AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Way To Create Parts List For HDPE Pipes

Sep 19, 2012

Any way to create a parts list for HDPE pipes where instead of a  manhole connecting different pipe sections will run continuously with coupling and elbows and it will connect to other pipe segments using wyes. Is this possible? The pipe should be able to bend either horizontally or vertically like any HDPE pipe. Any HDPE library?

My other question is once I have the layout of the pipe is it possible to calculate the trench excavation and backfilling?

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Create A Table That Will Incorporate Info From Structures And Pipes

I am trying to create a table that will incorporate info from structures and pipes.  In C3d 2010 I want to make a CB chart which will show the pipe size, starting structure and invert. I would also like to include the CB rim elevation but that would be under the structure table.  Is there any way I can combine the RIm elevation with  the pipe table?

AutoCAD LT :: Create Linetype With Text?

Jun 7, 2012

Currently in process of a quick fix, trying to create a linetype that should place a number in between the lines.

*One, Places 1 in between lines A,5000,-50,["1",CompatecStandard,U=0,Y=-125],-150

That's as far as I've gotten and it pretty much does what I want it too, but right now it is set to 5000mm before it makes a gap with a number. I would like that gap to be dependent on the length of the line... is that possible?

For example, if the line is only 4000mm I want the gap to be after 2000 instead of 5000.

AutoCad 2D :: Create A Custom Linetype For A Drawing

May 28, 2013

I want to create a custom linetype for a drawing but am unsure of the best method to use. I only need this linetype for 1 drawing and so I would like it embedded in that drawing if possible. Other people may need access to this file so sending a custom file is out of the question.

Should I create a new .lin file or edit the default acad.lin?

I started to create one using Express Tools and when it prompted me to create / save a new .lin file it defaulted to the 'C:Program FilesAutodeskAutoCAD 2012 - English' folder. I was unsure if to save it here or 'C:Program FilesAutodeskAutoCAD 2012 - EnglishUserDataCacheSupport', where ACAD's .lin is stored.

AutoCad 3D :: Pipes Won't Go Through Each Other

Jul 20, 2012

I've managed to reproduce it in 3D using AutoCAD 2007 (attached). I need to know what the cross section or the intersection ends of the pipes are. I'm planning to print the view paste it on an actual pipe and have it cut (sort of like sheet metal development). These pipes won't go through each other but be welded instead. I also have downloaded LITIO software to aid me in getting the development views but I am not sure if the angles I enter are correct due to the complexity of the design.

I've split the pipe in the drawing to see if that forces flanges to appear, but nothing.

Do I need to create the flanges seperately and then add them to the end of pipes?

When I click "draw parts in profile" it places both structures and the pipe, but in reality only a portion of the pipe crosses the alignment. I'd like to only display portions of pipes that cross the alignment at a fixed width form that alignment, say 2' to each side of it.

I can't seem to figure out a way to do this--I can effect changes to all networks, but not invididual pipes.
