somehow one of my colleges managed to explode all multileaders in several drawings. Is it possible to re-create a multileader from an MText and a Line? Editing the text and re-adjusting the lines consumes far too much time...

I am using autocad lt 2010..I am labeling items in my drawings and the text looks different in some of the leaders. When i check the properties both leaders have all the same properties that i feel are relevant.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm using multileader overall scale to define ml. types for different drawing scales. For example ml. style 1_10 uses overall scale 10 and 1_20 uses overall scale 20.
When i select the ml. and change its style from 1_10 to 1_20 it also changes the overall scale to 20 which is ok.
Thing is that if i want to change it back from 1_20 to 1_10 (or something else) it only changes the dimstyle and not the overall scale(text height).
Apart from FLATTEN, is there a way to change the Z coordinates of an MLEADER to stop the text from appearing bold.
FLATTEN explodes the MLEADER & is thus not suitable for this.
One of the things about Mtext that I really like is to dynamically adjust the text box size. I don't seem to be able to do this when using the multileader with the Mtext. The Mtext when selected with the Multileader acts like the single line text where I have to manually insert returns.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI created a Multileader style in AutoCAD LT 2011 that worked pretty good. Basically a keynote callout with a tick on one end and a circle on the other end. After using AutoCAD LT 2012 it was noticed that there was a small dot in all the circles. It seems that if your Multileader type is set to "block", your source block is set to, whatever (triangle, circle, etc...), and most importantly, if your attachment is set to "Insertion Point", a very small dot is placed in the insertion point. It prints as well. When the same drawing is opened with AutoCAD LT 2011, the problem disappears.

For example when I am making the block I would like to put some descriptive text that may say "Post top insert connected to haboe pin"
After the block is compelted and placed into a new drawing I would then select the multi leader option and then it would automtically fill in the text. (from the pre-defined description)
I would like it to be similar to a callout in solidworks.
I was under the impression that you could search mult ileader text with quick select, but 'contents' or some variant does not seem to be an option.
Tell me the easiest way to find a multileader with specific text (including the wildcard)? I expect it can be done with quick select or filter but can't get it happening.
Trying to create a multileader callout that doesn't have a landing and the leader axis passes through the center of the ballon circle and not the side. Most the CAD applications I have worked with don't use leaders with "Landings".

I am trying to circle one of the letters and each will receive a number sequence afterwards for the comm addresses (is what I want to do anyway). This is a gov project so I have to ensure everything is addressed properly.
Circling the prefix would make this look ideal but I don't know if there's a way to do it. I tried looking but couldn't find a way to do it.
The only way I could think to do it is do it manually with attdef and create a defined block with the prefix area already circled.
I have several multileaders and they appear reversed and also print that way.
So I tried to modify the `standard` text style (which they use) to be 'backward' and changed the font from truetype to shx. I see no change in the existing multileaders.

The guy who used to work here made this text with a tolerance to a radius measurement. The tolerance is smaller ( no problem with that), but also adjusted to the top of the line.
I have the text style set to match text orientation to layout and it works, but when I use the same text style in mulitleader the text doesn't rotate with the layout 2013 Civil 3D

When I changed a viewport to a different scale....from 1"=1' to 3/4" =1', the text is not appearing to scale. It's very large. The Mtext changed to the correct scale but not the Multileader text. View 6 Replies View RelatedI've created tags with text below them. The text is a multline attribute. I save the block with the background mask on.
When I add these blocks to multileader styles, that setting is lost and even after creating a multileader, editing the multiline attribute and turning the mask back on, the setting will not save for some reason.
One very noticeable affect of losing the background mask is that when one is editing the multiline attribute AutoCAD leaves the original text visible and overlaying the text that is updating. This makes it nearly impossible to see the edits one is making. One has to set the background mask every time they edit that multileader if they need to change the text in the mutliline attribute.
Using AutoCAD LT 2010.
At a multileader when "automatically include landing" is set to "NO" or unchecked, then a small point (like that at the end of a dimension line) is inserted in the callout block, such as the circle, which then prints. This makes for less than clean drafting to say the least--is this normal? If so, (why?!), is there any way to NOT have those points print/show up?

Seems to do it for anything that is not left aligned. I think it was present in 2013 as well. I use multileaders for annotations a lot since it is easier to use them with the background masks and borders than mtexts.
I am having issues with an Annotative Multileader skewing at different scales. It was inserted at 3/16" (1st Image) scale and when I add a 1/4" (2nd Image) scale it becomes skewed at that scale (3rd Image the leader is highlighted to show what it looks like).

I'm looking for a way to convert leader and text that is separate into a multileader where the text is attached to the leader. We just updated to new standards using the multileader and all the old stuff is not attached.
I'm using AutoCad 2009.
When I try to create a multileader the text size is throwing me off. I draw the arrowhead location and landing with no problem, then the text box pops up. As I am typing the text into the textbox it shows up on the screen as if it was a text height of about 5, however it is actually 0.18. As soon as I click off the text box to complete the multileader the text shrinks down to the actual size of 0.18.
I want the height to be 5 but when I change it to 5 the text box shows up as huge, like it is about 200 or something even though it is actual 5. The textbox takes up most of the screen, as soon as I click of the text box to complete the multileader it shows up as a normal height of 5 and looks correct. This is so annoying. Multileader is the only tool that does this. A simple multiline text box works fine; as I am entering the text it is the same size the entire time, visually and actually.
I can't find a 'background mask' on/off toggle in the 'Multileader Style Manager' in AutoCAD 2013. In the 'Dimension Style Manager' you can easily add a background to dimension text in there but it doesn't seem to be an option for a multileader style. Did AutoCAD actually miss this?!? If so that is a huge inconsistency. I want to have a multileader style preset in a template with the background text masks on. I hope it's not something that a user needs to go and first do their multileader, then afterwards have to go and manually turn the mask on via the properties pane.
