Autocad LT 2008 keep crashing and not responding everytime i try to open any drawing file.i don't know what is the problem since i only using Window XP with 2.67GHz, 3.36 GB of RAM.
View 4 RepliesI recently upgraded from map 2008 to civil 3d 2010. Whenever I open a drawing that was last saved/used in my map 2008 program, it freezes upon opening and tells me there are errors. If I ignore the problem, I can continue to open and work on drawing, but every time I open it up, I get the errors and the freeze. Is there something I can do in civil 3d 2010 that will bypass whatever is freezing it up? I have included a drawing that is freezing up in civil 3d 2009 and/or 2010 that was created with map 08
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've managed to get my VBA project messed up such that Inventor crashes when I try to load the project. The ivb file in question is attached.
Is there any way I can either open the .ivb file in some other more crash resistant program, how to get Inventor to not crash opening this file?
I am running the Coreldraw x6 suite on a PC laptop (I7 16GB ram 64bit) on Windows 8. I haven't had any issues lately until last week when it just crashed every time I opened a file. I tested it and if I create a file with just shapes in it, then it's fine. As soon as I add a font into the file it crashes and shows the attached image.
I checked the latest window updates and there hasn't been one recently that could have affected it. There was one for Flash and I removed it but no difference. I haven't made any changes to my computer in the last 2 weeks that could affect it and I don't have any viruses or trojans. I have also removed the Windows update from a while back that affected Coreldraw fonts.
I've even resorted to uninstalling and re-installing X6. I tried running the fresh install and the same thing happened again.
Photoshop Cs3 has started crashing all the time when opening a new document or file, pdf, eps, tiff, jpeg etc. It shows the preview starts to rasterize (pdf) and then the crash report comes up and the program crashes.
We are a printing company and I am not sure what is going on. I have removed deactivated and reloaded the program several times.
I've tried:
-Resetting the preferences
-Deleting the mediabrowser.plist and photoshop.plist
-Changing the default printer
-Updating Photoshop
-Updating OSX

I've been looking through old threads on here that all seem to date back to 2008 for this same problem I'm having, but the way to fix them only seems to work for Windows XP and I'm currently on Windows 7.
Problem:
I'll have a session of ACA 2008 running and if I double click on another dwg file it starts up another session of ACA instead of opening within the current session I'm already running. My SDI setting = 0. I tried switching it to 1 and that didn't work. Put it back to 0 and still didn't change anything.
One of the older threads on here [URL] .... says to go in to windows explorer/ tools / folder options, but that set up is different now in Windows 7 than it was in XP so I can't get to Files Tab and change anything for dwg.
I've recently got a new computer, and after installing corel on it, I've found that I am unable to open files with corel, as soon as i press the open button corel crashes, but i am able to open the files when i goto the actual file in my documents and click open in there, and i am unable to save files any way whatsoever (due to crashing isues again) i am also unable to export my artwork to a jpeg, also an immediate crash.

Problem repeats if you try to copy many dwg files from windows explorer, right button properties..i have already disabled "validate digital signatures and display special icons" on each machine .There isn't any slowness problem opening files on other application e.g.. Office.
I am having problems in opening a drawing exchange file sent to me by a friend who is using TurboCad V1.1 In trying to open the file using AutoCad 2000 I am getting the following error message "Invalid or incompatible DXF input - Drawing discarded".
I thought that the whole point of a dxf file was that it could be universally recognized from one system to another.
Is there a program available to convert newer Autocad files to older versions? I have a 2012 file that I want to read in 2008.

