AutoCad :: Wblock And Copy / Paste Clip Not Working
Nov 26, 2008I am using ACAD 2000. My wblock and copyclip commands are not working only in one specific drawing. I am working in modelspace.
When I wblock it lets me select the objects and assign a file to save the objects to. When I hit OK it gives me no error but no file is created.
When I copyclip it gives me no error, but when I pasteclip, nothing happens.
I tried saving the drawing as something else. This drawing simply won't let me copyclip or wblock. I can use the copy command to make multiple copies of the object in question within the drawing. I tried restarting my PC and this particular drawing still has the same problem. Other drawings are fine.

Oct 5, 2011When I copyclip a dimension from one drawing with UCS set to world/north, then paste into another drawing with UCS rotated in Z (south for example), the text remains oriented to north. The original drawing doesn't have to be set to world, just something different from the paste orientation.
Is there a way to have the text orient itself to the current UCS at paste?
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Copybase On A Surface Crashes 2013?
May 17, 2012Whenever I try to do a COPYBASE on a surface, C3D 2013 crashes. I can do the same steps in 2012 with no problem, but in 2013 I get a fatal error everytime.

AutoCad :: PDFCLIP Command To Clip Underlayed PDF
Oct 10, 2012I am trying to use the PDFCLIP command to clip an underlayed PDF. The problem is, I am trying to clip multiple sections from this PDF and am struggling to do so. I select the underlay, select Create Clipping Boundary, select the polyline I want to use and invert it and it clips out the area. When I try to do this again, it won't let me keep the existing boundary and create another one. It seems like I can only crop one area at a time?

I use this often to compare the same point in time for an offline to online clip. I can open the timecode input window, and manually enter the timecode from one clip to another, but I can't seem to find the copy and paste commands that will use that timecode as the input.

Sep 25, 2012After copying a value in clipboard like "1566.78" when I want to draw a line while my cursor is on my drawing space I write "0," and then hit "Ctrl+v" it draws line point on "0,1566.78". But this is not working fine in my home Cad, When I draw a line in same procedure and when I hit "Ctrl+v" after writing "0," it pastes the value "1566.78" as a text.
To do this right I have to click on command line to draw a point but in office I don't have to click on command line. I also import the office profile *.ARG in home Cad but still not working.

I want to paste text (numbers) into the command line as I am drawing a line.
In AutoCad 2011/2012 if I paste (CTRL+V), then the numbers in the clipboard will be pasted into the command line and all I have to do is push enter.
In AutoCad 2014 if I paste (CTRL+V), AutoCad will paste the clipboard contents as an mtext object into the drawing.
How do I change the behavior of AutoCad so that I can use "CTRL+V" in the command line?
For clarification these are the exact steps I am trying to do:
1. {type L}
2. {click a point in the drawing}
3. {type CTRL+V} // paste a number as a distance into command line
4. {type ENTER}
I know I can right click the command line and select paste. This option is unnacceptable for my use. I want to be able to CTRL+V text into the command line.

Dec 17, 2012I rarely paste entities using ctrl-v, I use the WTIT.lsp commands instead, or edit pulldown to paste entities.
I want a CTRL-V to paste to command line, always, no matter what.
I tried killing the keyboard shortcuts through the CUI, but that just stopped ctrl-v from doing anything when I was not on command line.

So my problem is, I want to copy something from one drawing and paste it into another drawing, however, when I copy over my lines/polylines etc, it comes into the new drawing as one straight line, I assume it is in some other orthographic projection to my current drawing, and I don't know how to change it (rotate it?) to suit the current drawing....

Oct 1, 2011I regularly use CTL-C & CTL-V to move objects from one drawing to another. That is I used to but now it's broken. When I select objects and use CTL-C, the command line says "_copyclip x found" (where "x" is the number of objects). I then go to another drawing and use CTL-V whereupon the command line says "_pasteclip" but I get no opportunity to select a base point and nothing more happens. I found a string describing this exact problem and a member suggested a "HotFix" of file "acdb17.dll" I searched my ACAD install folder and found no such file. I searched the entire hard drive and didn't find it. I put the supposed magic file in my ACAD folder (along with all the other dll files), re-started AutoCAD and still I can't use windows copy and paste. These commands work as expected in all other programs, just not Auto CAD. It's not that I'm married to the clipboard but I really need to move objects from one drawing to another. I also tried first saving all objects as a block but that didn't work. I've read where this problem exists in 2007 but I used to use 2007 with no problem. I'm on 2002 now and it used to work on that too.

Jan 6, 2014A few of the computers are having problems with the Copy/Paste function. They had it working a few times and after that, it stopped working (can't paste after copying). Have tried restarting autocad and the computer but the issue is still there. Have also tried updating the service pack to the latest version. It works for a while and stopped working again.

Dec 14, 2013When I paste an item in the assembly, the item is thrown off in space. It places it so far away that it is not even in the view window. I have to stop what I doing, do a find in window and then drag it close to where I need it. Then I can start constraining it.
Why does it not place the item at my coursor location like it used to?
I am using SP1.

Jul 12, 2012I finally figured out why LR sometimes ignores the paste command and if not a bug, it is at least a problem that can adversely affect the unsuspecting user. Pasting a WB does not always work if both the source/target are both "As Shot", and yet the Temp/Tint are still different. It seems priority should be given to the actual numbers instead of the As shot status, which (in my case) could vary between cameras. The logic is a bit strange.
I can see how whether or not this is a bug is debatable, but it seems more useful to have it work the other way. There should at least be a message when the paste command results in no expected action (I expect the actual WB numbers to take priority over "as shot").

Premiere Pro :: Clip Keyframes Not Working?
Feb 3, 2014I used to have this problem with CS5 and hoped it wouldn't happen again when I bought in to CC.
In the timeline certain audio tracks will not allow me to enable clip keyframes. When I try the 'add keyframe' button is greyed out. I can add track keyframes no problem but using them is a lengthy work around. The error also seems to be radom and trashing my prefs makes no difference.
Specs are:
iMac 27" 3.4GHZ i7, 16GB DDR3, Radeon HD 6790M 2GB

Jul 7, 2013So I have a soft imported clip with cfx applied...right click consolidate handles...and it seems to work...
But then archiving gives a crazy size estimate so I checked handles again...it turns out the handles haven't been consolidated at all. Timeline says it has been consolidated but entering cfx and exiting again the handles come back.

Jul 3, 2013My company just switched over to AutoCAD 2014 and for some reason the PUBLISH command is not working, or following through with the printing once we complete the required steps to plot.
We are able to select the drawings to be plotted (8"x11" sheets), then successfully bring in our page setup that we created with one of the drawings to be plotted (which we use the same template with the same limits on ALL of our 'drawing templates' we design with.
After we hit the PUBLISH button at the bottom it goes into the background and just stays there with no errors or anything After a little while we end up just having to cancel and plot individually.
We used TrueView to BatchPlot which is identical to the batchplot(publishing) in ACAD 2014 WITH NO ISSUES!
