This morning I somehow changed the way the command icons are displayed, so how can I restore the command icons back to the default display. I've tried to figure out where the setting is for the way the icons are displayed, but I haven't been able to reset it back to the default setting.
Here's what the display got changed to, that I want to change back to the default setting.
Is there a way to display large icon without text in the ribbon in autocad 2011? or this feature is only available in 2012 and up.
Is there a workaround to display large button icon without text in 2011?
The PC (running XP PRO 32bit) in question is at a middle school, so I'm sure someone was playing with settings, but I cannot find what they changed. underneath each screen icon that should say INVENTOR STUDIO, APPLICATION OPTIONS, SHEETMETAL, MODEL, etc. etc...all that shows is boxes; it's like they've either changed the language for the app to chinese (or other unsupported/unloaded in our OS) or some system font is haywire, but this only is affecting Inventor 2011 so far so I believe they changed a setting in the app. Once I get into a menu option; the text for each tab is correctly displayed. Where would one set the text/font for all icons in the Inventor 2011 interface?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have to continually update the views for all of my parts regardless of how many times I change my settings and save. I recently updated to 2013 FDS. I've changed the default template but still no go. The views continually revert back to some default that looks horrible. At times the backgroud display will remain but eventually reverts back to some default. I've updated the document settings, application settings, and template settings but still get the same thing.

Now you just get the end points displaying as yellow circles and it can be quite difficult to see where the line is. What's the point of this change? Is there a way to get the old behaviour back?

After the part file is saved initially I'm running an ilogic routine that assigns a "special" part number (not the same as the file name). I can get the part number into the PN iproperty easily but I can't find a way to programmatically change the display name in the top browser node. Please see attached for clarification.

When multiple documents are loaded, there are document tabs shown in het bottom area of the Inventor window, these show the File Name. I would like to show the DisplayName there but I don't knop how.

I am using Civil3d 2011 and the ribbon will not display. The button seem to work some times but I can't see the ribbon, QAT, or Infocenter. I tried relaoding the CUI files, updated video card drivers, Civil3D patches, even uninstalled and reinstalled Civil3D.
I can turn the ribbon off (ribbonclose) and the ribon area is rendered correctly on the screen. I can turn the menubar on/off and it works just fine.
I tried logging on to the computer as different user, as the administrator, etc. Same error.
I use the Ribbon but now I can't because I can't see it.
I have attached a screen shot of the ribbon area.
why the Arial narrow font used in dwg files from earlier Acad version won't display as expected in Acad 2011/Windows 7/32 Bit.
All text characters display as a very simple thin lines of constant thickness no matter how close you zoom in. Neither can I create new text using A/Narrow though all other fonts work ok.
Files with this issue were created in WindowsXP on a PC and the problem is surfacing on Win7 running on VM Ware Fusion installed on iMac & therefore preventing me from fully migrate over to Mac as I need to work now and again on old files.
I recently downloaded the student version of Inventor Professional 2013 (64-bit). I made some parts and ran some stress analysis simulations on the parts. I restarted Inventor after running a simulation and upon the reopen, none of the add-ins on the Environments tab were there and the Add-Ins manager does not open. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the entire program, even tried installing different model years of Inventor; none of the versions load the add-ins and the add-in manager fails to load.

It was working fine on 8 but crashes on the loading screen now Ive upgraded to 8.1. Upgrading to 2014 is not an option for me as my professor uses 2013 software and he will not be able to open 2014 files.

My problem is that i am working on a large process plant all done in inventor and the file is quite large. It takes along time to load and is really laggy when inside the model. Now the model is based in my local office's server my question is if i was using Vault would it keep a local copy on my C:// rather than trying to refresh all parts from ther server. If it is a matter that when working with large files using Vault is the better option than i will need to take some advantages

I went into options and changed the pathway for any prompt I saw had the former location. Next the part files I am working on are said to be missing. Something about the project location. I tried adding the files through managing the project found in options. Now Inventor says it is unable to open or even recognize the part files saved. Just installed 2012 Pro last week and tried to run FEA today. Everything else is running fine. Started with existing model and had this error. Went to a simple part with rectangle sketch 6x1x.125thk and still receive error. Found multiple issues with mesher errors in forum. So I removed all Autodesk products, cleaned registry, turned off antivirus and reinstalled software and SP1 and still receive error.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI think that something is not the way it is suppose to be at my ribbon I have a Inventor Studio icon but by defaults is not active (it's grayed out) so in order to turn it on I have to go to add ins and turn Inventor Studio off and than on again and in that way I am able to activate the Inventor Studio button but after that all the buttons in the Rendering Studio tab are inactive so I cannot use them. And I cannot figure out where is the problem. Is it because I am using the student version of the software and it has some kind of limitations on the rendering engine, or it is some kind of malfunctioning of my installation. Everything else is working normally I can modell I can do a rey tracing viewport renders but I cannot run the studio environment interface.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am using a symbol that includes a several text boxes. Each text box includes "prompted text" and "drawing properties". When I insert the symbol onto a drawing, the "Edit Property Fields" menu appears. In this menu, I can input my prompted field text or see the various "drawing properties".
My question is, how do I change the order that these property fields are displayed? It seems as if it depends on the order that the text boxes were created while defining the symbol definition. Is there any other way to change the display order?

When trying to link to excel file get error "Not Implemented". Have tried the registry 'fix' - does not work. Need to get these links working to drive models. This same Excel version works fine for Solidworks which inks perfectly with no issues whatsoever. Inventor has been a problem for 2011,and now 2012 - still not working.
I used to be able to maximize a display window and then make the image fit the window and finally shrink the window to fit the image. This seems to have changed recently. What are the equivalent keystrokes to accomplish fitting the image to the window and then shrinking the window to the image?
