Dimension text is dull in print preview as well as print.
Same drawing if I open in 2011 LT or 2011 full version, no issue
What is the setting I must zoom in to solve this issue?
I am using AutoCAD's 2008 DWG to PDF. The quality is good but it does not match the preview. The preview shows the drawing centered. But when I print it and view the PDF, the drawing is off center and cut off. I tried to redefine the sheet size with no borders but it still does not center it.
View 9 Replies View RelatedFor some days when I press the open button or print button on the toolbar, Autocad LT 2008 does not respond until after two or three minutes and opens the window.
I noticed that this only happens when I have enabled LAN. The "plotter" that I use is shared by a print server and when I hit the open button, the default folder that shows me a folder on the server.
I received an Autocad file from another person, opened it with Autocad 2011 LT, and it looks fine. But when I go to print preview all the lines are very thick, making the detail of the drawing difficult to see. I've tried manually changing the lineweights but it has no effect on some of the layers. Is there an easier way to fix this other than recreating layers?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I am working on this document and it has silver background. I go to print preview (Photoshop cs3 and cs4 on Vista) and I get color looking more like bronze looking but when I do print, it comes out just like it should (in working mode which is Monitor RGB with Proof colors checked).
This setting is the only one I've used to make sure image/psd looks exactly like what it should when printing. I tried the default Working CMYK with and without Proof colors but it's still showing me the bronze look instead of silver. I've looked on the net and no exact easy fix for this was found. I really really appreciate any help.
Another simple question is regarding size. I'm working on a document size of 17.5 x 8.7 inches and the actual Banners will be printed at size 175 x 87 inches (5 banners each at 35inch wide but combined into a big one). So essentially, I'm working at 10% the size of what the final print will be and my file size is 760mgs. You can only imagine how big the file would be if I work on the actual size.
I'm using autocad 2000 and I have a problem printing & plotting. The print, plot preview only shows a section of the drawing. What settings do I need to change for the entire drawing to print for the paper size I need.

I have autocad 2013 student version installed on a MacBook Pro with OSX mountain lion, worked properly, but now I can not print anything in paper, pdf, or preview. I just try re-installing the software, creating new layout, select the printer from "Edit page setup" menu, without any results.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have the 2013 civil 3D version. I am doing a site plan for school, and would like to print it out so that everything shows up clearly.
I would like to print it on a 24x36 sheet, so I have set up my page to that size. When I maximize my viewport to the page borders so that the viewport is at its largest and scale the viewport so that the entire site plan fits in the viewport, everything shows up so small in the print preview screen. The annotations show up as black bars and I can only read them if I zoom in. I have limited access to printing so I want to make sure I get it right! Will I be able to read the annotations and hatching once it has printed? Even though I can't read them in the print preview or layout without zooming in?
I am using annotation scaling, so maybe my text height is wrong? Maybe I need a larger sheet than 24x36? My viewport and annotation scales are set to 1"=20' and box drawn around my site would be about 100' x 300'.
I'm using autocad map 2000. In model view I have inserted a map as an external reference. Then I have created a plot in paper view. Here the xref background is still visible. However, when i choose plot-->full preview I can't see the xref, only the other lines I've created. I'm using a HP designJet 500 in ISO A1 and have the following plot option selected:plot lineweights, plot with plot styles, plot paperspace last.
The drawing is pretty useless without the map
I'm using AutoCAD Map 3D 2009.
I've created a simple drawing in CAD that contains a cropped JPEG, a two toned hatched polygon in behind it two MTexts overlaying all.
I cannot view them in either normal plotting, pdf format, jpeg format and even dwf.
I've increased the ram used in the "Raster Extension Options" (2000 MB), I've set the plotting in the "Process Document" to "...In computer", I've saved it in older formats (2000/2004/2007), I've placed the drawing on both our public drives as well as the local, I've adjusted the "Raster and Shaded/Rendered Viewports" & "OLE" settings in the "Device and Document Settings" (None to Best). Not to mention the other variations in the plot menu.
I've tried everything I can think of and have read through several threads here and nothing works.
What drives me nuts about this, is that I'm able to print from a layout with no problems a 3D drawing, with 2D hatching, an extensive title block with hatching and a secondary overall viewport (minimal detail) in the main viewport area.
I have several viewports on my drg sheet, but when I print preview only one is visible, why is this?

with both "0x000a" and "2653281h" not always displaying the same values. Other 3d and 2d drawings preview with no problems, and i can navigate and make changes in the problem file without any errors.
I have a layout with a border that is alligned very well in the layout view (see attachement 1) but the whole thing somehow moves to the left when I preview the plot (attachement 2). I thought the dashed lines were supposed to indicate my printer's plot area. Is there a way to fix this anomanly? I have tried to play with page setup options, application options, but nothing works.

