Regarding the use of the 360 mobile app:
I am a site planner/landscape architect in need of displaying autocad site plans on my ipad / iphone. This is possible through 360, but the limit on file size and xrefs is not allowing me to get all of my info viewable. Also, I am in need of inserting aerial imagery so that I may be able to track my location on site via GPS.
Is there any AUTO CAD SDK package available to do 3D programming that can run on IPAD/IPhone. If there is, what type developing tools can be used?
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy current website has Flash-based galleries created in LR using SlideShowPro. I want to create an alternate web gallery for viewing on the iPad and iPhone. Any LR web gallery plug-in for this purpose? If possible, I'd like the gallery to work the way the iPhone Camera Roll works, but at very least, I'd like viewers to be able to simply flick their way through the images.SlideShowPro Director does this, but I'm not quite ready to take on its complexity.)

I created my resume with horizontal lines to divide the sections, work history, education for example. When I exported the file as a PDF, it opens beautifully in Adobe Reader. However, when I open it on my iPad or iPhone, those lines are missing! What can I do to make those lines appear when I am viewing on my iPad?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've never used AutoCAD before but I'm trying to make a site plan. I attached a picture of the property I'm trying to make a site plan of. Basically, it's a building that 59' by 92' that has a fenced in yard that is roughly a rectangle. I'd like to fit the site plan on regular 8.5"x11" sheet of paper. I know how to draw lines but don't know how to make them the right lengths. It doesn't need to be perfect with angles but I'd like to make it look nice with like a border and titles and such. I've been trying to read up on how to do it but I just get overwhelmed.

View 9 Replies View Relateda civil engineer sent us a .dwg file for a site survey. However, the .dwg contours are just showing up as a series of overlapping rectangles. He attached two .txt files, one for elevation point locations, the other for tree locations. Both give coordinates... i.e. :452,2718.7202,2509.7896,569.4979,GL etc. I know that the .txt file is giving locations, but I do not know how to generate plines etc. from the given coordinates in the .txt file. I downloaded ascponit.lsp, but i'm not sure if this is meant for this...

how to use Civil 3D to create a grading plan for a solar PV site or a golf course?
Here is the situation. We have a large 100 acre site that is not flat. We want to do minimal grading to "smooth out the surface". So that maximum slope on the site is 10%. The site does not have to be graded completely flat. We are trying to work with the existing contours and terrain as much as possible.
Is there some functiion or some way for Civil 3D to "smooth out a surface"? We want to work with the existing slopes and contours of the site and just need a grading plan that will smooth out mounds, holes, or high slope areas.
I have a finished 2D autocad drawing but I want to use the proposed elevations and change the ones in the google maps import.Does Civil 3D have it built in?

I'm having an issue with JPG attachments. In this case, we are attaching a reference civil site plan drawing. The image correctly appears in the sheet, and even in the "preview" window while exporting to DWF. However, the DWF file does not show the image. Is this a hidden export setting or a view setting in Design Review?

I put the first floor plan as underlay, and selected the RCP projection but I don't see the dropped ceiling lines to select them with the linework command. View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm running several flavors of AutoCAD.I installed some add-ins from the Exchange site into vanilla AutoCAD.Now they are showing up in Map, but each on it's own individual Add-Ins tab.I now have 7 Add-Ins and 1 Plug-Ins tabs.
1 - I didn't think the add-ins would work in anything but vanilla AutoCAD (or is it you just can't access them through Exchange?).
2 - is there a way to get them all on one tab (I tried in the CUI but didn't get it to work)?
I am looking to site a viewport within a block in order to control its presence with visibility states. Is there any way of doing this and maintaining the ability to enter mspace through the viewport?
Or is there another way of controlling its presence (like visibility states)? I basically need to give the option of either a portion of the title block showing a site location plan OR a section furnished with an mtext box to add general notes.
I have changed the model to show new areas and coloured them in. They show up on the Model, but not on the set up Site Layout that you print. I can highlight part for the drawing and it will print with the changes. However, if I require the whole drawing the Site Layout prints without the changes. What do I need to do?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded to x4 from x2. Using x4, if I render to the iphone h.264 640x480 template, rendering seems to complete normally, progress bar goes to 100%, but after that no file is created and no file plays (if autoplay is checked).
I experimented with making a custom h.264 template, and found that this always happens if audio is aac 48000. If I change to 44100, everything works.
But I'd like to be able to use 48000.
i've been able to import photos directly from my iphone by plugging my phone into the USB/iPhone cable (and then into my mac) and then doing "Import Photos from Device" and my iPhone would appear with the standard grid of photos. Ive imported a thousand photos or so from my phone that way.
when i plugged my phone in and tried to import my photos, in LR 4.1 (not 4.2), many of the new photos said "no preview available". I thought that was odd, so i thought i'd disconnect and then reconnect the phone.
At that point, the import screen says "no photos found".The photos are still available on the phone itself, but not in LR. I rebooted and upgraded to LR4.2, but still i'm getting the same thing.
