I was wondering if there is any way to change options in the plot menu. For example I have a long list of printer's and many duplicates, when I only use 2 of the 25 printers on the list. I would like to just have the 2 printers i use displayed, rather then having to search through all the names every time. There is other options I wish to customize in the plot-model tab as well.
View 2 RepliesI have one drawing per file at model tab. When I need to plot a multiple page file, I use:
Print > Batch Plot.
The problem is that I have to set plot configurations ( plot style table, plot area, paper size, etc) in each file before use Batch Plot.
Now I received 722 files with a wrong Plot Style Table. For this time I change the associated *.ctb file at Plot Style folder, but I will need to associate the right *.ctb to each drawing. It's also common to have to change other properties.
I am using AutoCad LT2011 and would like to know how can i get the PREVIOUS PLOT option to be the default option in the plot menu.Â

View 8 Replies View RelatedIs there an option to eliminate AutoCAD from automatically inserting the layout tab name into the file name when creating a PDF? Once upon a time it would only use the file name (i.e. A-101). Now it uses "A-101_Layout1" (or whatever the layout name is) by default. I either have to live with it or manually change each file name during the process of creating the PDF or after it's been created.

I have recently started working on a project in metric and have a weird (to me) issue when I try to plot. There are literally hundreds, of scale options in the Scale popup, most of which make no sense to me. I know that I need 1:25, or 1:100 to fit on the page I am printing to. How do I remove or filter out all of the others such as 1:100 3_1_1_1_1_1? I don't even know what that notation means.

I created a path using the pen tool, changed it to a selection, right-clicked inside the selection area and wanted to Fill the selection, but the menu option is disabled. Does anyone know why? or what I need to do to enable it? Those menu options never seem to enable in the main Edit menu either.
I am running on Windows Vista, Dell Quad-Core system.
Just installed Photoshop CS4. Few problems I'm noticing: - On startup, most menu items under all the top menu are greyed out. It starts with the marquee tool selected, and if I select another tool (like the selection tool),the greyed out items (like File->Open) work and stay working. - I can't close PS CS4 after startup if I don't first select a different tool other then the default (marquee) - I installed a couple extensions via the Extention Manger and they do not show up under Window->Extensions (it's greyed out always). I've uninstalled and reinstalled, did all my Vista Ultimate updates (including SP1). Any thoughts would be appreciated. I've got a top end (well was last year) video card, lots of ram and disk, etc..Dell XPS410 system loaded. Â

If I try to use the 3D Window (Window>3D) then I get a message about enabling "Use Graphic Processor" even though its already enabled. I wanted to try out CC before upgrading for CS6 - And certainly will not be buying a new system just for 3D Option in CC (will stick with CS6)

Adjustment Panel Fly-out menu options. The Adjustment Panel was added to Photoshop in CS4 and two of its Fly-out Menu options seem to be more a problem then useful.

I can see the Menu Bar (File, View, Effects, etc.). However, when I click on, say, File, I can see the drop-down options, but none of the options expand into their sub-menus. All I see is a grey box where the options should be.
I just now was able to reinstall PSP X2 after many months of problems due to the usual "illegally modified" message. It's very frustrating to say the least.

I have Saved it AS a .PSD file but all the Filter menu options stay grayed out.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am on a MAC OS X 10.8.5. I am running Illustrator CC 17.0.0 I started a new document and created my work. I could not save as or export. There are times when the SAVE button is also greyed out. (see screenshot). I was fortunate there was a script that saves the files as a PDF under SCRIPTS. It does not matter if I start a new file or open an old one. I do not have file menu choices. I checked for updates and it states I am current.Â

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhat to try on my computer to counter the frequent and destructive X5 shut downs that are happening. I've read about this problem in other threads, so I know it's not just me or my system.X5 shuts down many, many times every day. I don't think I've been able to work for 15 minutes straight yet without it crashing.
I am running a fast dual-core Intel, XP Pro SP3, 2 GB RAM, ATI Sapphire/Radeon 1GB card, oodles of hard drive space. I can run the hottest, most demanding games no problem. I run hundreds of other apps with no problem. I had no similar problem with X4 on this machine. I have no similar problem with other Corel apps, either.
X5 crashes still happen after I close down as many memory-resident apps as I can. I can't strip it down much further.I usually have a few (3-4) dockers open, one or two palettes, and my files include several bitmaps which may include transparencies or colour masks. I have about 650 fonts installed.
X5 shuts down on me many times during every work session. Sometimes when I am changing fonts, sometimes when editing bitmaps, sometimes when importing bitmaps, sometimes when applying a transparency. Bang - just shuts down. I can have Corelpaint open editing a bitmap and CD closes underneath it. I can open window to import a file and CD closes as I search the thumbnails. It closes when I click the change page tab.
Doesn't seem to be any specific act or function that closes it - it just shuts down. Gone. No warning. I lose everything since the previous save. Half the time the working file is corrupted, too, so I can't even restore it. I have to keep numerous versions on disk and use save-as with every save to keep just one alive.
IÂ notice that the option to set memory usage has gone from the global options menu. Maybe it's bad memory management and we need that option back? I'd be happy to assign a higher percentage of RAM to X5.
How to set a default under options for export to PDF? I need to set the Vector resolution so it defaults to 720 DPI instead of 400 DPI.

Okay, so according to the practice I have to do, I need my Plot Styles from normal to Monochrome. The problem is that each layer has their own plot style Color_7, Color_34 and so on... and apparently we cant change it.

These Application Options settings change not infrequently and for reasons that I cannot be certain of:
Sketch:
Enable Heads-up Display
Edit Dimension when created
Look at sketch...on...creation
Part:
No new sketch goes to x-y plane
This may happen after when I open parts from Inventor 2011 (maybe 2010) into 2012, then create a new part. I would expect the 2012 App Options to be the master, so I don't know why a legacy part would be allowed to change those settings.Â
