AutoCAD LT :: Move / Copy Properties Button To Home Panel
Nov 21, 2012I'd like to locate the PROPERTIES button in the Home Panel instead of, or in addition to, the View Panel. When I go into CUI, it won't let me move/copy it.
View 1 RepliesI'd like to locate the PROPERTIES button in the Home Panel instead of, or in addition to, the View Panel. When I go into CUI, it won't let me move/copy it.
View 1 RepliesSo, I have been learning how to customize the CUI. I have gotten as far as adding and arranging commands on the existing panels. Next, I added a new panel and added commands to the new panel. Then I dragged and dropped it onto the Home tab. But no new panel. I seem to have missed a step in getting the new panel recognized as being on the Home tab.
So, once you have created a new panel, is there a command in the CUI to activate the new panel?
I installed ACA 2011 on 6 computers. 5 of the 6 had aca 2008 and XP on them. The 6th was a new computer with windows 7 on it. We notice that the build panel on the Home tab is not there. How do I get it there?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI've checked everywhere else for a solution but none apply to me it seems. My keyboard shortcut for returning to the home isometric view (F6) is not working. F3, F4, & F5 all work fine. I've tried returning the cursor focus back to the model window and that doesn't work. I also made sure the shortcut is actually listed in the Customize menu, I even reset all to default in case something was changed.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to set up my drawings so that the title block displays properties from the model. I want to set this up so there will be drawing properties to extract into Vault. So I want to know what other Inventor and Vault users are doing to get model properties into Inventor drawings: Using model properties in the title block and nothing to extract in Vault or Copy model properties so Vault has data to extract.
I want to know what the best in class practice is? What are others doing? I do not want to use iLogic I was out of the box Inventor functionality.
I have a 3D file (not of my creation) that gives me some problems when I try to copy it (it is a 3D building).
The problem is that, when i click on "copy" command, I can select a point but then AutoCAD crashes and it takes about 30 seconds to return working a normal way and permit me to paste it. (it happens with "move" command too)
Otherwise, if I use "copy with base point" I have no problems: after a second I can paste it where I want.
How can it be possible? Cause if sometimes I mistake and digit "copy", I always have to wait the long Autocad response.
This problem happens with both autocad 2012 and 2013 and it doesn't happen with other 3D files I have. The drawing is made mainly of meshes.
I have a Dell notebook and a NVIDIA Quadro 2000M video card, so you can understand I don't like this problems: I spent a lot of money for something I hoped could work well with AutoCAD.
About that, aren't there drivers for the graphic card? Cause when I click on "check for updates", autocad says me that there are newer version of the driver, but then it says me that it is impossible to update it (I have a connession and a student version).
I'm using a disto laser with my tablet running "AutoCad Architecture". The laser can be set to fire using a combination of Alt, Shift or Control keys plus a number or letter. I arbitrarily set it up as "Alt 1". My old tablet had a mechanical button that I easily assigned this function. For my new setup, I need this button on the ribbon but I can't figure out what Macro text format is the same as pressing "Alt 1".
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am new to creating ribbons.Is there any way to put two vertical ribbon button just in the middle of the panel? Is it possible to align Ribbon Buttons? Or changing properties of ribbon buttons like font size?
This is part of my code that creating two vertical buttons in a panel,but unfortunately they aren't align.
Dim ribbonbutton5 As New RibbonButton()
ribbonbutton5.Text = "Detail"
ribbonbutton5.ShowText = True
ribbonbutton5.ShowImage = True
ribbonbutton5.LargeImage = getBitmap(My.Resources.Rib_32)
ribbonbutton5.Image = getBitmap(My.Resources.Rib_16)

I WOULD like to use viewcube. However the button in the view panel has a blue rectangle over the button. I've tried to enter "navvcube" in the command line with no success. I've gone through the help pages in 2011, again with no sucess. Does the blue cover mean it's not available?

