Since my AutoCAD crashes when exiting 95% of the time I thought I would install service pack 1.1. I have the 64 bit version of Autodesk Product Design Suite Premium 2013 which includes AutoCAD, AutoCAD Mechanical and AutoCAD Electrical.  It is a Windows 7 HP XW series workstation.
Everytime I try to install the service pack it does not install, and a dialog box pops up stating "The service pack could not be installed because the expected Autodesk product could not be located on your computer." To be certain I tried both the 64 bit and 32 bit service pack. What may be causing this? Is this possibly caused by the fact that in Autodesk Product Design Suite Premium, AutoCAD is kind of a burried inside AutoCAD Mechanical, somewhat like a sub-program of AutoCAD Mechanical.
I am trying to get AutoCAD LT 2002 working in Windows 7. I did searching on these boards and from what I read the solution is to install the AutoCAD LT 2002 service pack (upgrading AutoCAD to verison 44) and then instal the gedit 3 compatibility patch (upgrading it from verison 44 to 47.
The problem I have is that when I run the service pack installation program (K030ltss1_K044_aclt_unl.exe) I get a message that my installation is already up to date. However when I check the version in autoCAd itself it says that it's still at version 30.
This will not install. It cannot find PSPPro.msi and neither can I using search. I do have Service pack 2 installed. Everytime I open the program it wants me to update. I am using Windows 8.
My AutoCad 2013 is a bit unstable and crashes fairly often. Autodesk is telling me to install the 64 bit service pack. When I try to run it, I get an error code 1324 (illegal character in My Documents) and error code 1603.Â
I am using AutoCad LT 2013, 64-bit on Windows 7 Professional. I noticed there is an update available as I was using the program. When I attempted to update Service Pack 1.1, I get this error "A problem prevented the Service Pack from being installed. Contact your system administrator. Error 1603"Â
I was rolling out 2013 in one of our offices during the brief time SP1 was available. I went ahead and included SP1 in the office's network deployment (using the append option) and installed on all the machines in that office. Now that SP1 has proven to to be a problem, is there any way to uninstall the SP without having to do a complete uninstall and reinstall at each machine? Tried checking thru control panel (with and without "show updates" turned on), but the SP does not appear in the list to uninstall separately.
I am trying to install a service pack. the file is...
autocadmap3d2011lockedx86sp2
I click to install this application service pack and this error appears...
THe update could not be installed because the expected autodesk product could not ne located on your computer. Make sure that you are using the correct update for the product.
I believe I have the correct file for the product but I do not know were to go from here.
After installing SP3 for XP I encountered problems while opening files in Photoshop. It takes 10x times more to open GIF, JPEG, PNG and PSD files than before. While it opens, Photoshop seems to freeze and it takes up to 20 seconds until a 10x10 pixel file or a 10MB PSD file is opened. So size doesn't matter.
I have been using the full version now for about 6 weeks and its hopeless. I can't do anything without it crashing, oh i can open it Thank god i have CS3 .. it works fine doing all the same work. If adobe ppls read this .... Can i ask what the you are doing? - i can't believe i paid lots of $$ for this .. Photoshop CS4 is very very flakey. in the last 24 hours i have had 7 crashes from CS4 .. not one from CS3 .... Total crashes using CS4 over two machines would exceed 50-60 crashes now, it seems it cannot even make an action without crashing 5 times. Can i have a refund or can you appease me and tell me i don't have the correct service pack, not develop software for adobe and fix there problems by been on the phone to them 24/7. I would even be keen to hear I'm not alone and this is a flop.
I got great results with X4, until it installed the service pack this week.. Now i cannot render an mp4 without long sections 'staggering' - like a strobing effect on the entire render, the picture lurches as it plays, and things like VLC hang when scanning thru the file..
Also, the framrate i set now has little relation to the actual outcome..
The piece i am rendering fails at a different point each time - the staggering starts and thats that, framrate drops to about 2fps - utterly useless..
I have tried removing the install and re-installing, but when i do this i can clearly see by 'check for updates' that there are no updates, which means SP2 is surviving the uninstall.
I have tried every combination of every setting for days, this is a new problem directly related to the service pack..
Where can i get a manifest of the files in the service packs? i'm going to have to remove them all by hand and start again..
