View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an assembly which contains some content centre tapered roller bearings. When I do a slice of the entire assembly the bearings remain solid. Within the document settings>modelling tab the "Participate in Assembly and Drawing sections" is checked.
How can I get the part to be sliced within the half sliced view like everything else?
we have just upgraded our 5 man shop to X6.This is happening on all of our setups.
when we are selecting a row of text to edit. if you start typing while the old text is highlighted it will keep the current font and color.
if you select that row and hit backspace to delete a few letters until the text line is empty and begin typing it will default to Arial and make the color black.
On a few random idw files we are seeing the default "Number of copies" in the settings section of the print dialog box with strange high numbers in this case 693965387. As soon as the user selects a different printer the number drops to 1. If the user selects the printer properties and navigates to the advanced page the Copy Count is 1969. I have checked the default printer settings and it is set to 1 copy.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to slice an image using the filter-web-slice function but I was wondering if there is a way to customize the function or change its properties in the Python-Fu. I need gimp to slice by columns (start in the top left corner slice each grid down the column then proceed to the next column. Right now all I can get gimp to do is cut by rows. Normally gimps function would be fine but I need the image labeled a particular way so I can use the individual files in a map for a game. I'm making a 118 images so renaming them by hand would take too long.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI was designing a part which consisted in a circular sheet metal part with a hole in the center, and a bent rectangular radii-oriented section. The second feature is the one I want to give focus in this thread.
Take a circular sheet metal with a diameter of 30 mm and a thickness of 1 mm. Now, to achieve the bent section one would perform - in a workshop or any other equivalent - two parallel slices of about 5 mm in length with a distance from each other of 4 mm. The slice would start in the circumference and end somewhere nearer to the center of the disc, but not parallel to a radius (since its parallel to another slice 4 mm apart as said before). After the slicing was done, one would bend the section between the slices 90 degrees to any of the sides.
Now, in Inventor I couldn't find a way to do this. I couldn't just slice a line through the disc. I worked it around by cutting rectangles of 0.2 mm in width and with the length of the desired slices, and then using the folding command to bend it 90 degrees. Is it possible to perform this so called slices?
I want to slice a geometry partially. But not want to divide the geometry into two parts.
I attached a photo of a part. How can i draw this geometry by using Inventor?
After a slice operation i have to make a sketch and complete lines.
For example, if i slice in the middle of a threaded hole, in the slice i don't see the thread lines, i just see as if there was a hole.
I want to get a quarter of a circle. I have drawn a coloured circle but cannot see how to crop it to have exactly a 90º angle (a quarter of the circle) with no edge.
View 3 Replies View RelatedBasically what I said in the title, and I can't change it to something that's easier to look at. I can change the color of individual faces if I use the "adjust" tool, beyond that the only way I can change it is if I go to the "Realistically Colored Model" and turn on "Ray Shading" which basically renders it. When I select the body and hover over the current color it says "As Application Surface Color". Thats what the first attached picture is. In the 2nd attached picture, it is clearly not light red. And its still transparent which is bugging me more. format of the attached pictures. Untitled.jpg

View 10 Replies View RelatedI printed (2) 7x5 Prints using template browser. The top print is getting clipped about a quarter inch.
In the top left-hand corner both horizontal boxes are stating that the size is 7x5. I have double checked all the settings. Using a Epson 4900 printer sent to US letter, the only thing that is checked is zoon to fit, rotate to fit and show guides. am I doing something wrong or is this a program error that needs to be addressed?
I watched Matt Kloszowki's LR killer tip on borderless printing and followed his instructions but my 4x6 print only fills about a 40% of the paper and I'm not getting the full image. I added a border to outline the edge of the =print whic I scanned. What do I need to do to print the full image?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am working with AC 2012 LT on a Windows 7 x64 system and printing to an HP Laserjet 5200tn connected by USB. The issue that we are having is when we try to print a secion of a drawing. Under the printer properties, portrait is selected and the layout window shows a portrait orientation. However, when we preview or print, the results are in landscape orientation. I've gone over the printer settings a few times, updated the driver, and tested that other programs on the same computer don't have the same issue.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have PaintShop Pro X3 and pretty much all the other programs. I scanned lots of photos (6*4) at a 300 dpi which works out at about 11 meg each photo (i think this was overkill!). However, when i created a slideshow these photos are shown as about one quarter sized. Is there any way i can correct this ? Should i for the future scan at a different dpi ? I want to view the images as a slideshow and am not interested in printing them.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI am desperate and cannot think what else to try? I used Lr 3.6 to create custom (4 identical) photos to print on Kodak 210x297 mm (A4) glossy paper, using an HP 309a Photo-smart Premium inkjet printer. The size on the computer screen looks correct, in that the 4 pictures take up the whole A4 sheet. However, when I print, only one quarter of the photo paper is used, -ie., the 4 prints are all in one corner, and each print is like a tiny thumbnail. I have tried to vary the way I set this up by using different templates but nothing I do works at all, and I'm just wasting more and more paper.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to get sheet number of the base view for the Selected Child view (Mainly for Section. Detail Views). Because the Section views, Detail views (initially they would have created on the same sheet where the parent is, then they moved to different sheets). So we place the parent view sheet number.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI started with a Left side view of a part and created a sectioned view right down the middle so you can see the insides from another view. the part is pretty big so i used a Break to shorten it to fit the page. I also placed a smaller and separate isometric view of the same part and want this view to inherit the same break. How can I do this? If I go into the display options of the iso view, all the cut inheritance options are grayed out and can't be clicked. I've seen this done before, but i'm sure i missed a step somewhere.

I have made an exploded view and placed it an a drawing. I would like to view inside one of the bodies to show where the exploded internals sit, however when I do a break out of the body the trail lines from the exploded internals also get sectioned. Is there a way to control the sectional properties of a trail line?
View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter upgrading to Inventor 2014 we notice that the graphics do not work properly, and that the overall performance in drawings and modelling bad compared to 2013. Then we installed SP1 and now drawing views are disappearing, however when we select "shaded" view the view reappears and works perfectly..
Any workaround regarding disappearing views?
How can I make LR3 not automatically create a TIF file when I open a DNG for the first time? I don't want this to happen. I've checked every preference I can find and can't find any settings to change this. When I try to do a batch run from CS4 on the DNG files, because LR3 creates a TIF files simultaneously, the batch next wants to run on the TIF file LR3 created in the same folder as the DNG files!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a long shaft with parts mounted on. i want to section it and show the parts. i don't need to show the whole length of the shaft.
I know i can crop the isometric view, but this way i will not see the key hole which is on the other side, it's hidden.
If i make a section it 's in an orthogonal view only.
I want to make the section view, but later to transform the sectioned view to an isometry. is it possible?
Is there a way to save a section view in the assembly as a view rep? Am using 2011.
View 9 Replies View RelatedEach time when I place a part in base view, have to follow few steps; go through view label, format Text, than choose type option - [Properties-Model] and its property - [Part Number], than placing dimensions. it takes long time and very repetitive, especially, when placing a hundreds of parts and I was wondering if there is an option, to set up view label; [Properties - Model ]& [Part number], as a DEFAULT. So, each time placing a part, in base view it will come up with correct label. Also, overall dimensions, can it be retrieve using parameters of the part?
