The new menu system that comes up when you right click. I don't like it, how do I turn it off?

I wan to turn this prompt off...period. Not fix it, just turn it off.
"The location of the selected file is not in the active project. To ensure that the file can be found when you open files that reference it, add the location to the project or move the file to a location specified in the project."
Looked through options, changed approproate setting to "Never". Still prompts.

View 8 Replies View RelatedNot only do I find the Marking Menu extremely annoying, but it's buggy as well. It cuts off the context menu in certain zones of he screen - see attached. If the object I right click on is low enough, it will bump the menu up. The classic context menu works just fine. I find this happening more than not when trying to suppress a part for a LOD.

View 7 Replies View Relatedrunning autocad 2012: there is an autopreview that shows what the command will look like before I hit return. How do I turn it off.
The issue is: I am overdrafting what Autocad is able to keep up with. I feel like I am now at half speed... I can replicate the same issue: offset x dimension; I move to left and hit enter; in the same instance autocad has autopreviewed right, and that becomes the command that sticks. really annoying... I have run ADT with bloated files on the same machine and not had this problem, so I figure its this feature that is causing the slowdown for me.
Since a few days I have the following issues with some menu's.
command; CUI - menu for half a second visible Pagesetupedit - menu does not appear Insert - menu does not appear
I have just been given an new PC and trying to configure as quickly as possible.
I'm using Autocad 2012 and I cannot get rid of the shortcut menu when using the
distance command. F12 works initlailly but only for first part of command.
Shortcut menu always appears.
I recently upgraded from 2007 to 2012 and the entire look and feel of the program is different. Like Microsoft, AutoCad has "upgraded" everything so overnight i have managed to go from marginally competent to totally inept!
I really really would like to know if it is possible to switch back to the classic view with the old tool bars and commands.
How do I disable the layout Tools Contextual tab in Civile3d 2012 so that is does not become active every time I change to Paper Space. I would like the ribbon to stay focused on the HOME tab when in paper space.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have used ACAD Lt 2000 for years and it has been fine untill recently. It does not seem to like the new hardware so I am trying the 2012 Lt for 30 days. One thing it is not letting me do is calibrate the digitizer, (a GTCO 3648 Rollup II) I am not even getting a "tools" menu and typing in "CAL" gets me a weird " >> Expression: " in the command line. It shows:

new Array command in 2012...
On a clean install without importing the users settings, the ribbon changes to to the array menu when the command is selected but if we import settings from a previous release it doesnt work.
All the other contextual menus like text editor and hatch menus work fine, seems to be just Array (I guess because its the only new one?)
Is there a way to get it working? I checked CUI and it appears under both Tabs and contextual Tab States, the settings seem the same as the others that are working?

When shooting on white seamless, I gradually bring up the background lights until I see the raw file just blowing out as I want it, at my shooting aperture. With LR4 and auto-recovery - using this method of 'metering' if you like - I'm adding 2-3 extra stops of light than I would expect before this happens, which then gives me wrap around and flare problems. I'd like to take back control of this, so I'm not guessing where my pure white is any more..
View 21 Replies View RelatedA new feature in 2.8 appears to be keyboard accelerators (shortcuts) forthe pull-down menus. For example, Alt-S displays the Select menu, Alt-Wthe Windows menu, etc.
I have already assigned these key-combinations to other functions in thekeyboard shortcuts menu, but the default menubar assignments are takingprecedence.
How can I disable these menu accelerators so that I can regain the use ofthe Alt-[ESVILCTRWH] sequences?
Maybe there should be a toggle on the Configure Keyboard Shortcuts menu tohandle this. And certainly, if you reassign these keystrokes in the menu,their original function should be disabled.

View 3 Replies View RelatedThe attached part has multiple holes in multiple locations...... I want to show in the .idw one set "row" around the circumference at a time.
So I want to show set one, how far in from the end of the tube, then how many and at what degrees around the 360*. to do this i can only suppress the other features right now.
so when I make another View those same parts are suppressed and i cant change it around otherwise it messes with the holes I want and don't want to show in the previous view.

Somehow my top level assembly shows the UCS triads for hundreads of my parts (but not all of them). I know I didn't turn the visibility of all these UCS triads on manually. Now I cannot get them to turn off.
When I toggle the visibility status of a few and save the file they come back when the file is reopened.
Note, they are NOT visibile in their respective part files, just in my top level assembly.
I made an assembly, placed a part and a sketch and constrained it, the first assembly file.
I want to turn it over, like in the second assembly.
The matemate and mateflush options in the constrain dialog box yield the same result, unlike in the tutorial:

I have a part given to me from a customer that has ALL custom planes turned on. This file is large and has many assemblies, part, sub assy's.... too much to go thru one at a time. Can I turn all 'plane views' off at once? Why? Because I find it messy... no other reason.

The views created are fine, however the detail indicator, the circle with arrows and identifier clutter the face of the object. If i could turn them off i would then use a leader to point to the detail instead, which in my case will be much neater.
When I edit a part directly in an assembly, clicking on 'edit sketch' (frequently) changes the view from the one I had set while looking at the assembly. Is ther any way to turn this OFF?
