AutoCad 3D :: Modeling Operation Error / Inconsistent Face-body Relationships

I tried to slice a solid after a quite complex surface and received this error.
"The Boolean operation on solid and/or surface bodies failed.Modeling Operation Error: Inconsistent face-body relationships.SLICE failed for selected solid."
What I have tried:I up-scaled the surface-solid ensemble by 10x but it didn't work(same error)
I extruded that complex,multi-plane surface and then sliced it with a horizontal plane and got the desired solid BUT:I would like to know what the cause of that problem was and how it can be solved so that I can slice that solid following that surface.

I want to union all the members in a complex roof truss structure so I can 3D print the model (picture attached). It seems intermittent in which elements will union and which wont. Revisiting the elements they sometimes then union. Sometimes there is no error message while sometimes 'Inconsistent Edge Face Relationship'

I read on an archived blog somewhere that is was a glitch in autocad2005. I am running 2010- so I don't get it. I really need to extrude these plines

As CAD administrator at my company, which is in the process of implementing Inventor/Vault, I am quite sold on the Layout Modeling/Multi-body part modeling functionality that Inventor supports. Among other things I believe there is a large payoff in assembly stability and simplicity. I have experienced this problem before, but have found no solution. Sometimes I am unable to move the faces of 3DSolids and get the error messages like "Modeling Operation Error: Gap cannot be filled" or "Modeling Operation Error: No solution for a vertex". Haven't found a pattern of error yet, but today I copy clipped some 3D solids from another drawing into my current drawing and found that the move face wouldn't work after that. If I draw a simple 3D solid within the current drawing, the move face won't work; but, if I copy clip that same object into a new, blank drawing, the move face works.

My recent project has included taking a face and putting it on a different body (or vice versa). Here are my steps (and youll see why Im requesting better ways to do this )
1. Get an image that I want someones face in. Go into MS Paint (YIKES, I know; but the "magic tool" in photoshop doesn't always erase the right stuff) and slowly/carefully make an outline of white around the person's head.
2. Cut out the head (looks jagged and not smooth) from Paint, resize it with Irfan View.
3. Find a picture of a random body, put it in photoshop
4. Paste the head into photoshop file and position it over the old head.
5. Recolor/contrast both layers so they match skin tone/lighting and then blur edges of face so it doesn't look so rough

we are 3 students planing a short animated Film for university, the character will be modeled in the next week and we are planning the rigs right now. We thought one guy is doing the Facial Rigging and another Guy the Body Rigging. Is it possible to combine the weight maps etc to get a perfectly working solution?

All right so I'm animating a horse like creature with duik tools but I'm not sure how to get my face features to react along with the movement of the body. For instance I have the horse bring it's head down. Parenting was the first thing I thought of but when I parent the features; mouths, eyes, eye lashes, ears, etc; to the body it makes it to where they follow along with the body but not the right direction. Example; the mouth will still be facing to the right even if the head is looking down.

I am having both objects disappear after a Boolean Union (I am going to try creating just two random objects - a cube and a sphere - and seeing if the operation works with them).
One thing that I have thought is that the resolution of the mesh might be srewing up the operation (The sizes of the polygons in the two objects is pretty different).
So that might be a factor (when I am in Mudbox, I could try not subdividing the smaller objects as much as the larger one, so that the polygons are the same size).

I keep getting this message when opening an assembly;
Internal error in persistence operation (Can't load segment PmResultSegment via a RSeRef when loading segment PmDCSegment)
The solution is to find the corrupted part and restore it.
My problem is that the assembly (and 5 subassemblies) consists of over 150 parts, which is way to many to just start recreating parts at random...
Is there a way to pin-point which parts ruins my model ?

I am not able to open the tutorial files in the getting started tab. I get a script error "could not complete the operation due to error 800a01ad" for both the tutorials and the help files. I have Windows 7 64 bit SP1, IE 9. I am not getting script errors with any other web sites.

I'm physiotherapist and researcher interested in human body posture analysis. Goal of my researches are to make 3d digital model of human posture. Right now I'm using Microsoft kinect to build a human body model, but it's difficult to do automatic analysis on that mesh. In our team we create an algorithm which analysis posture, right now we base on points located on the body, for that is necessary to manually locate that point's which is inaccurate and time consuming. Our idea is to use divide human body into segments and then fit in those segments some geometry figures ( cylinders , bal, ), next step is to calculate center of masses of those figures, so we simplify the posture to 20-40 points , and calculation of those points can be made automatic.

IV2010, editing a multi body part gives these errors:
1. No more memory available. Attempt to allocate 208 bytes of memory failed.
and
2. See attached.
This error is preventing me from saving or closing the program.

I'm having trouble using the Save For Web function on Photoshop CS6. The initial dialog opens fine and I can select any file type to save to etc. Once I click 'Save...' I get the error "Could not complete this operation. An unknown operating system error has occurred."I have looked up this error and from previous threads I have tried deleting the Save for Web library files and restarting, however this doesn't work (Unless I am deleting the wrong file?).
I'm running a 2.6 GHz Retina Macbook Pro with the latest update installed for Photoshop. I have 16 GB ram.Strangely, I have a PC running the same version of Photoshop CS6 and it works fine for this function.

My Illustrator has always worked fine but then all of a sudden when I go to open it I get a message 'Could not complete the requested operation.' and I have to click OK and it closes. I have un-installed and re-installed with no success. I have artwork to finish with a deadline of next week.

We work on PC's with CS5 installed on approximately 7 seats. One artist posted this error message asking what do you do when you see this? Well now I'm seeing this message. Not funny. The problem started when I attempted to paste an template into a blank document. There was a conflict between swatches. I'm not sure how many there were, around 200 or so. Each one requireing me to click OK.

I get an error "The operation cannot complete due to an unknown error" when I copy paste ax XL graph from MS excel to Illustrator CS6. This happens only when I paste the graph created in Win7 but when I paste the graph created in XP, it doesn't throw any error and works fine. why get this error only with the graph sheets created in Win7

Trying to install LR4 upgrade and it won't install.
Error msg when clicking the yellow package reads: The operation couldn't be completed.(com.apple.installer.pagecontroller error -1.) Couldn't open "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.pkg".
My system is an iMac 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo w/ 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3.Just upgraded to 10.6.3 Snow Leopard and the HD has 893GB available.
