How do I disable the layout Tools Contextual tab in Civile3d 2012 so that is does not become active every time I change to Paper Space. I would like the ribbon to stay focused on the HOME tab when in paper space.

I just want the default ribbon. I was able to do this on a previous version but now I forget how. Version upgrades do not bode well for old people.

In the table creation tools for parcels, you can bring in the parcel name, area, perimeter, and all of the line segments. Is there anyway to include only the frontage versus all of the line segments?

On a clean install without importing the users settings, the ribbon changes to to the array menu when the command is selected but if we import settings from a previous release it doesnt work.
All the other contextual menus like text editor and hatch menus work fine, seems to be just Array (I guess because its the only new one?)
Is there a way to get it working? I checked CUI and it appears under both Tabs and contextual Tab States, the settings seem the same as the others that are working?
Having issues with where the first section view starts when trying to place multiple section views on sheets. The problem I am having is that the offset from the bottom of the sheet frame seems to be a half unit off and grid lines will not line up with the sheet gridlines we have developed. I attached a pdf of the resulting offset. what I need to look for to adjust the bottom offset?

I have used multiple .NET Framework removal/repair tools, tried uninstalling all versions of .NET and reinstalling 4.0 from its official Microsoft standalone installer. However, every time I try to install 4.0, I recieve a message stating that it or a higher version of .NET is already installed.
Upon further research, I was informed that the .NET 4.5 Framework is an integral part of Windows 8 that cannot be uninstalled.
I cannot access any of the tools I need to in the program, so it is basically rendered useless (don't tell me to just use shortcuts because that is extreemely tedious and painful to make work properly, ive tried it). I have also thought about just installing Revit 11' and using that, but it is no longer available from Autodesk!
When I select a design object such as an alignment or corridor the contextual ribbon fails to appear. I'm working on C3D2012 and the ribbon has always appeared before.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to access a hatch pattern from the Hatch Creation Ribbon Contextual Tab, C3D stops working and I have to force the program to quit. I've tried repairing the installation, which didn't work. I've also compeltely uninstalled and then reinstllaed the program, and have applied the Service Pack 1 update, but the problem persists.
However, accessing a hatch pattern after using the "Hatch" command from the command does seem to work.
I am looking for tools be it tips and tricks or lisp that can make the most of layout tabs especially when I have many layout tabs in my dwg.

(in all workspaces, I have removed the aecmain.lsp witch i see loads into the toolbar, I have unloaded the partial cui and reloaded). If I set the workspace to one which it is turn off it goes away. Problem is that when I open again "its back". Is there another place that I don't know about that controls?
I "do" want to load the express tools. I don't want them to show in the menubar nor the ribbon. I want to allow command line or custom menu macro to call. I was able to do this in 2010.

I have used ACAD Lt 2000 for years and it has been fine untill recently. It does not seem to like the new hardware so I am trying the 2012 Lt for 30 days. One thing it is not letting me do is calibrate the digitizer, (a GTCO 3648 Rollup II) I am not even getting a "tools" menu and typing in "CAL" gets me a weird " >> Expression: " in the command line. It shows:
(mouse icon) Menu: Tools > Tablet > Configure
I'd like to create a new Menu which will contain few custom tools (ie. place text with particular font type, scale and justification)..I tried to import my customized menu from AutoCAD 2007 but that wasn't successful.

View 2 Replies View Relatedrunning autocad 2012: there is an autopreview that shows what the command will look like before I hit return. How do I turn it off.
The issue is: I am overdrafting what Autocad is able to keep up with. I feel like I am now at half speed... I can replicate the same issue: offset x dimension; I move to left and hit enter; in the same instance autocad has autopreviewed right, and that becomes the command that sticks. really annoying... I have run ADT with bloated files on the same machine and not had this problem, so I figure its this feature that is causing the slowdown for me.
I have 2 quick questions:
1- How do I turn OFF the display of Layers in Layout viewports, but they remain ON in the Model?
2- How do I rotate a group of objects to match my orthogonal UCS?
