I've written a program with c#.net for selecting objects and creating block without opening a window in autocad. But when I run its dll in autocad, it makes a block including many of the selected objects by me/user in one block.
View 6 RepliesI have several blocks saved as separate .DWGs, some of which are dynamic. I want to review and test these blocks, but I can't find a way to open the existing block definitions in the Block Editor without first inserting the blocks into a drawing.

Every time I start and end the Mtext command, as the dialog box opens and closes, the screen "shudders", or "jumps" a little. It is hard on my eyes. I have explored the MTEXTFIXED and the MTEXTED commands, but I can't get it to settle down.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI received dual monitors a while ago and I've noticed an annoying issue with VBA dialogs. No matter which screen I have inventor open on all but one of my dialog boxes opens to the far left side of my right monitor. This is quite annoying as I normally have to drag the dialog bad to a better spot.
All of my dialogs have the "Center Owner" for the start up position selected. I can't explain why one scripts dialog box appeared centered and the rest don't.
I'm trying to insert a block using the "insert dialogue box". However, when I do, if I have the box for "insertion point" unchecked, I get the error "Block Insertion Failed" (picture 1).
If I check that box, I get the error "*Invalid* Block references itself". I have purged the drawing and there are no other blocks in the drawing.
Lost the ability to double click on blocks and mtext to bring up the editor box in my drawings. I've tried all settings that i know of and have had zero results.

View 6 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to create a block with attributtes that automatically complete x, y, z, lat, long for the insertion point of the block?
I am trying to complete text in paperspace that will automatically fill in the lat long of a point in model space without using a table. I have tried field insertion with reference to a cogo point, but it doesn't give options for position on a cogo point. If I pick a block with attributes, it will let me pick any attributes, and x,y position for the block.
Cogo points show all the information I need to propagate in the properties....but how do I get that to translate into the text using fields or some other method?

my "block editor settings" dialog box won't show up wether i try to access it via command line, options, or the block editor. everything else disables like it should be running..... but no dialog box?
I'm running autocad 2012.
For some reason, when I go to open my latest MAX2014 file... the State Sets dialog shows briefly on the screen while the file is being opened but then disappears just before the file finishes opening.
I don't use State Sets so I'm not sure why this dialog is showing.
I must be using the Enhanced attribute editor the wrong way. Every time I double click the attribute block the enhanced attribute editor opens the dialog box and I have to resize it so a can see all my tags. Then I have to click the tag I want to change then click the value to change it. To change a different tag I have to repeat that process over and over. It makes attributes a complete waste of time. It’s faster to change Mtext or Dtext. I must be doing something wrong. Is there a way to get the dialog box in the image to pop up when I double click the attribute block?

I made a write block from one drawing so that i could use it in another drawing. Now that i have inserted it into a different drawing i cannot explode it. I did not see the option to allow exploding when i created it.
I tried to create a regular block (not a write block) but then when i opened a new drawing and clicked "insert" "block" it was not in the list of available blocks?

There is a process bar which moves very slowly, and a Cancel button.
If i hit Cancel the dialog box goes away and my file loads right away in what ever program I'm using.

I want the ability for the user to then select a button on the modeless dialog that will import in data from the Excel Worksheet into AutoCAD. My preference is for the modeless dialog to be shown in Excel and not necessarily be tied to AutoCAD.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis didn't used to happen, but now whenever I open an Illustrator file, the "Find Font" dialog opens as though the fonts I'm using aren't found. Not sure what it wants me to do because no matter what I try nothing resolves. I simply click the "Done" button and go about my business. And there are no problems. Why is this happening? and why now? My fonts are always loaded before I open the file, the file looks and handles just fine.

I have LR4 and PS CS5. Edited several photos this morning without a problem --But this evening, after editing in LR, clicked command+E to open in Photoshop- as I always do, but didn't get the dialog that gives me the option to edit with LR changes. The files are opening as raw instead of TIFF all of a sudden! I have done nothing different aside from updating the Kubota dashboard.
I deleted the Kubota plug-in since that was the only thing I did out of the ordinary but still no luck. I am deserate to get images edited in LR transferred to PS WITH THE EDITS! Why would it work one minute and not the next?
Just tried to edit in Color Efex from Lightroom and got the dialogue. So...it's only happening with Photoshop. I tried uninstalling Photoshop and reinstalling with updated Camera Raw 6.7 plugin. No luck....
Is there a way to create a thumbnail for a block that looks like the block when in a drawing rather than exploded when written to a file? I checked, and my Blockeditlock variable is set to zero, which should allow me in. But alas, it does not. When I type in "blockeditor" it says "read only". Which it's never done before.

It does not come up highlighted for naming but can be right-clicked, renamed. If your files list is long you won't even see the new folder created as it does not snap to the folder either. Conversely; I can still right-click, new, folder. This acts as expected which creates folder at the top of files list, highlighted for naming.

is it possible to create a block so that the base point is the only snap point on the block?
In other words supose I have a block of a simple rectangle with the base point in the center.
If I try to snap to the block, I will be able to snap to all the corners, but not the base point. I know that i can put a point at the base point, but can I turn off the snap to the corners (just for the block) in other words, have an object that is unsnapable to without turning the snap mode off.
