View 2 RepliesFirst, I'm using the new Lightroom v4.1 on a Windows 7 x64 system.
I'm trying (without success) to remove volumes from the list that's shown when a user clicks on the 'Import' button (lower left of screen) and 'Select a source' which, naturally, shows all the drives in my system.
There are five volumes; four internal and one external.
There are only two drives which contain photos that I'm interestered in importing/editing.
The other drives contain files that I have no interest in editing or organizing.
For example, several hundred (scanned and collected) very old family photos that I wish to keep pristine, with no editing of any kind. As for placing them in collections, I already have them in dated, carefully named folders.
So, as this is a shared computer, I want to remove the volumes (drives) so that the aforementioned photos can't be inadvertantly imported.
I have a simple drawing (very suitable since I am very much a newbie) with the object drawn on Layer 0 and the dimensions on another layer named (by way of novelty) Dimensions. When I sent this drawing to print I only get Layer 0 - no dimensions.
In photoshop-type applications the process is called flattening, whereby all the layers are compressed into the base layer.
Is there a similar process in AutoCAD?Do I have to use it to get all layers in the one print-out?How should I go about getting both object and dimensions to print?
I create an assembly, then a drawing from the assembly, i add a parts list and annotate everything, then include a title block. Everything looks fine. Then i print or PDF the drawing and odd circles appear which aren't present on the original drawing. They appear to be randomly positioned and don't line up with any other cylindrical feature, i cannot work out how to remove them.
I have told all non-essential layers not to print and in the PDF the circle is on the same layer as the drawing (Visible (ISO)).
Where I can get a pdf of the standard Content Center Library? Just a list of all the parts and sizes along with nomenclature.

I have inserted aerial photos into a drawing. When I go to layout view and print preview either to my plotter or my pdf writer I can see the aerial image just fine within the viewport. But once it actually makes a pdf or prints it to the plotter the aerial photos are not there, just the polylines and objects within the drawing.

I draw a box, I measure the box and it tells me its 37.886 (what r the units?) I do a printout at 1:1 on an 8.5x11 landscape and nothing matches.....?
Where can I get a manual to reference?
I need to copy a layer from one drawing to another, the problem is that one of them is in model and the other one is in paper. The method I tried using was: I used the q select command to copy all objects from one layer on to the clipboard and then tried pasting it in the other drawing (which was in paper) - and nothing got pasted.

I'm wondering AutoCAD Map has to ability to search for geographical locations (like a Google Maps) if the database (??) is connected to the drawing. I understand our state's aerial photos to be referenced to the NAD83 state plan coordinate system.

I'm not sure if the problem is with the laser printer or with photoshop.
I am using Adobe Illustrator CS3. When I print to my new LaserJet, documents that are not a full page in size are having the items shifted on the hard copy print out. Specifically, while the font and graphics are not changing in size, all items are shifting to the top of the sheet of paper during printout (i.e. the hard copy does not match what is shown on my screen.)
No Microsoft files are printing improperly, only Acrobat and Illustrator are displaying this issue.
When I printout a file at a reduced size, is there a way to add the percentage that it got reduced by on the printout?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have 5 AutoCAD 2013 users that receive Unhandled Exception 2 errors when closing AutoCAD files. All users are on Windows 7 64-bit machines, but amount of RAM varies. Three machines have 4GB of RAM, one has 8GB and one has 12GB. AutoCAD is 2013, SP1.1 64-bit. All machines are Dells either Optiplex 980 with Nvidia GEForce GT330 card or Optiples 990 with AMD Radeon HD 660Series video card.
We have updated the video drivers on both machine types to the latest version. The users state that the errors occur on newly created files as well as files that they share between themselves, but only occurs when closing files. AutoCAD opens with out errors.
I've attached a Word document with the series of errors that are created when closing a drawing.
I was hoping to address a document within the collection by name alone but it never seems to work regardless of which name i use.
Dim oDrawing as DrawingDocument: Set oDrawing=Thisapplication.Documents.Item("TEST.idw")
or
Dim oDrawing as DrawingDocument: Set oDrawing=Thisapplication.Documents.Item("C:WorkspaceTEST.idw")
PS The document is not in the visible documents collection as i don't want the user to see me opening and closing the reference documents.
So I just upgraded to MEP 2013 last week and am in a bad situation where when I keep making my data link tables to a range on an excel table the file name's full address is not staying when I go to insert the table.
(ex. D:/Documents/JB Plans/NK.xlsm is just NK.xlsm when I try to insert the table)
Does some defaulting or setting that I haven't found involving this issue?

So far the testing has gone fine but we've run into a snag. The public IP address at the site of the central server has changed because of a change in ISPs. Now I'm unable to figure out how to update the IP addres settings for the central server that the local server connects to..
I've tried running the install again but it won't run since the software is already installed. I've tried running a repair. I've tried logging into Revit Server Administrator but there is no option to change the IP address of the central server it connects to.
When the IP address of one of my scanners was changed (due to power outage), two listings of the scanner now show up as separate devices with the same name in the PSE9 WIA list - one of these with the old obsolete IP address. The same device is also listed with the new address and it works. How to I delete the WIA listing with the old IP address?
Only one entry with the IP address for this HP printer/scanner shows up in the Windows 7 list of printers. So this WIA list is a remanent of the past. How do I get rid of it?
