I want to put it in CC forum, since it's a CC problem.I'm having the same issues as these people, where the properties panel doesn't always show you the live shape options and I can't for the life of me figure out why.
View 6 RepliesSince the release of Photoshop CC the "Live Shape Properties" has basically chosen when it does and does not want to show up.... sometimes I even create a new shape to replace the old one and it STILL does not show the live shape properties... how hard is it to make sure the options are available at all times? I opt for a discount since this is a half working application and the features you highlighted barely function...

I can't seem to find the anwser anywhere. Whenever I make any shape it keeps bringing the panel up.
Checking out the corner radii controls on vector shapes and it looked to be working, until I created a couple of other shapes. The Properties box inconsistently changes for the same kind of shapes.

Looks like I can't go back to edit the shape for some reason. What would cause this? It's like the shape has suddenly stopped being a Live Shape.

After creating a group of rounded rectangles.. randomly they will change from having editable Live Shape Properties to just the Masks Properties --- the Live Shape little icon/button in the top of the Properties panel is missing and only shows the Masks icon. Eventually all the rounded rectangles will lose the editable Live Shape Properties. No rhyme or reason.
I have the following image above where I'm trying to add color to different aspects of the drawing. For instance, I'd like to be able to add color to the hair (ie the eyebrows and hair on top of his head) and I'm using live paint to do this. The problem is, some of the live paint areas spill into each other, ie the hair spills into the outline of the head, etc. So I'm wondering, what is the best way to go about dividing these areas so live paint recognizes them as two different entities? What I've been doing currently is drawing a line segment, and then using divide below, however this gives me unpredictable results sometimes and I have a hunch there is a better way.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI have created a pie chart and ungrouped the slices.When I use the white arrow to select the slices, two of the shapes are missing a live corner widget in one corner.So, when I move the corners, some of the corners remain unchanged.Also, the large blue shape on the right will not change at all.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe Live Corners feature is welcome in Illustrator 17.1, but I find that it works inconsistently. One issue that I've isolated is that scaling a path makes the live corners disappear.
To reproduce:
Create a rounded rectangle
Select the path
Click the direct selection tool to verify that Live Corners are present
Click the selection tool
Scale the rounded rectangle (say drag up from the scale point in the middle of the bottom side)
Click the direct selection tool - where are the live corners?
Is that a bug? Is that a design choice?
Where is the Properties Panel in the CS6 Camera Raw box (looking for Feather slider in that panel)?
View 1 Replies View Relateddraw a line or a shape or do almost anything it seems in PSCC, the Properties Panel jumps out. Quite rudely, it blocks the upper right of whatever I am working on. Yes, I can simply close it, but it interrupts my workflow, and it pops out constantly. This definitely did not happen in CS6 or any previous version of PS or even in the first version of PS in Creative Cloud.

I have a layer with a vector mask.
When I go to the properties panel, enter the feather radius „0.5“ and hit the enter key it rounds it up to 1 (Pixels).
Entering „0.4“ and hitting enter gives 0.
4.3 gives 4
4.6 gives 5
and so on.
So hitting enter rounds the value, although decimal values are accepted and do work. Why is that? What's the purpose of rounding the number?
When I enter „0.5“ and click somewhere it works without changing it to 1. Then it's really just 0.5 px. But hitting enter (the most natural thing after entering some value) rounds it.
Is this a feature or a flaw?
I don't like really to have an object modify event all the times running . Now question is if user go to properties panel and change the attribute over there. How could I catch the event?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen objects are selected, they don't show up on the properties panel (or on the Quick Select panel either) It doesn't matter what method I use:
-Pick one object (lines, arcs, circles, blocks, etc), the Quick Properties flyout appears, but empty. Properties flyout show "no selection"
-Window-select object or objects. Quick Properties bar shows up empty again. Properties flyout show "no selection"
-Click on the Quick Select icon. It prompts me to pick geometry. I do. The Quick Select window comes up, but where it says "Object Type", it only has the option "Multiple", and not the normal list of the geometry you selected.
Have Autocad 2011, as well as Autocad 2010 and Inventor 2010 (trial license) on the same machine.

However, when I selected the floor I found that there isn't a shape editing panel in my ribbon. I ran into the same problem when I attempted to construct sloped roof for drainage. View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I create a shape in Photoshop CS6, it brings up a nice panel of options - allowing me to change radius, stroke style, colour etc. However, once this shape has been placed in the Photoshop document, I am not able to edit it, without creating a new shape.
I cannot change any of the options. Sure, I can select it and change the size - but how would I change the shape stroke colour and style, as well as the radius of the curves?Is there an option or panel which I need to activate to get back to this menu for the current shape?
Here the shape options are visibleHowever, once I click off the shape - they dissapear and I can no longer get them back.

Also, I get an error message when I go into my CUI to try to modify the quick properties tab. Pretty frustrating. I've attached a couple of images for reference. I've repaired, re-installed and unistalled and re-installed and still have the same probelm.

Somehow the Properties Palette has gotten less wide- such that I can't read teh actual properties. Previously I was able to make it wider just by hovering over it, clicking on an arrow and dragging it wider. Not now.

View 2 Replies View RelatedA user showed me today that she cannot see any properties for a wall, door, or other AEC object in the Properties palette.
Some options like height, width, etc. are shown, but not layer, style, etc. from the General portion of the Basic tab.
Is this going to be a reinstall scenario or is there a fix for this?
I recently upgraded from LT2013 to LT2014. I never had any issues with 2013, but now seem to be battling with 2014. My OS is Windows 7 Home edition.
When selecting an object and then clicking the properties menu, the properties of the selected object are not displayed, but instead the properties of the selected layer are shown.
In the attached screenshot:
1) My active layer is "AM_VIEWS".
2) The layer of the object that is selected is "MEDIUM".
3) The properties dialog box shows the properties of my active layer and not the selected object.
I am therefore unable to override any settings of the selected object and manually change settings e.g. Linetype, Linetype scale etc.