I have added single panel in my new ribbon tab. This panel contains a single button.
When user clicks this button then a dockable window is invoked.
Now I want to insert 'Exit' Panel(and "Finish" button in it) to kill the above dockable window.
e.g. If we switch on sketch mode then to exit from this mode the 'Finish' button is there in all tabs of ribbon
(As shown in below image)
I want to use this behaviour in my addin.
Is there any API to add this 'Exit' panel to terminate from any button command or do we need to add it ourselves?
When objects are selected, they don't show up on the properties panel (or on the Quick Select panel either) It doesn't matter what method I use:
-Pick one object (lines, arcs, circles, blocks, etc), the Quick Properties flyout appears, but empty. Properties flyout show "no selection"
-Window-select object or objects. Quick Properties bar shows up empty again. Properties flyout show "no selection"
-Click on the Quick Select icon. It prompts me to pick geometry. I do. The Quick Select window comes up, but where it says "Object Type", it only has the option "Multiple", and not the normal list of the geometry you selected.

Typically when I click on the Set Origin button, all I then have to do is click on the page where I want the hatch origin to be, and everything works just fine.
I work on a shared computer. Start working this morning, and now when I click on the Set Origin button, it prompts me to inform it "SIngle or SUbobject?". And through a number of further selections, I can eventually get around to selecting my origin and having things shift around properly. But that really slows me up. Seems like one of the system variables got changed. I've doodled around a bit online, but haven't been able to find how to get things back to how they used to be.
And I tried opening a new page, restarting the program, etc., and the new way the button works has taken hold. I can't get it to reset. So on my computer (not working properly) when you click on the Set Origin button, the command line says "Command: _-hatchedit select hatch objects..select hatch objects: _S" then it says "ambiguous response, please clarify" "SIngle or SUbobject?"
On the computers that are working properly it only displays the "select hatch objects: _O" and doesn't show the _S part.
What happened to the option/enter command in the move object dialog that has been around since the early days of Illustrator??? Instead of having to mouse click the "copy" button in the move object window, one could just hold down option with Return or Enter and the Copy command would happen rather than a simple move. Immensely useful for prepress work!

Where is the Properties Panel in the CS6 Camera Raw box (looking for Feather slider in that panel)?
View 1 Replies View Relateddraw a line or a shape or do almost anything it seems in PSCC, the Properties Panel jumps out. Quite rudely, it blocks the upper right of whatever I am working on. Yes, I can simply close it, but it interrupts my workflow, and it pops out constantly. This definitely did not happen in CS6 or any previous version of PS or even in the first version of PS in Creative Cloud.

View 1 Replies View RelatedYou'd think that being able to copy and paste would be a fairly straightforward task in any piece of software. Not in AutoCAD 2013. The Help file says the commands are located on the 'Clipboard' panel, under the 'Home' tab. I've spent a lot of time searching and can't find them, nor can I find any information about how to turn such a panel on.
This is the sort of thing that shouldn't be a problem in a well-designed piece of software. We're finding AutoCAD 2013 to be almost unusable out of the box, and have to spend ages fiddling with the (clunky) Custom User Interface commands to make it work. Every time AutoDesk bring out a new version of AutoCAD it seems to get even worse. I could resort to keyboard commands, but shouldn't have to. I'm starting to think the best solution would be to invest in a copy of Vectorworks instead.
I have a layer with a vector mask.
When I go to the properties panel, enter the feather radius „0.5“ and hit the enter key it rounds it up to 1 (Pixels).
Entering „0.4“ and hitting enter gives 0.
4.3 gives 4
4.6 gives 5
and so on.
So hitting enter rounds the value, although decimal values are accepted and do work. Why is that? What's the purpose of rounding the number?
When I enter „0.5“ and click somewhere it works without changing it to 1. Then it's really just 0.5 px. But hitting enter (the most natural thing after entering some value) rounds it.
Is this a feature or a flaw?