This command is not known in my version of AutoCad LT 2008. Is there another command I can use?
When I open a .dwg file from a saved location auto cad crashes about 35% of the way through loading. I did not have this problem when I was running Windowws XP but now I am running Windows 7.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am building a custom batch update for our drawings to take border definitions as well as custom iproperties from a current template and push them into a specified inventor dwg file. I built a form for the users to select the template they want to import into a list of files they place in the form. The program opens the template, get's all the information (iproperties, border defs, etc... using the active document to get the document) then iterates through the list of the users doing the following for each file (also getting the active document to get the items in each file): open, replace border definition, insert any non-existent custom iproperties, save and close the file. It works great when I keep the open visible set to true for the files. When I switch the visible property to false for each one of the files I want to open I get an error similar to this: Systems.InvalidCastException: Unable to cast object of type 'Inventor._DocumentClass' to type 'Inventor._DrawingDocument'. at ---- then my button click event here.
Does inventor technically not see a document as an active document if the file is not visible when opened?
I have this file that won't open in AutoCAD Architecture 2012, well let me rephrase that, it won't finish opening. It has 4 or 5 xref's attached. I was able to open this same file using 2010. Through process of elimination I was able to determine that a file that was exported from Revit MEP 2012 was the problem. When that file was detached the drawing would open just fine. To make things more interesting, I am able to open the Revit Export file just fine using 2012. What diabolical combination of event has happened to cause this SNAFU.

View 1 Replies View RelatedTypically at my company we rotate our drawing orientation under the Projects - Drawing Setup - Orientation. Rotate the drawing to a known basis of bearings. Then we label the boundary and the bearings are rotated to match the basis of bearings without having to rotate the drawing in model space. Just reciently my labels havne't been holding the orientation. So when I add a static or dynamic label the bearing reads as though my orientation is due north. BUT, when I loook at the line priperties, the bearing is correct, as it has held the orientation.

I have installed Autocad 2012 LT on Windows XP sp3. The program opened and worked fine after the install. The user was not sure they wanted this version so I did not activate the program right away. After the user decided they wanted to keep this version I activated the program with a license and now the program will not open. Crashes and does not give an error message.
I have tried to uninstall and re-install. I uninstalled netframework 3.5 sp1 and re-installed, still will not open.
we've just migrated to the 2014 release of the inventor suite and use vault basic. With the 2014 version of inventor the program immediately crashes when attempting to open an autocad dwg. Inventor dwg files open fine. We never experienced this issue in our previous release. We only use the dwg format and because the preview is not always available it often happens that we open an autocad dwg in inventor and vice versa. Crash is reproduced on multiple maches.

View 9 Replies View RelatedPhotoshop crashes immdeiately after opening. I installed cleanmymac a few days ago and after suffering numerous problems, decided to use timemachine to go back to before the cleanmymac install. Since then photoshop crashes on opening. Other cc products seem fine.
Since the restore, I have also done a microsoft outlook update, otherwise no other changes made.I have signed in and out of creative cloud, deleted preferences & restarted numerous times.Error report below:

The machine is a simple dell desktop, with Windows XP and Photoshop CS3.
When you're in the user session, you can open one file in Photoshop, but when you try to open a second one, Photoshop crash with a common Windows error message 0x7c928fea memory could not be written.
The computer has been all re installed from Windows to Photoshop, everything's up to date the problem still occures.
The weirdest part is,
When you're in the administrator session, there's no issue.

hen you give the administrator rights to the user, Photoshop still crashes.

Now today any drawing that opens shows the plan view as last saved but then after loading takes the drawing and shifts it into a 3d view similar to a crossection. View 7 Replies View RelatedOpening an 7gb 8bit psb file in PS CS6 64bit: PS opens the file and crashes immediately after showing the content (layers and image). an small error message is shown (but there is no description) Sometimes it opens the file, and i can work in it, and when i try to save it (in background AND normal), PS just disappears without error message
My work around: If i open another small jpg first (in first tab) and then open the big psb, i don't get this problem. but actually i never had it open for very long since i'm kinda scared to put some work into this unstable system.When doing this in PS CS6 32bit version, its pretty stable and i have no crash.
Funny thing is also, that one time I created a big file from like 20big tiffs in 16bit and could save it. All the time PS was running while creating stuff from scratch i didn't crashed. But after I saved the file and restarted PS, then he couldnt handle the file anymore and crashed like i said before.
