I recently had to re install my copy of Autocad2008 so it has been stripped back to basics.
Basically what I am after is I want to be able to click on a layer and see what layer it is on. I used to have a window on the title bar which would let me do this and I could then click into that window to change any layers. How to get that layer window back into my title bar?

However, when the state of window the window is changed the text is re over to the document full name. I also use the AcadDocument WindowChanged event,but it is not use.
The "title bar" (with the red yellow green circle icons) is missing on my Photoshop Elements 11 window. It used to be there and I used it to move the picture window up to my secondary display; that way I can keep the command windows on my Macbook screen and they don't cover the picture. How to get the title bar back? I've looked under the view and window menu items and can't find anything. I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it looks like some information was maintained after the de-install. The window came back to the same size it was before the uninstall.
View 7 Replies View RelatedWe have a title block and border which is used in MS. If this is referenced using AMTITLE then it acts as expected. We issue these to some external people to create our drawings but they have been using CTRL-C and V to place them in a new drawing. ACAD does now not see them as a Title block or border but as blocks. We have a process to bring DWG's into SAP and this will check for a title block and border.
The issue is we need to fix these drawings and currently this means removing the borders and title blocks and placing new ones then adding all the attributes again. Is there a way to convert the blocks back to how they should be?

View 2 Replies View Relatedim working on a PC , with windows 7, with photoshop CS5 i searched everywhere for answer , but none was given.. people did mention this problem, but for different photoshop versions , and, i had it good till i dont know what happened and changed it, so i believe it is fixable but people understood it wrong.
anyhow, the problem is, when you try to maximize the image window (assuming you changed it from tabs), the window maximize all over the screen, over the tools and title bar.
instead of staying inside the workspace.as i mentioned, it used to be like it , but something happened and now its all over the thing.i tried double click the hand tool, all sort of things with the "F" and Tab shortcuts, the arrange documents thing on the top, even trying to restore default setting but nothing really did the trick.
i tried to look for something called "Application frame", that somehow suppose to do just that, under window->Application frame, but its not there. again, it used to be ok so i know there is still hope..
here it is restored, under "fit screen" option, notice it only get the hight right, i would not call it "fit screen" but what ever..
red circels show the title bar and tools..
and this is when i hit the maximize button and unleash hell, red circles are where the title bar and tools were, not so nice and cool..
i noticed none of the others gave pictures, so i gave it a go..there are no words to describe how annoying it is.
I have somehow pressed a wrong button, and have switched my color-picking pallatte to a new one that I don't particulaly care for (see images); is there a way to revert back to the old color picking pallatte?

View 0 Replies View RelatedI have greenscreen footage, where a green screen was put on a window with tracking markers. A person is moving in front of it, so you can see the reflection. If I just key it and put a garbage mask around it, I can get rid of the green and the tracking markers, but how can i get the reflections back now? Cause if I just screen the original desaturated part back on, you can still see the tracking markers.... Is the only way to first paint over the markers and then screen it back on, or is there another way? I'm on Smoke for mac 2012.

