Mar 1, 2012I would like to make a list on my drawing of my blocks. Not with part reference. How do I do that?

AutoCAD .NET :: Plots All Blocks To PNG - Open DWG / Get List Of All Blocks
Nov 30, 2012I have a program that plots all blocks to png - open a dwg, get a list of all blocks, insert each into an empty dwg, zoom extents, and plot using the OOTB PublishToWeb PNG.pc3. In the attachments is an example of the problem. When I do this manually from a layout, I get the correct image. When I plot from code using the same PC3 file, draworder is being ignored.
It works if I apply transparency to the block and use ps.PlotTransparency = True, but I would prefer not to have to tell the user to change the block definitions. Is there a plotsettings property I am missing?

Jul 15, 2011How do I manipulate a height parameter all of the dynamic blocks in the drawing from one single field? Say a field located in the drawing properties or on the drawing itself.
For example: Multiple blocks of different walls of same height with other blocks of things on located on those walls, dependant on the wall height, all linked to and changed by a single field. Possibly a Wall Height field located in the custom tab of the drawing properties.
I can pickout each of the blocks and change them at the same time in properites menu because they all share the same parameter name. I would just like to have that height parameter of every block in the drawing, that has that specific parameter controled by a single field. Which I could enter a new height at anytime that would change every block in the drawing to that height.

Apr 4, 2012i am using autocad LT 2010 and i need to get a list of all the name of the blocks used and the quantities of them from a drawing. I cannot used Bcount, eattext as they just return an uknown command,
Also i dont want to use qselect as i have about mutlples of 40 different blocks and i dont want to be qselecting 40 times.

May 24, 2012we have created a large number of blocks out on our network and are continuously adding to them. A good way to provide a list or thumbnails of available blocks without having to create a drawing with all the blocks inserted to it. i just need to be able to communicate all available blocks to new hires, engineers, etc.

The code runs successfully (meaning i don't get any errors), but when I want to insert the block it isn't in the list of blocks.
AutoCad :: Blocks Not Retaining Their Settings From Drawing To Drawing
Mar 5, 2012I am editing an existing block to change the lineweight and have tried using the REFEDIT command as well as double clicking the block to take me into the block editor and making my changes there. I am sucessfully able to edit my block and make the changes using both of these methods. Where I am running into an issue is that the block I have edited only retains its new settings within the drawing that I changed it in. If I insert that same block into a new drawing I have to re-edit the block again the make the changes that I want. Why are my blocks not retaining their settings from drawing to drawing.

May 2, 2011I've been working on fixing our metric template at work, and there's a drawing scale that I can't figure out to delete. I can rename it, but can't edit or delete it.
The drawing is empty, there's only layers, dim style, text style and multi leader style and a few block. I've tried purging everything and I still can't delete it.

Sep 18, 2012before when reset scale it will have 1:1000, 1:2000, something like that.
now when reset it is same as autocad. which is like 1:1 (should be 1000), 1:2 (should be 2000)
what changed? i know it's just the name but this is bad. shoudln't change something like this all the sudden. hopefully is some variable.

I have got as far as using the following diesel expression.
Xref's in this file are indicated as - Xref name [Filepath]

This gives me more or less what I want but I dont want to show the file path. What changes to the expression I need to do to achieve this.

(One example, when plotting drawings with layouts, sometimes the shadeplot setting is wireframe, and not classic hidden, though it's been set up in our templates).
The huge question is, can I get a list of drawings to a variable in one drawing, and have access to that variable list, in the next drawing I open? I'll iron out the bugs on read-only statuses, or manipulating drawing states later.

AutoCAD Inventor :: Differences In Measurements Between Part List And Drawing
Jul 19, 2012I've done a 3D frame in Inventor 2012 and after doing a 2D with a partlist chart I found differences between lengths. The length of the part list was the first one, the frame was modified and the partlist didnt update.
Found out that the d18 parameter was a fixed number. I managed to change it manually by changing the G_L parameter to d18.How can I set up my inventor to update the part length automatically?

Jan 20, 2011I am using the sheet list table to generate a table of contents. I add the "Drawing Revision Number" column to the table, but when it generates the list it does not include the field.
Is there any way to add the "Sheet Revision Number" instead since this is what property is actually adjusted in the sheet's properties? (i never change the "Drawing Revision Number")
OR is the solution to change the "Drawing Revision Number"? Where do I change this property at? Is this property applied to all sheets within a drawing?
