May 30, 2013I am encountering some frustrating issues with AutoCad 2114 and Windows 8, some examples are as follows.
-Flashing, glitchy, slow selection tool.
-With all snaps on, it seems as though it is harder than usual to get it to respond.
-Rotation of 3D items very slow.
-Items disappear when zoom is used.
-Redefining blocks, the parent block either increases or decreases in size.
-When opening a dwg created on 2007 one dimension moved from original location.
- Drawing extents changes and now longer can be zoomed as before, I have tried the F1 help to define the drawing limits and this has not worked.
Illustrator :: Flashing Text Cursor Not Visible On Portion Of Screen?
Jul 18, 2012Apparently the issue has been happening since as far back as CS2. The flashing text cursor is only visible in the upper left hand portion of the screen. If the text your are attempting to edit is on the far right or bottom of the screen, the cursor vanishes. Some people have suggested zooming in and out, but this only appears to solve the problem because the art board may get nudged into the "good" portion of the screen. I did a screen shot and found that the cursor is only visible in about a 930p x 600p area of the window (not including toolbars). Incindentally, the is the same size that the window defaults to when initially opened. On a HD monitor, this amounts to a very small space.

Photoshop :: Flashing Image Area In CS6
Sep 15, 2012As in title, in Photoshop CS6 I seem to be getting an awful lot of flashing of the image area. By "flashing" I mean that the area turns completely black for split second fairly often. It seems to be somewhat influenced by my actions, as when i alt-tab out of photoshop with the window still visible, the image area stops flashing.
My PC's specs:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
AMD Radeon HD5770
6 GB RAM
Windows 8
I seem to have found the thing causing the flashing, it seems to only occur when an area of the image is selected.

Apr 9, 2009I started learning Photoshop CS4 about a month ago. One of the first things I learned was to add text. Simple, fun. I am now trying to learn about layer masks. One of the exercises in one of my books is to open an image and then add text to it. (The idea is to then add a mask and 'hide' portions of the text behind portions of the image.) A really strange thing is happening when I try to add text. I highlight the image in the layers column. (Prior to adding any mask layers.) I then click the text tool. But when I click on the image (in the area where I want the text), the text tool 'becomes' a move tool. A text layer pops up and the words I'm trying to type on the image come out in the title area for the layer (in the layers column). I've tried everything I can think of to 'get' the text on the image but can't solve it.

Nov 2, 2012i switched gimp 2.6 to 2.8 and new text tool behaves strangely, as i remember in gimp 2.6 when i try to change text content with selecting old text and pasting new text i could use same text size and same font with my old text without doing anything but now in the gim 2.8 whenever i try to change content of a text layer i need to choose again font and text size from toolbox options, but why do i have to do this, i have a text placed on my image with a certain font and certain font size and i just want to alter my text conten not the size of text or font , it changes automatically to back text size and font whatever i used last time in another work.
summary: i want to change my text content without setting my font and font size properties, i want to use my text layers old properties

Other post talked about DPI and Java, which I have checked and still have the same problem. I've had the program installed on the same computer without this problem, and the setup is the same with the usual update in drivers.

Oct 22, 2012Using the horizontal text tool I can make a text box, but no text-blinker shows up in the box and when I type no text will appear. Although, in the Layers pannel on the right side it does name the layer whatever I have typed so why won't it show on the picture? Even if you make all other layers invisible the text layer still does not show up on a blank background.

Jun 9, 2007photoshop is not being able to deselect text when I am using the text-tool so I can edit more text. Here is what I mean - say you have two text layers that have been filled out. Now I want to change both of them to something else. I select the first text layer and change it's text. Now I want to move on to the next layer, I click some random tool and then click the text tool again. Is there a key command that I can hit that will make the text tool active so I can select the text on the other layer?
Also I'm using CS3.

Dec 9, 2013Recently i have been having a problem with Illustrator CC where while im working the top bar, tools etc will flash once for around a second then go back to normal while im doing this sometimes certain objects will be hard to move because of the flickering this keeps happening while working. Its kind of hard to explain really i have tried reinstalling Illustrator that didn't do anything and also resetting my preference which also didn't do anything. Ive tested other adobe products such as Photoshop which work fine no flickering.
I thought perhaps it could be a graphics card problems but tested a few video games and they run perfectly fine.

Jun 27, 2013Out of the blue my screen started flashing menu icons after every command except Save. I had two small files open, went from paper space to model space on one of them and BAM! flashing icons and prolonged lag time while the file went from model to paper space. Then after that every command (except Save) evoked some serious lag time and flashing icons.