View 9 Replies View RelatedHave a dwg with two layouts sheets that print to pdf in paper space - one layout works just fine the other NOT.
Both include one view port and a few small details as pdf underlays(@ 150 kb each) in the PAPER space layout.
The problem sheet - ran a very slow plot preview but it did complete a full view of the layout, then when selected to do the plot it never completes the pdf.
I tried a pdf plot of the same area in MODEL space and it previews just fine and plots to a pdf just fine.
The lines apear with different width, but they have the same properties (layers, pen , thickness etc...). AND THERE s NO supperposed lines. The only thing different is one have vertex z, and the other only x and y.
Have tried following solutions:
match properties,
flatten image (all z with 0),
repair archive with audit, regen
copies past theses line in a new archive,
print with different printers...
nothing change.
Something more strange there, when i draw line they are with x and y vertex. When i draw circle it have also z vertex, wich made another apprarence... .
I am facing this problem that when i give plot command and preview the window it show fonts different other than my main window. Also it prints as per the preview window and not as per the fonts present in my AutoCAD model space and layout.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a sheet that has several alignments data referenced and labels applied. Recently some of the alignments changed (slightly extended), I checked the sheet and all of the labels have auto updated. Everything looks good. A Print Preview looks good.
When create the print (to pdf), the alignments that changed and all the labels do not show up. Nothing changed with layers, styles, etc. I tried Synchronize and Refresh from Prospector. I can create another Data Ref but don't want to go thru all the labeling again.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen printing I unchecked center image in PScs5 and reduced the size of my image, using the achor in the preview window, to run a test print. I'm printing to an Epson 3880. Once I ran the test print, I returned to PS and my original image. Selected print and only the preview of the test print is there. The orginal sized image will not load in the preview window. I have deleted the PS preferences and restarted twice. Even after moving to another machine, the profile seems to be embedded in my image. The same preview image is on the three machines I moved to.

This a new computer with fresh install of Photoshop. When she chooses Print with Preview and sets up all the parameters within the dialogue, and finally clicks print, the job goes straight to the printer (Epson 1440). She told me that on the old computer it would produce a preview as indicated and she could check colors, sizing, etc, before sending the job to print.
I've gone through and can't see any changes to be made that would enable this feature.
I am using CS2. when I print with preview and choose "any" icc profile, I see an off color image. This off color image is printed off color and not what I originally had. It is approximately 1/2 to one stop density lighter (and redder) and the shadows are cyan/blue, instead of neutral black.
If I choose Adobe RGB as the profile and print, the image is close but not correct. This is happening with CS2 and elements 6.
Of course the r1800 is set for ICM and off - no color adjustment.
I have down loaded new profiles, reinstalled my epson r1800, checked for missing files in CS2.
I am running windows XP Home, 2gig memory, dell xps. I have been using this system for over two years without a problem until now.

CorelDraw X6 disappears for a second or so to display print preview - showing all background windows.
When I attempt to view text with no fill and a hairline outline in the print preview nothing shows. Is their anyway around this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI tweaked an image in Develop and printed some 5x7s until I got it right and then went to 13x19 (first time ever using that size with my R3000). The print preview and the print were way too red. I went back to a 5x7 and it was way red as well in print preview, so I didn't print. I replaced a light magenta cart that I think ran out during the 13x19 print, and then some others that were low, and did a nozzle check and that was okay. I have spent hours looking around all of the settings (sRGB) and can find nothing that would explain what changed between my last good 5x7 print and the red 13x19. I went back to earlier versions and had the same problem. Monitor is due for recalibration, but that probably has nothing to do with it since it changed so suddenly.