I need a consensus from the forum members here regarding this Service Pack 2 update (which is named Patch3.exe). I've read that it causes problems and I've read where it doesn't. As of right now, without the patch, my version is 13.6.2.36 , I think with the patch it will be .69, or is there another patch (or version) floating around out there that is more stable?
Also, under Settings>Performance the "Use Hardeware Encoder acceleration" is grayed out. How to check that thing off and what hardware are you using to get it to show up?
I purchased PSP-X4 Ultimate in a box. I was able to install the program itself onto my netbook but neither the Ultimate Pack nor the ProX4-KPT download could install because the popups are so big the buttons to click are inaccessible.
I tried changing the resolution and some other generic workarounds I found in a net search, to no avail.
The program itself was a little difficult to install for the same reason, but there was just barely enough of the buttons accessible to successfully click on them.
I have a new computer, but I backed up my photoshop files onto the online service, and paid for that. Now I have gotten my photos back, but am unable to find the catalog. How to find the catalog in the backup service files?
I recently upgraded to PSE11 but the installation did not create the service Adobe Active File Monitor V11. I followed the forum thread [URL] .... to completely uninstall, remove residual files, reinstall from DVD. Still the service DOES NOT EXIST.  I followed the Elements Village thread on "Watched Folders Issues" to manually create the service. But when I attempt to start it, I get an error that says "Error 1053 The service did not respond to the start of control request in a timely manner."  I'm using WinXP Media Center Ed. SP3.
The Autocad 2013 x86 or x64 is not installed on Windows 8 Consumer Preview because programs can not read .NET Framework versions 2 and 4 which are integral parts of the OS.
We installed autocad 2013 network license on server and able to access from client machine. However, we are unable to access license from server itself.
Before I installed the Product Design Suite, Network License.  I did a Clean Uninstall of all Autodesk software: Uninstalled Programs, Deleted remaining Autodesk Folders, Cleared the Registry of all things Autodesk, cleared the Windows Temp folder, and Even ran Windows Install Clean Up Program.  Clean slate, start the install, type in my three redundant license server names, the suite installs without a hitch. Â
I reboot. I opened AutoCad Mechanical, and AutoCAd with not issues.  However Inventor, Showcase, Sketchbook, 3ds Max, and Fusion will not load/open,  all is the blue spinning wheel.   Check the Task Manager and see the program in processes, nothing happens. Then I right click on the image, and I will get a window stating program not responding.
I checked my Environmental Variables and the ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FLEX and FLEXLM_TIMEOUT are set correctly.Â
I do understand why my Autocad and Mechanical are the only software that functions out of the suite.    I have done a complete uninstall and re-install and the issue still exists.  Only AutoCAD will Open and function. Intentor will not open.

I have a strange one here. Installed 10 seats of Inventor 2013 on Win 7x64, all but 2 cannot export an AutoCAD DWG. When you go to export the file, clicking on Options does nothing. On the one I have tried a repair install, this did no0t work, I then did an uninstall/reinstall, this fixed it. On the second machine, I was hoping I could get away with copying the dwg export .nin file. This has not worked
The Architect posted a drawing that I must print in 2012 format (she forgot to save to 2004). I have tried 6 machines in our office this morning, attempting to get True View 2013 to run. The exact same error problem that plagued my attempts to use True View 2012 are occurring. True View says .NET 4.0 isn't installed. The problem is, that it is installed and running correctly. In two of the machines I went through the repair process of .NET 4.0 to see if there was a problem. There wasn't, no change; True View still errored out before installing. Is this a problem with buggy software? Are there any other options open to me? I don't know why they stopped updating True Convert. It was far superior and not full of programming/install bugs.
All our DWG files are stored on a network share. Files in that share are indexed by Windows Server 2008 r2, so searching in files from within Windows 7 is quite easy.
Unfortunately, the server doesn't index DWG files - it doesn't have the required filter installed. Now I can add the DWG extension, but it will use a 'Plain text filter' that's unable to look inside the DWG's. It should use the AcDwgFilter.
So: How do I get the server to index DWG's without installing AutoCAD? I.e. how to install the AcDwgFilter on the server.
Working on Autocad 2013 Mechanical. I ALWAYS have the Autodesk 360 SignIn objects on the top bar. I have disabled the Autodesk 360 from the installation list in the network deployment. But this doesn't work. I have also modified the registry and the .ini files but it seems NOTHING works! How can I install AutoCAD in silent mode without getting these objects on the top bar?
