if i'll press DEL button it'll not delete or E+Enter same it will not erase. after slection Commond is not working first i need to run commond then work so i want to slect then if i use any commond it should be work
View 4 RepliesWhen I select a hatch or polyline or any object with grips for that matter, and hold down shift to select multiple grips on the object or objects and then press my middle mouse button to pan or scroll it to zoom, the grips that I have selected de-select, meaning I have to set up the view so that all the grips I want to move are visible before selecting them.
This is only happening on some drawings (although it is most of them) and only when I use 2012 not 2011. Which system variable it is that has gone screwy that I need to reset? or is it something else?
I am not able to select item and then click command icon. Every time a command has to be started and only then the items to be selected. Drafting speed has reduced. also properties toolbar is also not working. basic props like col, lay etc can not be changed from the drop down menu.
View 3 Replies View Relatedhow to turn off the little flyout menu that comes up when I am trying to use the LAYFRZ command and am selecting an object that is either extremely close to an object on another layer, or directly on top of an object on another layer. I am trying to quickly select a lot of layers to turn off, and when zoomed out I keep having to pick from the drop down menu which one I want to freeze.
I do not need to have this option on most of the time and would LOVE to turn it off as it is slowing me down a lot.
When in the hatch command in 2012 I go to select the layer I want to use, but only some of them appear in alphabetical order, and the rest seem to be all over the place making it quite difficult to find the layer I want. I've tried increasing the maxsort figure, but it makes no difference. How to make them appear in the correct order?

What to do to change the settings so you can select an item or items and then type in the command you wnat to use? This seems to have changed between Autocad 2012 and 2013 and only executes command if typed in first then itmes selected.

I'm currently having diffulties editing my selections, specifically lines, hatching etc through the properties command. When I select a polyline or hatch and then select properties it shows that there is no selection. However if I select text I can edit the text style, but I can't change the colour. I've tried to change back to the default settings but that hasn't work.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy company just switched over to AutoCAD 2014 and for some reason the PUBLISH command is not working, or following through with the printing once we complete the required steps to plot.
We are able to select the drawings to be plotted (8"x11" sheets), then successfully bring in our page setup that we created with one of the drawings to be plotted (which we use the same template with the same limits on ALL of our 'drawing templates' we design with.
After we hit the PUBLISH button at the bottom it goes into the background and just stays there with no errors or anything After a little while we end up just having to cancel and plot individually.
We used TrueView to BatchPlot which is identical to the batchplot(publishing) in ACAD 2014 WITH NO ISSUES!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am working in AutoCAD 2011 and, all of a sudden, both left- and right-click stopped working properly.
Right clicking only repeats the last command, either with or without any object selected, even though my personal customized preference has been set to Edit when an object is selected.
But most worrisome is the left-clicking situation. Double left-clicking does nothing, instead of the usual editing it had been doing all these years.
When I single-left-click an object, it seems to select it (grips appear and the object lines appear dashed, just as usual), but if I want to do something afterwards, it does nothing. For example, I select (single-left-click) an object and press the delete button, and it does nothing. Also, despite the object being selected (in appearance at least), I noticed that the "Layer" and "Properties" toolbars don't change, thus, not displaying the correct layer and other properties of the said object.
The way around this seems to be to type the command first and then select objects (which means that the commands work properly). But after more than ten years working the other way, you can imagine this slows me the hell down, almost to a point of continuous stand-still.
Also, we opened other programs to see if the mouse and keyboard were simlutaneously broken down. Of course theye weren't and, in the other programs, left- and right-click and "delete" funcitons were working properly.
The Array command does not work in the same way like in previous versions and I find it difficult. Also the snap mode does not work propel y when no command is in process and no object is activated.

Also, is there a command to reset all changes made through MVSetup in a viewport ?

I am following the U-Tube exercise called "Emergency Light (Cabinet) volume 1". I am at time stamp 1 hour 26 minutes, exactly.
In the video they use a Loft command in order to cut a shape out of two sketches numbered 10 & 11. I have been copying exactly and am having difficulty at this stage of the model.
Is there any reason why I am managing to use the Loft command earlier perfectly but not at this point.
I'm working with AutoCAD 2012 and I was surprised to find out that after typing: 'CAL "Expression" came up; and from all appearances, you'd think Autocad was awaiting (if not expecting) my input. However, none appeared on screen as I typed.
CAL command worked.
My setvar of CALCINPUT is set to 1.
I just tried to do an xref and the command stops everything. I get no reaction from autocad. What is wrong?
here is an update: The Xref Palette is docked to my left side and when I hover to get it to flip out I click the DWG button in the left hand upper corner. Well nothing happens from there. Now, when I type -xref the command works at the command line. How do I get the palette to work again?
My lot top mouse is not working no more with the zoom in and out command. I dont have and external mouse other than the one is install from factory on my lot top comp. It was working perfect, but i think i click something by mistake. I only learn enough to draw in cad but when it comes up to problems like this i do not know what to do. I was trying to copy a table with chairs from and other file and when i pasted to my drawing something happen so my mouse is not zooming in or out in my drawing .
View 5 Replies View RelatedThe answer to this post is not the pickfirst variable. I select text, a line, anything really then right click, copy and nothing it loses the selection set and waits for me to now select something. I know it sounds like pickfirst, but pickfirst is set to 1.

Deselect all as they seem to be unknown commands? (Quick select in properties does work) I have loaded my own profile (but have used the default profile aswell to check, still no joy)
I am currently using AutoCAD 2012 and having problems with the STRETCH command.When I select 3 lines, then deselect 1 of them lines and then select the STRETCH command it does not stretch the selected lines.
Now this is the way I have done in it in previous versions and it has worked. (AutoCAD 2010). Our Company has recently moved to 2012.Is this a function that has been removed with this version or am I doing something wrong?
I am using AutoCAD 2013 - Educational Version, and I want to convert my linework into a column grid. For some reason the COLUMNGRIDADD command is not being recognized by the program. When I type it in the command line, it just says Unknown Command.
Additionally, my Build Panel is missing from the ribbon, which is the other source for the column grid tools. I tried to reload or change the CUI, but so far this has not been successful.
