When i type O for offset Command its not working its shows following error, i have attached the screen sort.
then i write full command "Offset" its working, like this many shortcut command are not working (Array, Reactangle, Fillet etc.)
how to create a Shortcut key "Alt + c" for "File - close" command? I like the same seeting as my Inventor seeting, and the Inventor is so easy to setup my Shortcut keys use "Tools-Customise-Keyboard".

How do you change/edit command shortcut keys? For example, I would like to change the keyboard shortcut key for the command COPY to "C" instead of "CO" and CIRCLE to "CR" instead of "C" because I use the COPY command much more than CIRCLE and I'd like to maximize my drafting efficiency. In older versions of AutoCAD, you could open the acad pgp file and edit the info using "wordpad"; however, I have not been able to find that same file for this 2011 version.

I have a problem where autocad will hang for almost 1 minute if I type in a misspelled command shortcut or misspelled command. For example if I try to type in "line" and I type in "linr" it will hang up for around 50 seconds. Is there a setting, system variable or key in the registry to stop autocad from looking for a command/shortcut that doesn't exist?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am currently using AutoCAD 2012 and having problems with the STRETCH command.When I select 3 lines, then deselect 1 of them lines and then select the STRETCH command it does not stretch the selected lines.
Now this is the way I have done in it in previous versions and it has worked. (AutoCAD 2010). Our Company has recently moved to 2012.Is this a function that has been removed with this version or am I doing something wrong?

View 2 Replies View RelatedOn ACAD versions higher than 2005 the STRETCH command does not work properly. The problem happens when selecting the items from the left to right. The item is MOVED instead of STRETCHED. It works normally when selecting item from Right to Left. However I need it to work from Left to Right so that I can individually select the item that I want to stretch. Because of this, I am still using 2005. Both 2009 and 2012 have this BUG, making them un-usable for my applications. I just got a new computer with 2012 version only, but I can't use it. I am trying to get 2005 installed on it now.

When I do a Polyline, after i done an arc section, I would like to be able to press "F" instead of "L" to do a line section...
Is there an easy way to do that or do I have to reprogram a new Polyline command in lisp with the subcommand shortcut that I would like? (would prefer to avoid it as sometime I have to work on LT)
The reason behind all of this is that I remapped all my command to keys that are on the left side of the keyboard ... it work really well and I almost never have to lift my left hand except for the case with the polyline... the L key is miles away ..
Right now I remapped a button on my mouse to "L" but its not as natural as just using the keyboard.

if you care to not click-through, the problem is that certain commands (not all of them) simply do not disply in the command line. so the MOVE command for example looks like this:

same with QSAVE and who knows how many others.
I want to set up a keyboard shortcut for quickselect. I opened the CUI right clicked to create new temporary shortcut, put the command into the line and selected shift and Q. There some gobbledy **** message about it being also assigned to another command but that it will prioritise the one at the bottom of the tree, and my new shortcut IS at the bottom of the tree so far as I understand the phrase.
Bur when I try to use it, the shift key is not recognised. I press shift and q but all that comes up in the command line is q.

Not sure what happened, but my right click short cut menu is no longer working. I have verified my right click customization under options and also confirmed that "pickfirst" is on. It was working and then just quite. I have restarted the computer several times but status remains unchanged.

'Ctrl + 1' is copy so if i have something selected it will go directly in to the copy command and allow me to pick a point.
but now its doing this.

witch makes me think its hitting enter twice that deselects what i had selected.
the macro in cui is as follows

View 8 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to Civil 3D 2011 from C3D2010. I have used the same ACAD.PGP file for years that includes the shortcut C for the COPY command. Up until C3D2011 this would always allow me to copy an entity multiple times, (the default when COPYMODE is set to 0).
I am running C3D2011 64bit on WIN 7 64bit OS. It happens with other commands too that use a dialog box normally, i.e. INSERT - it only brings up the command line version of it.
I have just been given an new PC and trying to configure as quickly as possible.
I'm using Autocad 2012 and I cannot get rid of the shortcut menu when using the
distance command. F12 works initlailly but only for first part of command.
Shortcut menu always appears.
In the earlier versions of acad the "ctrl-w" toggled object snap tracking on or off, but in 2012 it is changed to Selection Cycling on or off. This is quite irritating, because I got used to toggle object snap tracking with it and still automatically use it for that purpose. But I tried my best in the user interface to find it and change it or even disable it. But can't seem to find it anywhere or change it for that matter.

I can move it around and draw a box (in the background of PS, outside any open images). I want it to go away and do SAVE AS instead.
