I have a line and an arc which are offset to each other. How do I fillet between the arc and the line. Every time I try to do it, it doesn't give the solution I want. I have attached a file which will show you what I mean. I want to fillet between the horizontal white line and white arc with a unit size of 6 so that the result is as shown by the red arc.
Autocad 2012 LT. I can't fillet between an existing line and arc. The line's start Z is 0 as well as middle and end are 0. The arc is the same....but still it says they are non coplaner and will not fillet.
In another area of the drawing, I draw an arc and a line and they will fillet just fine..... This is weird....
I have gone back in to the properties and even though the say that the Z is 0, I type "0" in again and then it will fillet.....
I have a little issue with drawings where I cannot find out how to highlight fillet edges on the models. I dare say I am missing some simple setup option.
The picture attached shows what I mean. The left is how the model looks in drawing mode and on the right is how I would like it to look (taken from the modelling environment).
Fillet works fine on a single curve and straight lines, but I'm having trouble using the fillet command on two curves (arcs). I have two circles which I have trimmed into arcs roughly to the correct length, when I try to fillet them (with various radii) the filleted curve either connects to the wrong end of one of the existing curves, or the filleted curve curves in the wrong direction. I've used this tool a lot before and have never had problems - until now. Is there a way to decide which way the fillet curves?
How to automatically set the corner bend radius of a sweep along a 3D polyline?
The attached image shows what I did in a different program, but need to repeat with AC. The swept 3D object is moved off its path in the attached image.
I'm having a problem with the fillet command using a radius, I can't seem to get a rounded corner. I have the radius set at 1.00. I should see a rounded corner. If I set it at 0.00 or 1.00. I get the same result. Something doesn't seem right! Could it be a setting.
I viewed a few videos on Youtube and I can't replicate the same filet with radius results. I watched one that you can select radius by right clicking mouse. A text box appears to the right of the cross hair cursor where you can input the radius. On my screen that does not come up.
How to set chamfer and Fillet. I have tried but just can not get it to do anything.
I may have maladjusted some other setting. Operator error for sure. I do not need to use these functions for anything else but the 3 shown in the attachment.
I have AutoCAD Map 3D 2013. Sometimes the fillet preview doesn't work. The fillet preview is supposed to work like this:
After setting the radius of the fillet, click on one line.
Move the cursor to other line to be filleted and wait for the preview of the fillet to appear. If the preview of the fillet looks good, click on other line to create the fillet. If the preview of the fillet doesn't look good, change the radius of the fillet and try again.
I think that there is a variable that needs to be set.

How do i make the 3mm fillet go in the other direction. When i apply the fillets to the top of the pipes it goes inwards but i want the fillet to go outwards.(like a weld - i don`t want to weld though just use a fillet).
Is there a way to create smooth transitions for fillet welds for around corners?I have to create four separate fillet welds on all sides of the mating pieces and it breaks at the corners.
What kind of fillet i need for relax the edges in a eccentric reducer pipes's fitting, i can use fillet of faces for the sircular edge smaller , but am in troubles with the bigger .
I am used to entering my fillet radius dimensions in the command line with [F]illet, [R]adius, then entering a value.
However with 2014 an extra prompt has been added (or enabled) which would mean the path was [F]illet, [D]imension, [Radius], value. I was getting frustrated with this and tried fiddling with the settings ([F]illet, [S]ettings) but could not sort it, and now when I do go to enter a dimension the only option I am left with is to "Select fillet arc", meaning I have lost the ability to enter a value in the command line.
How do I regain the ability to enter a numerical value for a radius?
I am working on a project for an autocad class and have run into a snag. I have to fillet a box but the rounded edge is on the inside instead of being on the outside. I'm attaching a screen shot of a 2-d version and the 3-d I have so far.
I have a problem I am using Autocad lite 2011 and need to draw if you can picture a column with a 15 mm deep fillet 42 mm wide which has a ramp and twist applied to it spiraling all the way up it. How do i go about this.
We are trying to apply a chamfer / fillet, anywhere betwen 0.5mm - 1.00mm, to the attached ACAD 2004 / ACAD 2012, 3D model, along the edges connectiing from the existing chamfer / fillet, up each side to the top - where you will see there is no chamfer / fillet - (the outside of the cup profile,Attachment 34929 Attachment 34928not the inside of the cup profile).
That resolved the problem, the software struggled a bit with filleting till we tried a smaller degree, then it worked - we thought it would automatically fillet (flow) in / out according to what dims were available.
ACA 2013: We have notice that autodesk has added a quick preview for fillet and offset. It shows what the fillet is going to look like or what the offset is going to be. Is there a way to turn this off?
