I have a drawing with a table on it that I need other people to be able to fill in. As they don't have access to AutoCAD I thought the best way would be to copy it into word and add the table in there. My problem is I can only get the contents of a viewport to copy if the visual style is set to 2d wireframe using the COPYLINK command. I need to use conceptual and a custom visual style. WMFOUT, JPGOUT and BMPOUT are the same as well. PDFs export ok but I'm having trouble copying to word through that.
Copy and pasting from the AutoCAD to the Word keeping the scale,
I’m wondering if there is a way to copy/paste or export, etc the drawings from the AutoCAD to the MS Word such that the scale of the drawings is kept correct.
We used Furix BetterWMF 2013 to copy our drawings from AutoCAD 2013 to Word 2007. Never had a problem till we upgraded to 2013 for both products. Now when we paste the drawing into Word (for our product manuals) any Ohm symbols turn into Question marks.
I'm assuming the problem is not AutoCAD, as it displays correctly there. Any problems with Ohm symbols in general in AUtoCAD 2013.
How to export the .dwg file to Microsoft WORD as a base/background for further word processing on top? Is there any direct way to convert the file that can use in WORD?
I've got an OLE work document spec that is 2 pages formatted correctly in MS word. When i link in the second page the formatting resets to the beginning in the .dwg file, but is retaining it's correct format in the linked word document. For example the 2nd page in the word doc starts at 2.9.....but is displaying 1.1 in the dwg file....is there a command to stop the reset of 1.1?
I have architectural desktop 2011, my supervisor would like me to attach PDF and/or JPG to an attribute (or make an attribute that will call-up a JPG). I do not think this is possible, So…if it is correct that this cannot be done how can one place a word to a DWG and then ‘hyperlink’ it to a folder or an individual JPG? so I can click on the word int he DWG CAD and it will then pop up the JPG...
I want to create a label with a textbox (myabe) in which i will write by my keyboard a word. After that i want to press the "Enter" button and the programm do this simple thing...."SPELL" each letter of my word, an activate a specific command each time and in my case a specific RULE from iLogic.
For example, i wanna whrite my name.....NIKOS....and after pressing the ENTER button, firstly my programm read the letter "N" and trigger the Rule1....After a specific time (that i want to defined by myself, probably with a timer) the programm read the right next letter which is "I" and activate the next Rule2...Until the last letter where it will end.
I should note here that i already have the code that i can calling as Rule i wish. But i dont know how to use it for my job....
The code is the following...
Dim iLogicAuto As Object Set iLogicAuto = GetiLogicAddin(ThisApplication) If (iLogicAuto Is Nothing) Then Exit Sub
Dim doc As Document Set doc = ThisApplication.ActiveDocument
Can I export (copy) text from CAD to excel or word and be able to edit? I have pasted from CAD to both but the past was not like I wanted. It was in a window and not individual text lines.
I am trying to insert a multi-page table created in word but am only getting the first page once inserted..... short of converting each page into a PDF then inserting.
Im trying to link mtext in an acad drawing to a word document. For example, when I write a legal description based on a drawing, in word, I want the text that I am referencing in the drawing to be linked. In other words, if I change the text in the drawing, it will automatically change the text in the word doc.
I'm using Autocad 2013 and have problems when I want to copy some text from Word file. I'm doing that because translating text, which is translated already in Word. I.e., I have a text written in English in Autocad and now I have to select it all, and paste text copied from Word. It changes color (now it's "by Block"), but I change it back to "by Layer; and changes it's style even if in Word it is the same style as in Autocad (it is Arial in Word and in Autocad, but when I paste copied text it is in Times New Roman.
Is there anything to set up not to change this text, because I have a lot of copy/pasteing to do and would save me a lot of time?
I have tried copying/pasting into word from AutoCAD and the quality is not good, very distorted.
I have also tried WMFOUT and didn't like the quality either when pasting into Word.
My best option has been to plot and save as a .jpg, and the quality is great except the black lines turn grey and I really need it to be black. Is there a way to make it look black?