Is there a way to revert back to the original colors of an xref besides having to reattach the xref and purging the DWG.
I always change the colors of the projects Existing site/utilty XREF to color 252 to shade it back to have the proposed show up darker. But I try to select all layers to change the colors back to what they were before and the box to set color by layer is not available.
Every time I create a new layer, name it, asign a color, linetype, etc...it defaults back to the original color, making me set it twice. Am I missing a setting somewhere?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a need to send files saved from Inventor.dwg to AutoCAD.dwg to suppliers, however due to the quantity of files "size", I need to purge them in Autocad before I e-mail. The problem I have is that my template Inventor.dwg is 1 mg due to Sketch Symbols, plus added file size for the views etc. When I get to Autocad to purge them, my Sketch Symbols and Title Block is on the "0" Layer. I have to select everything that is on the "0" Layer and change the layer to a different layer to start a LISP routine that does a, Erase All, Purge All, to get my file size down. I have not found a way to change the layer that Sketch Symbols are created on or reside on by default or Title Block either.
Any way to do this Inside the Sketch Symbols, inside the Title Block, using the styles, anything?
I am just now going through a iLogic course and read that Layers can be hidden. Can iLogic be used to change the layer of "SketchSymbols" or "TitleBlocks" and or used to purge all Sketch Symbols during the SaveAs to Autocad.dwg process?
When I am trying to label an object, surface slope, elevation or lot line distance my text reverts back to layer 0. I have checked the Label style composser and have everything that I see set to the layer I want it on. When creating the label I am even physically on the proper layer but when I make the label it still goes to 0.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIn ACLT 2008, I was able to resize the window in the layer properties manager to what was convenient for me. In ACLT 2010, I am unable to change either the size or the position of the window. The same is true of the Design center window. Is this something that is permanently changed, or is there maybe a fix coming to allow this convenience in the future? Or have I missed some system variable which controls this?

View 1 Replies View Relatedi am using Acad 2005 for two years. since now i started to use acad 2010. i did find the difference in layer isolation in 2005 if you do layer isolation, only the particular layer visible. then can be select all of them in one window. without disturbing other layers. but in 2010 while i isolate a layer, other layers also visible in the backround. when i select the isolated layer in one window, also the backround layers also getting selected.

I have a ton of seamless images I want to make most into tile in this or that project but I don't want to make them all into .pat files because I hate hunting up .pat files plus if I am in the middle of a project with 25 layers. I want to simple pull in the image I want and use it without having to close everything to make a pat file then reopen the project I am on and have to hunt down my pat file to load it to use.
Now I have moved on to using 3D > New Title Painting which works great on a simple layer I need to turn a seamless tile into a pattern for that one project. However I am having one problem. Say I am working on a project where all the layers must be 2500 x 2500 pixels (for example) and I pull in an images onto one of the layers. Can I do one of the two:
Can I set photoshop cs5 to let me have different size layers in one project so the title paint can see image size it wants?
Can I set the title painter to have it set my layer size?
The problem I have is when I pull in a seamles image into a layer then make it a smart shape so I can resize it, make it smaller, then use title painter it makes spaces between the tiles.
I've downloaded gimp 2.6 recently and everything about it is great besides the fact that I dont have a layer box. I've tried all the tricks that people say, press ctrl + L or go to windows>recently closed docs.... When I tried recently closed docs it says empty.

Realitivly new to 2013, upgraded from 2007.
We will alter the Arch Base CAD file layer colors to a muted color for use as our backgorounds. We would sort the Layers by color, so that we could group them together to one base color, so basically layer colors 10-19 would then become 19, 20-29 would be 29, layer colors 30-39 would be 39, etc... If the colors were one of the 9 Base Colors (Red, Yellow, Green...) Red is effectivly the same as color as 10, so then we would make it 19, etc...
In 2007, even thought the sorting was by layer color, the layers rows would remain in the same location until we applied the changes. But in 2013, if we sort by color then alter the color, the layer row will automatically be re-sorted to its proper position in comparison to all other colors. OK I get that, but, if we are altering 40, 50, 60 layer colors, that auto re-sorting is annoying, because then we need to rescroll to our last location to continue.
So, is there a way to turn off the re-sort until we APPLY the colors.
I'm having issues with my text editor. I have just completed a multilayered composite image with a border and want to add a title on the background layer and can't get the type font to be anything other than very tiny...so I can't even see it.

How to make a master layer in x5 and move it behind all other layers in all pages at once?
If your answer includes going to the object manager and moving it on all the pages, don't bother. I'm not doing it for 400 pages.

I cannot go back and edit a text layer. There appears to be no way to re-edit text once you move off of the text area during it's creation. Am I missing something? Is there a great plugin to fix this deficit?

I already have an iLogic rule which allows the user to change the active border, title block and sheet size based on a form selection but would like it to capture the prompted entries already entered and re-use them after the change.
