View 1 RepliesComing from Fireworks / Illustrator, Photoshop's layers slow down the workflow when selecting something on another layer. If I could switch layers (i.e. select the next/previous layer) with a keyboard shortcut, that might help. I've looked through the shortcuts and the best I can find is "move layer", but I don't want to alter the document.

Currently I used to do this with the mouse, tried the Ctrl-Shift but that is switching between of application tabs and not inside the document.
I have Gimp 2.8 and I am using Single-Window Mode. I have about 15 images open at the same time and I am doing repetitive tasks on each of them. I made keyboard shortcuts to do the tasks themselves but I still have to use my mouse to go up and click the next tab to start work on the next image. It would save time if there were a keyboard shortcut. I see that under the Windows menu I can use Alt+1 through Alt+0 to select any of the first 10 images, but I have 15 open.
I wanted to know if there is a keyboard shortcut to just switch to the next tab or the previous tab.
I'm working with Illustrator CS5 and was looking for the keyboard shortcut to move between the workspace elements contained within the Application framework.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI keep triggering this by accident and can't figure out what combo I'm hitting, or how to disable it. I've looked in the Keyboard Shortcuts but can't find it.
I'm on a laptop keyboard, so I use the fn key a lot to access enter when I'm finished editing text. Every once in a while (but often enough to be annoying), I attempt to enter out of text editing and suddenly everything stops, the gray rotating "processing" cursor appears, and for a few seconds I'm in a mild panic about how long it's been since I saved. Then a dialog box comes up asking if I want to switch to the 3D workspace or something. Clicking "no" doesn't stop the unwanted 3D thing from happening, and the last History item then says "Extrusion from Text Layer." I then Undo and go on with what I was doing.
I've always got my left hand positioned over the lower left corner of the keyboard, and move quickly when using shortcuts and switching tools. What combination I keep hitting by accident - something with fn, ctrl, opt, cmd, shift, I don't know, plus possibly return or enter. What is it, and how do I disable it?
Where do I set the keyboard shortcut for increasing/decreasing text size in Photoshop CS5? I know it is supposed to be Keyboard shortcuts, but I don't find it in there.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to add a keyboard shortcut or marking menu shortcut for visibility? It would be really convenient to be able to shift-click several objects and toggle the visibility of them. I have a mouse with numerous buttons that are mapped to commonly used IV features, but I cannot find a way to map a visibility toggle.
View 9 Replies View Relatedwhen using keyboard short cuts to swap between tools ps cs6 now defaults to only a "temporary switch" i.e. it reverts back to the previously selected tool imediatly after I release the key. I can not get the tool to stick on the new selection unless I use the mouse to manually select the new tool.
How do I stop this from happening? I want to use short cuts to switch between tools and have it stick.
I have looked else where in the forums and have not found a solution that has worked. Checked that my keyboard is in the proper language, reinstalled photoshop, and double checked every setting I can think of, all to no avail.
This is a new problem, I have not made any recent hardware changes, everything had worked fine until today.

I want Ctrl+Shift+S to do SAVE AS. I set it as such in the keyboard shortcuts, but when I do that key combo, all I get is this: The mouse pointer changes to this. I can move it around and draw a box (in the background of PS, outside any open images). I want it to go away and do SAVE AS instead.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have my primary tablet pen button bound to alt for the eyedropper tool, and often press [ and ] to change the brush size. Sometimes I hit alt and [ or ] together, which causes the active layer to switch up or down. It happens a lot and gets frustrating, especially if I don't notice immediately notice the active layer has changed.
The question is, how do I remove the alt+[ and alt+] bindings? They're not listed under the Edit - Keyboard Shortcut options and I can't find them anywhere else either.
I've tried a number of ways round it but the only one that remotely works is to change the brush size keys themselves.
In PS CS6 you could hide a selection with command h. In PS CC that no longer works. What is the new keyboard equivalent.

View 4 Replies View Relatedwhen I go into "Save for web and devices" the buttons where save, cancel, and preview should be are cut off. Expanding the page doesn't work either. I checked Adobe's resolution requirements and mine are up to par as far as I know. Escape takes me back to my window and enter/return will save it, but so far nothing to preview it. It's frustrating because I use the preview in browser feature often. I just switched to Mac from PC about a month ago and never had this problem on my Dell. I'm running CS.5 on the Lion OS.
Also, is there a way to create a new keyboard shortcut for this if one doesn't already exist? I tried exploring it for myself but I didn't see an option to create one for the preview in browser feature, or even how to make a new one.
I'm on a Win7, 64bit, with CS6 (13.0 (13.0 20120315.r.428 2012/03/15:21:00:00). The keyboard shortcut to bring up the Canvas resize menu is ctl+alt+c. That combination does nothing. If I add the Windows key to the combo, then it will bring up the Canvas resize menu. Could others check to see if it works for them or have I found another bug?
