no está dentro del intervalo esperado". Perhaps is this: " Value does not fall within the expected range.".
I have tried it with different point3d values but always catches Exception.
With pol3d I have similar problem.
