Jul 14, 2013Is there a way to draw center line of a pipe, trench etc.. and when drawn the line apply the width-height-depth or circumference?

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Creating Pipe Trench On Surface?
Sep 30, 2013creating pipetrench1 on my surface.
Currently, I wanna make an alignment from a 16-inch pipe, which will then be positioned inside a trench.
I have tried several times to generate the corridor, but turned out failing.
Im guessing that i had inserted some parameters wrongly.

Jul 6, 2012I'm trying to create a trench with pipe corridor along the alignment.
What I've did:
-create an alignment;
-create a pipe nework based on my alignment;
-then I made a profile with my pipe network and draw profile;
-create an assembley;
-create a corridor with one baseline.
When I've checked the corridor I found some weird spotes that are linked to zero elevation.
I've created another alignment from daylight of my corridor, but it doesn't worked.
Where mistake is???

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Project Crossing Pipe Onto Road Center Line
Apr 24, 2012I need to project a crossing pipe onto a road centerline. I have water running down one side of the road 7' off the centerline of the road and sewer running down the other 8' off the centerline. There is storm drain running perpendicular across the road.
The sewer and the water are projected onto the centerline of road profile. When I draw the crossing pipes in that profile view and change the override, because it does not cross the centerline, it disappears from the profile view. How can I accurately show the crossing at the proper invert of the respective crossing without drawing the ellipses manually?

Mar 26, 2009I am looking to draw my pipe with a thicker appearance than the typical line of width "0". Our storm pipes are usually drawn with this so as to stand out from other utilities. If the pipe is represented by a polyline, I have usually adjusted the "Width" or "Global Width" value to my liking. With pipe objects, it seems more complicated. I have searched the settings, and the closest thing that I could find was the Lineweight property, but that appears to have no effect on the line thickness in the CAD drawing.
Do I need to tweak a plot setting? Make a new linetype altogether?

Feb 22, 2012I have an FDO layer which I am styling like so:

', FDO_LAYER2 ) )
This layer is styled so that all text is centered. In this case, FDO_LAYER2 is having it's text left aligned. I'm pretty sure this is due to the method I am using for a new line. Is there something else I can use to break the line and maintain the center styling?
Using a second point for FDO_LAYER2 is not an option.
AutoCAD Inventor :: Cursor Change To Draw Line But Line Doesn't Appear
Dec 5, 2011I have a problem with a recently downloaded version of Inventor. When I start a new drawing all I get is a blank blue screen instead of one with a grid display. If I start a line I can see the cursor change to draw the line but a line does not appear. I don't know if it something with how I installed the program or just system settings.

Nov 3, 2011I have created custom pipe fitting categories in my server based content center. I copied the standard familes over to a custom library and modified them. After updating the family tables, and hitting refresh in an assembly, the updates fail.
This is the error I get:
Failed: Standard is owned by Tube&Pipe. The part must be refreshed by Tube&Pipe application.
These parts were placed via "Place from content center" as I do not have the tube & pipe addin (2011 suite, not pro)
How do I get these compnonents to update / refresh??

Apr 13, 2013I don’t know if there is some way to draw, or somehow to say to AutoCad that it let me to input measurements from line but not from main base pint.
For example in Revit I can make angular dimension between lines and then apply any angle that I want, maybe AutoCad has such tool?

2. So ya that one was easy.. hows bout when i want to cut something out ACCURATELY, the pen function, right? (according to a friend)when i make all those little boxes and select the area i want to cut, all that gets copied are the outer lines, which i presume is what ive just drawn.. how do i cut the area inside this?
3. and finally maybe a slightly less easy one- In Paint, when you cut out an object and paste it, you can select for the white of the image to become transparent so you can paste over what you have already.. is thee a feature in PS for this?
