Apr 5, 2012I have draws with a a lot of layouts.In each layout, there is a block (CARTOUCHE) with a an attribute (PAGENUMBER)
I am looking for a way to select the block in my first layout, indicates a number for my attribute (PAGENUMBER). The lisp will automatically increase the attributes of the next others layout. How can I start this lisp.
AutoCad 2D :: Dynamic Block Increasing File Size
Nov 30, 2012I've developed a dynamic block for a standard bulb flat profile cross section using parametric constraints to alter the sizes of the profile. I also made six visibility states for altering the penetration type of the profile through a construction element. It works like a charm on smaller drawings, but on a typical master sectional drawing the file size increases up to 20 or so MB given to the fact that there are over 4000 copies of the block in the one drawing (the dyn block itself is around 100 KB). This makes the drawing almost impossible to work with as you may well imagine. I uploaded the block if you want to take a look at it.
Maybe I'm missing something here because I have searched online for similar problems and found very little occurrences of the same. I tried auditing, -purging, wblock to another file, everything I could find or think of nothing seems to work. Is it just the way it is with files containing so many dynamic blocks or is there a way to make it work.

Oct 25, 2013I was fortunate to have a photo selected for a magazine cover. I never expected to use anything from this series so instead of my usual raw/22 MP defalut, I happened to be in jpeg thinking it was just for planning, etc.In any case, the image they like is 5.4 MP jpeg. They claim to need 12 MP minimum to avoid pixlelation.

I would like to understand if upsampling with this option can bring advantages (and/or cons) to the image quality, and in that case which ones, in particular for the printing of such files in A3+ and A2.

Nov 14, 2012I find myself in the unfortunate position of having to resize a lot of text by one point size. So I wanted to find the key command for decreasing the text size by 1 point. I found several things online that worked... except they decrease it by TWO points. Not one. They are:
Command Shift <
and
Command Shift .
Both work... except they decrease the font by 2 point sizes. How can I make it go down only ONE point size?
PS I'm using CS4. And I can't select all the text because I need some of it to stay as is... while reducing the size of other text. Oh, and I'm on an iMac.
Photoshop :: Image File Size Increasing When Changed To CMYK?
Aug 21, 2013When converting the colour of a Jpeg to CMYK in Photoshop CS5 the file size is increasing.
The original image is 352KB and after saving as CMYK it is 2.1MB
Why is this happening and how can I stop it?
I'm using a lot of images for a print project so need to keep file sizes small with resolution of 300dpi. The image dimensions are really small, only about 30mm high so they shouldn't be this large a file size
I am using a clipping path but this doesn't seem to be effecting file size (I checked by saving it as RGB with a clipping path which stayed small, and by saving one without a clipping path in CMYK which was huge)

GIMP :: Increasing Font Size Of Tips At Bottom Of Image Window?
Sep 7, 2013I just upgraded to GIMP 2.8.4 for Mac after spending months using an older version. At the bottom of the image window are tips for using whatever tool one is currently using. Unfortunately, these tips are TINY! I can barely see them! Is there any way to increase their size via GIMP preferences?
Note that I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to editing program code so if this is required I will need specific step by step instructions.
EDIT: Additionally, I've noticed that image windows always stay behind the toolbox and layer windows. Is there any way to reverse the ordering? (So that image windows can move in front of the toolbox/layer window?) With multiple image windows open on a small screen I need all the space I can get.

Sep 19, 2013AutoCad 2012LT was working just fine. But all of a sudden the dynamic blocks will not resize as they once did. For example, on a block that I had a stretch action I could click on the arrow and it would show the current value. I could then enter a new vlalue and it would resize. It will no longer do this but it will let me stretch it by dragging the mouse. I have also noted that if I click on a line and the hoover over the grip it no longer shows the length! Can this be related to a bad (or going bad) graphics card?

This is huge... roughly the size of one of our firm's full floor plans. Jun 28, 2012How to set up a dynamic block so I can control the size of an object through parametric dimensions that are linked (somehow) to a lookup table, spreadsheet, list, etc.?
What I'm trying to do (simplified) is place a block of a rectangle, select a size from a dropdown list, and have the block change to be that size - but I don't want to do this through visibility states as there are hundreds of sizes. The whole point is to be able to construct a list, lookup table, excel sheet, etc and link it to parametric dimensions in the block, or at least be able to link a stretch action to parametric dimensions. But the block editor will not allow me to associate a stretch action with a parametric dimension (at least I haven't figured out how to do this.)

We use the common (24x36) sheet size for all projects, but when plotting we send out half size (12x18) as well. This means the scale bar reading 1"=40' is no longer correct. It should read 1"=20'. I would like to automate this.
