When using pack and go, is it possible to select several idw files at the same time? The some of the idw files is using the same parts, but many is not using the same parts. The parts that I want to copy by using pack and go is not in vault.

So we are wanting to send on a model to a customer. I have used pack and go with the following settings:
Copy to Single Path
Model Files Only
When I try and open the newly created files, it gives a bunch of error messages looking for FEA files, as well as missing some OLE links, which is good as I don't want to send on any FEA information with the model, but is there a way to strip that out completely from the model without having to go through each individual file and deleting all of the simulations?
I recently did a pack and go on a top level assembly. Kept folder hierarchy. Included linked files. Included referenced files. All OK so far.
Then opened the assembly in the “Pack and go” folder I created to put it, and it cannot find all the content center parts, such as the ASME eccentric reducer and M24 bolt – see attached i.e. I had to resolve the links. I know they came over with the pack and go as they are in the “Libraries” folder.
On a couple assy's, I am trying to use pack&go to make self-contained versions of them.
Only problem is, the assy file (xxx.iam) and all sub-assy files are still linked to the component files in the original location even though the component files were copied to the new location with the P&G command
The whole point in this feature is to make self sufficient copies of something that don't depend on the original data.
This shows the settings I am using It is finding all the files ok. It just doesn't change the relationships on the new iam files. I could manually copy them and do the same thing this feature is doing.
Is there some hidden checkbox I need to find ? Note, I also tried once with "Include linked files" unchecked and got the same result.
I am trying to get AutoCAD LT 2002 working in Windows 7. I did searching on these boards and from what I read the solution is to install the AutoCAD LT 2002 service pack (upgrading AutoCAD to verison 44) and then instal the gedit 3 compatibility patch (upgrading it from verison 44 to 47.
The problem I have is that when I run the service pack installation program (K030ltss1_K044_aclt_unl.exe) I get a message that my installation is already up to date. However when I check the version in autoCAd itself it says that it's still at version 30.
I am trying to install a service pack. the file is...
autocadmap3d2011lockedx86sp2
I click to install this application service pack and this error appears...
THe update could not be installed because the expected autodesk product could not ne located on your computer. Make sure that you are using the correct update for the product.
I believe I have the correct file for the product but I do not know were to go from here.
Since my AutoCAD crashes when exiting 95% of the time I thought I would install service pack 1.1. I have the 64 bit version of Autodesk Product Design Suite Premium 2013 which includes AutoCAD, AutoCAD Mechanical and AutoCAD Electrical. It is a Windows 7 HP XW series workstation.
Everytime I try to install the service pack it does not install, and a dialog box pops up stating "The service pack could not be installed because the expected Autodesk product could not be located on your computer." To be certain I tried both the 64 bit and 32 bit service pack. What may be causing this? Is this possibly caused by the fact that in Autodesk Product Design Suite Premium, AutoCAD is kind of a burried inside AutoCAD Mechanical, somewhat like a sub-program of AutoCAD Mechanical.
I have a user who needs to be able to enter Chinese characters into AutoCAD 2010. The characters display properly in Windows, but AutoCAD cannot recognize them. I believe I need a language pack. Where can I find the official 2010 AutoCAD language packs? I don't see them in Subscription.
My AutoCad 2013 is a bit unstable and crashes fairly often. Autodesk is telling me to install the 64 bit service pack. When I try to run it, I get an error code 1324 (illegal character in My Documents) and error code 1603.
I am using AutoCad LT 2013, 64-bit on Windows 7 Professional. I noticed there is an update available as I was using the program. When I attempted to update Service Pack 1.1, I get this error "A problem prevented the Service Pack from being installed. Contact your system administrator. Error 1603"
I was rolling out 2013 in one of our offices during the brief time SP1 was available. I went ahead and included SP1 in the office's network deployment (using the append option) and installed on all the machines in that office. Now that SP1 has proven to to be a problem, is there any way to uninstall the SP without having to do a complete uninstall and reinstall at each machine? Tried checking thru control panel (with and without "show updates" turned on), but the SP does not appear in the list to uninstall separately.
After installing SP3 for XP I encountered problems while opening files in Photoshop. It takes 10x times more to open GIF, JPEG, PNG and PSD files than before. While it opens, Photoshop seems to freeze and it takes up to 20 seconds until a 10x10 pixel file or a 10MB PSD file is opened. So size doesn't matter.
I have crappy Windows Vista 32bit and just updated to Service Pack 1,
I use to open up any image the default use to be my PSCS3, Now I have patched to the Service Pack 1 the default is Microsoft Picture manager.
I right clicked on the image, chose open with>choose a default program and at the top
Photoshop was not their just Paint, Picture Viewer etc. So I clicked on browse c:Programs>Adobe>Photoshop CS3>Photoshop (the Photoshop icon at the very bottom). Then highlight the icon, Photoshop appears in the file name, then pressed open but absolutey nothing happens.
I go back into the other programs and recommended programs but Photoshop is not their and my images still load in Microsoft Picture Mangaer.
