Where do I set the keyboard shortcut for increasing/decreasing text size in Photoshop CS5? I know it is supposed to be Keyboard shortcuts, but I don't find it in there.
View 4 RepliesI find myself in the unfortunate position of having to resize a lot of text by one point size. So I wanted to find the key command for decreasing the text size by 1 point. I found several things online that worked... except they decrease it by TWO points. Not one. They are:
Command Shift <
and
Command Shift .
Both work... except they decrease the font by 2 point sizes. How can I make it go down only ONE point size?
PS I'm using CS4. And I can't select all the text because I need some of it to stay as is... while reducing the size of other text. Oh, and I'm on an iMac.
I would like to be able to create a box around text that is able to resize when increasing/decreasing font.
My working solution is to create a text box with text then use direct selection tool to select the anchors and convert that into a shape, either a rectangle or rounded rectangle. This isn't bad since it allows an equal amount of space around the text but it does have problems. If the font size increases or decreases, the box remains the same. I have to use the Area Type Option to resize the box. Also, if I wanted to do this for lots of boxes then I have to select all of the individual anchors which will be time consuming.
the shortcut in the mac version (CS6) for in-/decreasing the font size is apparently "Cmd + Shift + >".shortcut for windows versions? I can't find anything in the shortcut overview.

I find [decrease value 1 more] shortcut not significant enough for it changes value by 10 points, while [decrease value 1 relative] when its value is (50;100> also changes it by about 10 points and even less when its value is below about 50.
My question is: Is it possible to set two new shortcuts (increasing and decreasing) value 1 by 25 points? Is there maybe a recording option in gimp like in photoshop.
what's the shortcut, if you're working w/ the brush tool?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI keep triggering this by accident and can't figure out what combo I'm hitting, or how to disable it. I've looked in the Keyboard Shortcuts but can't find it.
I'm on a laptop keyboard, so I use the fn key a lot to access enter when I'm finished editing text. Every once in a while (but often enough to be annoying), I attempt to enter out of text editing and suddenly everything stops, the gray rotating "processing" cursor appears, and for a few seconds I'm in a mild panic about how long it's been since I saved. Then a dialog box comes up asking if I want to switch to the 3D workspace or something. Clicking "no" doesn't stop the unwanted 3D thing from happening, and the last History item then says "Extrusion from Text Layer." I then Undo and go on with what I was doing.
I've always got my left hand positioned over the lower left corner of the keyboard, and move quickly when using shortcuts and switching tools. What combination I keep hitting by accident - something with fn, ctrl, opt, cmd, shift, I don't know, plus possibly return or enter. What is it, and how do I disable it?
Well, so far I"m zero for four in trying to get LR to let me do trivial things the way I'd like, but let's give it yet another try........
I ALREADY KNOW you can use the "[" and "]" to change the size of the spot removal circle. BUT, I'm trying to get LR to work as much like Photoshop as possible 'cause the inconsistencies on small things is a surprisingly large hit to productivity.....
In PS I can change the size of the clone or heal using Alt and the mouse. Change both size AND opacity.
Is this buried somewhere in LR? If not, is there a way for me to define this command in the translatedstrings file?
Is there a keyboard shortcut to zoom the image area to the image size. Kind of like the shortcut ctrl + 0 but the reverse.

It would be really convenient to be able to shift-click several objects and toggle the visibility of them. View 9 Replies View Relatedi've managed to layer a scanned drawing (and edit it and all) over the given template... but when i drag it over, it's HUGE. so of course, i haev to decrease the size so it fits on the t shirt template...
and when i decrease the size, it gets grainy and pixilated... and i can't have that happen! especially on a t shirt design... it's supposed to be a a solid, single line...

I made an assembly of a 18 micron length section and a 2 micron length section, so that I can apply my force to the 2 micron tip, while leaving the bottom face of the wire fixed. I am trying to find the minimal force needed to fracture the wire (i.e., altering the force until the max stress hits the material's ultimate tensile strength). However, I've realized that decreasing the mesh size drastically changes my results, Obviously, decreasing mesh size should increase the accuracy of the results. Instead, by decreasing the mesh size, I actually am diverging from my results.

I never expected to use anything from this series so instead of my usual raw/22 MP defalut, I happened to be in jpeg thinking it was just for planning, etc.In any case, the image they like is 5.4 MP jpeg. They claim to need 12 MP minimum to avoid pixlelation.

Till last week the batch tool was working properly to do this action. Since yesterday, when I use the same action the batch works but the files are with 25KB (before they were between 100 to 200 bytes).

in the "Workflow Options" of Camera Raw there is the option to increase the file size by setting the Crop Size to a greater value then the native of the file itself.
I would like to understand if upsampling with this option can bring advantages (and/or cons) to the image quality, and in that case which ones, in particular for the printing of such files in A3+ and A2.
I need a picture resized (larger). But it is a very small picture and when I resize it, off course, it is not worth looking at anymore... I did capture some of the talking on vector based and pixel based, but how do I adjust the pic so I can resize it?

The most weird part is that when i tried to change the short-cuts, it won't work even though i clicked on accept and "ok". Is there a way i can turn this back? It wasn't like this when i first got this back at November.
I want Ctrl+Shift+S to do SAVE AS. I set it as such in the keyboard shortcuts, but when I do that key combo, all I get is this: The mouse pointer changes to this. I can move it around and draw a box (in the background of PS, outside any open images). I want it to go away and do SAVE AS instead.
