Out of the blue my screen started flashing menu icons after every command except Save. I had two small files open, went from paper space to model space on one of them and BAM! flashing icons and prolonged lag time while the file went from model to paper space. Then after that every command (except Save) evoked some serious lag time and flashing icons.
View 3 RepliesI finally gave in and applied the LT14 registry "fix" to correct the flashing icons, monster lags, etc...might of fixed those issues (not sure yet) but now when I tap the F8 key to toggle Ortho on/off it also toggles on the Grid (which I do not want). If I keep tapping the F8 key it cycles through turning Grid on/off and turning Ortho on/off.
F7 still works like it should, toggling the Grid on/off.
how to make nice smooth looking menu/ribbon icons like the ones that come with AutoCAD? Mine all look pretty lame.
I am using Paint and a 16x16 bit canvas.
Is there a special graphics program that simplifies icon creation?
my layer manager menu button icons have been replaced by hatch patterns this morning …. see attached .... Interesting.
I must have loaded the impressionist.cui interface this morning by mistake.
No doubt a restart will cure the issue.

I'm on WinXP, Athlon 64 4000+, 3GB ram, GeForce 6800 GT video card [driver 181.20]. I'm not sure if this is a video driver bug or CS4 bug.
We have just finished installing a new Photoshop trial and opened the program but for some reason the menues and icons are so zoomed out that we can't see/read them
We have tried changing it in setting with no luck and we can't seem to chance the view into full screen due to the option seemingly being inactive. The program is for my mother and her vision is to poor to read any of it.
In PSP X5 I have colored icons on each drop down menu(same as X4)..Have looked for a way(as in x4, x5)to show image and text in the menu but there is no way to do it.

When I open any acad drawing acad immediately goes into regenerating model with a flashing screen. It will not allow any commands and I need to kill the application using the task manager.

-Flashing, glitchy, slow selection tool.
-With all snaps on, it seems as though it is harder than usual to get it to respond.
-Rotation of 3D items very slow.
-Items disappear when zoom is used.
-Redefining blocks, the parent block either increases or decreases in size.
-When opening a dwg created on 2007 one dimension moved from original location.
- Drawing extents changes and now longer can be zoomed as before, I have tried the F1 help to define the drawing limits and this has not worked.
One of my co-worker has this problem with his cursor's crosshairs. When he moves his cursor the crosshairs are like blinking or sort of flashing. It's not that big of a problem but it's just getting anoying in a short while.

I have a problem with the interface when I have two drawings open at the same time that are xref'd...the screen starts flashing, mouse dragging and the operations are very slow. Example,. if I have the plan open and the elevations open in two separate model space drawings but the plan is xref'd into the elev for reference. Is this an issue for others? What is the fix? This didn't happen in our older ACAD 2005. It is distressing, and I thought it was a server issue, but if I work off my station only, it still happens.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to 2012 but forgot to install the express tools, Doh!. I installed them through control panel repair and everything works. Except when I close and restart ACAD the menu bar express menu disappears. I can bring it back by using cuiload but this is not ideal. Any way to get it to stick?

I have just rendered an animation with moving people trains cars etc. My people were done with populate. They are theonly objects that flash. All other animated objects are fine.

View 3 Replies View RelatedRecently i have been having a problem with Illustrator CC where while im working the top bar, tools etc will flash once for around a second then go back to normal while im doing this sometimes certain objects will be hard to move because of the flickering this keeps happening while working. Its kind of hard to explain really i have tried reinstalling Illustrator that didn't do anything and also resetting my preference which also didn't do anything. Ive tested other adobe products such as Photoshop which work fine no flickering.
I thought perhaps it could be a graphics card problems but tested a few video games and they run perfectly fine.
As in title, in Photoshop CS6 I seem to be getting an awful lot of flashing of the image area. By "flashing" I mean that the area turns completely black for split second fairly often. It seems to be somewhat influenced by my actions, as when i alt-tab out of photoshop with the window still visible, the image area stops flashing.
My PC's specs:

6 GB RAM
Windows 8
I seem to have found the thing causing the flashing, it seems to only occur when an area of the image is selected.