I was telling an engineer the other day that I could probably insert his general notes from MS Word into AutoCAD and create nice clean pdf files of the CD sheets that he could email to clients. On second inspection I could tell that, yes I could copy, paste it in, but fixing all the formatting would be a nightmare. Is there any way to retain the formatting such as numbering, tabs etc. when bringing it in to AutoCAD? The idea is to have it be an editable document, so I don't want to just bring it in as a OLE object, pdf or scan.
I am running AutoCad LT 2005 and have had no problems copying and pasting drawings into Word, and then double clicking to edit them if needed in AutoCad.
I have recently had DWG TrueView 2011 installed on my machine and it has taken over the associations with CAD drawings in a Word document, so that I cannot edit them.
how to change the associations back to AutoCad LT for CAD drawings in MS Word ?
I have the following code that lets me copy a selection and paste it to another area a given distance away. I now need to paste it into another file but have had no success after searching for help online.
Dim SP1sel1(0 To 2) As Double Dim SP1sel2(0 To 2) As Double Dim SP1copy1(0 To 2) As Double Dim SP1copy2(0 To 2) As Double Dim objSS As AcadSelectionSet 'Dim str0pt As String 'Dim lngMode As Long [code]...
I am using R14 which suits my hobby needs which are drawing model parts for photo-etching. I have started a new drawing for which I need parts from an earlier drawing.
The only way I have found to complete this task is copying to the clipboard, then pasting to the new drawing. I then find that I have an assembly rather than a collection of lines and circles etc and modification is not possible, eg, substituting a larger diameter or deleting one part of the drawing.
I want to insert a word document with several pages in autocad by the OLE OBJECT function. The problem is the insert only the first page. How to follow the other pages?
We have a word file that we use a lot for our drawings. There is an empty file that we open and then save the file into the same directory as the drawing.
I am trying to setup some code that will open the empty Word File, and then bring up the Word Save As dialog box with the correct directory and file name already completed. The correct directory and File name will be determined by the Drawing Code.
I have been able to open the Empty Word Document from iLogic with the following
I have been able to Open the Empty Word File from VBA and then bring up the Word Save As Dialog Box but I cannot work out how to define the initial directory or the initial file name from Inventor.
This is the VBA Code I have been using top open the Empty Word File and Show the Word Save As Dialog Box:
Public Sub OpenCRSDoc1() 'Don't Forget to Add the Word Object Library in the Tools - References ' Call SetCRSDetails
[Code].....
If you try to use the With Command for the FilePicker it will just open the Word Document and NOT the Save As Dialog Box!!!
Example of the With Tried
With FilePicker .InitialDirectory = "Z:" .DialogTitle = "Hello" .Show End With
How to open a Word Document from either iLogic or VBA (VBA Preferred) and then open the Word Save As Dilog Box and define the Initial Directory and Filename?
how to export attribute data from a block to a MS Word document template. I am looking to create a check sheet for a drawing, i.e. open a drawing, click a button and a check sheet will be printed out that the operator can complete and sign. However all the drawing info from the title block would already be complete (extracted from the titleblock block attributes).
I just recently was upgraded to C3D 2013 and I am designing my first road using the software. I've been having all sorts of fun and frustrations with Corridors and Cross Sections and learning slowly, but its all the little things that keep bogging me down.
One of the problems I have run into is when I use the Code Set label for Grade/Slope in Cross Sections I get label that reads -2.00% and then the word "Vertical". Is there an easy way to get rid of the word "Vertical" in every one of my 90+ Cross Sections? I checked under Label Style and it seems the only option is {Link Grade} which is what puts the Slope and Vertical. I mean what is the purpose in that word even appearing? I know that I can right click on the label and change visibility to False and it won't show, but I shouldn't have to do that for 90+ Cross Sections. Also I've seen the word "Horizontal" labeled as well and I don't want that word to show either.
The spell check works, almost. when I type a word that spell check does not recognize, I get the red underline, but when I choose to add it to dictionary, no dice. if I ignore, close the editor and reopen, the red underline is there.