I have been using the full version now for about 6 weeks and its hopeless. I can't do anything without it crashing, oh i can open it Thank god i have CS3 .. it works fine doing all the same work.If adobe ppls read this .... Can i ask what the you are doing? - i can't believe i paid lots of $$ for this .. Photoshop CS4 is very very flakey. in the last 24 hours i have had 7 crashes from CS4 .. not one from CS3 .... Total crashes using CS4 over two machines would exceed 50-60 crashes now, it seems it cannot even make an action without crashing 5 times. Can i have a refund or can you appease me and tell me i don't have the correct service pack, not develop software for adobe and fix there problems by been on the phone to them 24/7. I would even be keen to hear I'm not alone and this is a flop.
Having learned the drill with VS Pro X3, I went right to the "Do More" tab to download Extra Templates, Font Packs, and Title Packs after completing my new VS Pro X4 installation. Almost all of the "Free" packs downloaded and installed as expected without incident. (The word INSTALLED now appears under each successfully installed pack in the list of downloaded elements which originally showed a button reading DOWNLOAD NOW.)
However, for some unexplained reason, when I click my mouse on the DOWNLOAD NOW button for Font Pack 2, I see a very brief busy icon, followed by no noticeable response from the server. No error message is given.
I have tried closing VS Pro X4 and then relaunching the app before attempting to download Font Pack 2. I have tried closing VS Pro X4 and then rebooting my PC before relaunching the app and attempting to download Font Pack 2. Neither tactic succeeded.
I got great results with X4, until it installed the service pack this week.. Now i cannot render an mp4 without long sections 'staggering' - like a strobing effect on the entire render, the picture lurches as it plays, and things like VLC hang when scanning thru the file..
Also, the framrate i set now has little relation to the actual outcome..
The piece i am rendering fails at a different point each time - the staggering starts and thats that, framrate drops to about 2fps - utterly useless..
I have tried removing the install and re-installing, but when i do this i can clearly see by 'check for updates' that there are no updates, which means SP2 is surviving the uninstall.
I have tried every combination of every setting for days, this is a new problem directly related to the service pack..
Where can i get a manifest of the files in the service packs? i'm going to have to remove them all by hand and start again..
I have a number of the Topaz Labs plug-ins and have recently downloaded and installed D x O film pack. I cannot get PS5 to recognize all the filters at once.
When I go to the preferences/additional plug ins window, I can get PS5 to "see" either topaz labs directory or the DxO directory. What do I have to do to get the filters drop down menu to see all my installed plug ins?
sometimes when working with photos on removable drives in ACR and then later in PS I forget to first write the raw files onto its final destination.I understand why this happens to me. One isn't sure whether the raw-file is at all worth it and then finally everything is done and one now better should make sure that PS finds its stuff when editing the psd anew. At least given one brings in raws as as smart object from ACR....
My question is: Is there maybe a "pack and go"-script around which allows gathering all project-files, best on open projects at once ?The script looked for the raw, and the sidecar with settings. Then the script simply asked for a common storage-location, together with the psd.
This will not install. It cannot find PSPPro.msi and neither can I using search. I do have Service pack 2 installed. Everytime I open the program it wants me to update. I am using Windows 8.
I need a consensus from the forum members here regarding this Service Pack 2 update (which is named Patch3.exe). I've read that it causes problems and I've read where it doesn't. As of right now, without the patch, my version is 13.6.2.36 , I think with the patch it will be .69, or is there another patch (or version) floating around out there that is more stable?
Also, under Settings>Performance the "Use Hardeware Encoder acceleration" is grayed out. How to check that thing off and what hardware are you using to get it to show up?
I just had an MXF deliverable fail out of a broadcaster's pipeline because it didn't have a Random Index Pack in the file. They were also concerned that they could not preview the file in VLC before submitting it to their pipleline.
The spec of the file was DVCProHD with 10 channels of audio. The asset management system they would've submitted it to was a Digital Rapids StreamZ, but they have some sort of file checker script they run on it first so that they don't waste time copying or re-encoding any files that don't conform to their spec. (which is a bit vague, but it sounds like my MXF would've passed except for this one issue)
I just wanted to share this document I came across while looking for info on MXFs. URL.....It sheds some light on this dream I have where I might someday be able to insert edit a single shot into a feature length file as simply as I can on a tape.
I am trying to use paint.net to make a texture pack for Minecraft. I want the inventory screen to be transparent. So I tried to use the color replacer with a tolerance of 0 to replace a color with a transparent black. So original color -> transparent color. But what happens is that the color that is partially transparent just layers on top of the other, just making it black. Since I need to get the shape and outline exactly right of all the boxes in this inventory screen, erasing and recoloring each pixel isn't really an option.
I recently installed this pack, it seemed too much for me and lagged Paint.net a lot. So I decided to delete it. I didn't know how to, so I just re-installed Paint.net, and then came back on it, and all of the effects are still there. I tried manually going into the Effects folder to delete them, but it just pops up saying I don't have permission to delete that file.I'm stuck with this and can't get back to normal Paint.net.
I am unable to find a working link to download the HTML5 pack for Illustrator 15.1.0. Links such as [URL] all redirect me to CS6 marketing. Am I misunderstanding the installation steps required for HTML5 or are all links to download the HTML5 pack currently broken?
