A blank Ribbon palette opens when I start up AutoCAD. It loads my custom workspace, but it also loads a ribbon palette each time aswell.
I'm using AUTOCAD Map3D 2013 Service pack 2.1
I'm sure there is a patch for this out there by now, I mean there has to be, I mean, why would Auto desk NOT want to fix this problem.
I have a user who opens his drawings from 2012 in 2013 and they show the sheet set manager blank. He goes back to the 2012 seat and the sheet set manager displays the dwgs.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAcad 2013 32bit on XP Pro...I use the Ribbon as a palette.I'm creating a Dynamic Block with 3 visibility states (Plan, Front, Side).When I try to change from one visibility state to another using the Ribbon pull-down it keeps reverting back to the previous view.
To make it stick I have to use the visibility state dialogue box.
I have a VB .NET Dll that add a new ribbon in AUTOCAD.When I load this dll from AUTOCAD, this new ribbon is well added.I'm trying to start this dll with AUTOCAD Start.
I've tried to load the DLL from the acad.lsp but the DLL is loaded before AUTOCAD load the ribbon, then the dll is well loaded but my new ribbon is not displayed !.
A blank sheet automatically opens along with an exisitng DWG file opening. How do I stop autocad from adding a blank sheet into an existing file opening and closing ???

View 14 Replies View Relatedi have been working on this project in corel draw12 for several weeks now, as it is or/was coming to its final stages a few days ago it now only opens a blank page, it is 2.14 gb and it will get bigger as it reaches its final stages.i can still see it in preview. when it was opening it took a very long time to open i realise the reason for this is the size im using very high resolution images and designing and editing, or maybe there is another program that you may recommend that will support the size so i can complete my work.
i found a backup copy but it will not import the size is 1.70 gb seems its still too large to open ,
i don't think it has anything to do with memory , i have a full drive laptop is new. my thoughts are that corel draw will not open a file that size, and you are right about breaking it up i should have worked in several sheets but saved them desperately.
I recencly purchased a new Mac. Specs: OSX Version 10.7.4 and installed my copy of Photoshop CS4 onto the machine.
When ever I restart Photoshop it always automatically opens the last doc in the program from the previous work session. Is there anyway to stop this from happening?
I updated to Arch. 13 and some of my content (mainly casework) was not working properly, so I deleted it and decided to just re-download the files. Insert ribbon > Seek search bar leaves me with a blank page. I've tried queries: "casework" "ceiling fan" "furnace" "family" "lighting" and "wall."
I've tried getting through via Revit Architecture as well.
I'm in the middle of a design concept rendering for a client... so this caught me completely off-guard.

I got this error

I already tried several fixes like:
1. reinstall all redist(x64 & x86).
2. reinstall .Net 4.0
3. Use CCleaner for Registry error.
4. chckdsk for error and fix.still error so I've gone through this.
5. I uninstall Autocad 2014 completely, uninstall it manually one by one,deleted left over folder of autodesk or similar software to it, deleted its registry keys.just like the instruction on how to remove autocad completely in autodesk, I just followed it all. [after Reboot]
6 I Re-install it and still the problem persist.
I have created one drawing with 10 Layouts in different formats(A1,A0...etc) and with different Legends on it. I need to give these layouts to lot of users, where everyone uses one layout out of 10 in their drawing. Is there any way to add them in tool palette like dynamic blocks? or is it possible to add thme as a ribbon in the dwg template?

My usual routine is to create a new document that is larger than the two images--say, 10x8 (horizontal) with a transparent background and the same resolution as the two images that I'll be placing on the canvas (say, two 4x3's). Then I simply click on the image I want to move and drag it from its layers palette onto the blank background canvas, and move/edit/size as needed.
when I drag an image over to the blank canvas, it assumes the size of the entire canvas. so I just have the image... enlarged. With no background canvas. when I click on the new image (the one dragged to the canvas), all of the editing commands are grayed out. So I cannot resize or move it.I'm on CS5 (mac)
3 MB file with several Xrefs takes about 20 mintues to open. I've purged, recoverd, and audited the working drawing and all the overlayed Xrefs, with no success. When I open in AutoCad Version 2007, it opens quickly (one minute)

I want to force the user to open a template rather than have one open automatically for them, as we have many different clients all with different standards.
I tried deleting all the template files as an experiment… but somehow a blank template still loaded. How can I force AutoCAD to make the user select a template upon initial load rather than have the default template load automatically?

I recently created a grading file in autocad civil 3d 2014 that contains grading objects. When I try to open the file on another computer that is using autocad civil 3d 2013, the file will not open and I get a fatal error. I audited, purged, recovered and tried about everything.

I've tried doing a repair; uninstalling and re-installing. Nothing works.
The program was working fine for months and it just started doing this. No new hardware or software has been installed. Even did a system restore to a time when I know it was working, in case there was some Windows or driver update.
We had a project folder named A. We created a new project folder named B and copied the AutoCad files from A to B. On one of our workstations if you open a drawing from folder B, then click save as, the dialog opens to folder A.
Not a big problem, but since the files are named the same it can be confusing...

I`ve been trying to create a new drawing template in autocad 2013, I have saved it as a dwt file as suggested . When i go to open the new template the first thing i notice is that the thumb nail has a black ground , while the other templates that came with autocad have a white background !...when i open the dwt file it opens like a normal dwg file in model space not in paper space. the dwt file behaves as just a normal file .

View 9 Replies View Relatedwhen I tried downloading and installing this INCREMENT app from the Exchange Store. First, I can't get this to run at all. If I go into the CUI settings dialogue, I don't see this plug-in listed anywhere where it should appear. It had occurred to me that maybe the only way this app works is from the plug-in tab and not from the command line, but I'm not sure that makes any sense, either seems it should work either way, if I'm interpreting the documentation correctly. But, I cannot make my ribbon tab appear to check out my probably mistaken theory (see above). Navigating around the CUI dialogue and checking the settings for my tab, I see that it is set to "show" and there is every indication that it should appear, but there seems to be something buggy or suspicious going on with the
Control-0 (clean screen) toggle and/or the Control-9 (command line) toggle as well?I don't see how either of these would have any affect on the visibility of my tab, if they were toggled to the correct setting. I am the only person using this workstation so it's not like there is a profile issue at work here.
